In the 2012 holiday season, I was about to go on a trip from my parents’ place in Florida to the Dominican Republic, but I realized about 24 hours before my flight that I had left my passport at home in Berkeley.
I found Henry online. He picked up my passport from my apartment after I alerted my landlady, and sent it from OAK airport by air freight (in the cargo hold of a regular passenger flight), so that it arrived at the freight services center at the Miami airport a few hours before my outgoing flight. He helped me through the process of arranging a flight itinerary for air freight, and he did all this on trust: without any guarantee of my identity or upfront credit card authorization. He’s a lifesaver.
I just remembered this because the same thing happened to my knucklehead friend today, and it looks like that’s getting resolved beautifully.

Our association held a large conference in downtown San Francisco in November, 2015. We had people in several different locations who received the boxes of give-​away items for conference attendees at their homes (conference bags, mugs, etc.). In all, dozens of boxes of different sizes & weights that all needed to be delivered to the downtown SF hotel on a Sunday late afternoon for the Monday morning conference kick-​off.
The logistics were complex, three stops, two in the East Bay (San Ramon) to meet a volunteer at a specific time, pick up all boxes, move on to the next stop to meet another volunteer and pick up more boxes. Then get to San Francisco to meet yet another volunteer at our Chapter storage locker, then finally drop it all off at the Hotel Nikko by 4:00pm. Needless to say, the conference leaders were nervous that it all come off as planned since we didn’t relish the idea of 400 disappointed conference attendees on Monday morning.
To the rescue came Henry! We worked with him weeks in advance to give him a sense of the size of truck he’d need and how many helpers would necessary for all the loading and unloading. We laid out the schedule of stops, times, and who to meet at each. When Sunday came, Henry’s truck and VERY friendly and professional staff showed up at each location, on time (or ahead of schedule). Everything was at the end destination when needed. I could not have asked for better execution.
Henry’s price was very reasonable, and he was an excellent communicator throughout the process. Needless to say, we’re planning on using his superior service again next year.

These guys were great. I urgently needed a car driven from the Bay Area to the Reno, NV area on short notice (just a few hours). They sent a driver out within an hour to pick up the car and deliver it as needed. They had to get a rental car to get back to the Bay Area. They worked with me on all the details every step of the way and performed flawlessly. Charges were reasonable considering the difficulty of the job.

Henry and his guys moved us twice – and did so with such great efficiency that the move was painless. Highly organized – despite my lack of– and Henry makes a point of telling «old people» (like me) that they should not be lifting things… much appreciated!
Love these guys — and would even consider moving again just to have them move us… Great service! Cannot say enough great things about them…

Being in the mortgage lending business means you have to have a high tolerance level for pain, stress & disappointment. Anything that can go wrong on a deal usually does go wrong, so no matter how much time you allow for glitches and delays, there comes that inevitable moment when it’s the 11^th hour of your deadline and you only have hours to get hard copies of signed loan documents to a title company halfway across the state or else your whole friggin’ deal’s dead and all the hard work you did for 2 months goes up in smoke & you get paid zilch for your efforts. When it absolutely, positively has to get there the same day or the next day, Fed Ex, DHL & UPS ain’t got nuthin’ on Henry’s. I’ve had nothing but problems using the major carriers & the US Post Office but as the saying goes, you only get what you pay for. I don’t know how they manage to get the job done so efficiently & reliably every time but if you’re willing to pay the price, you can always count on the super couriers at Henry’s to save the day. And speaking of price, their’s is actually lower than alot of comparable same-​day delivery services out there.
