Awesome little mom and pop. Went there through an online tip that they sell the best lard in Oakland. Well the verdict is still out but they have a heck of a better price than all those hoity toity high end meat shops. I got 32ounces for about 4 dollars! Be warned! The English is limited here.

«Arrichera preperada.» Learn that key phrase in Spanish, order a few pounds of it here, grill it up at home and impress your family with what an amazing chef you are. The rest of the market is okay — there’s some groceries. tortillas, and a little produce — but the meat’s the reason to come here.

Felt it had been long enough to try them again. And, with not much surprise, I got far better service. Veggies were a bit underwhelming, but the garlic & limes were good.
