I had a excellent experience working with Mike! He put together a special bouquet on the fly for my sisters Birthday and delivered them to her. Sent me pictures to ensure I was happy and followed up after the delivery. It was an incredible experience. Thank you Mike!!!

I normally don’t buy flowers, but it was for someone special and was her birthday. I also don’t write too many reviews, but I promised the owner of this establishment I would.
After searching around looking for a florist close to my special someone’s office, I found Helen’s Flower Shop. I clicked on the link to take me to their website. It was very basic and easy to navigate around in, which is a definite plus. I went to the birthday section and saw that they had a pretty good variety ranging from all different prices. I browsed around a bit and picked one out. You can order online with them, but I wanted to call to get a personal feel with the business. Mike answered the phone, and I asked if they do same day delivery and he said yes. Perfect! I told him what I wanted to order and gave him the name and delivery location. He asked for my charge card info and said my order would be delivered later in the day.
About a minute after I hung up, I realize he hadn’t given me a total, so I called back. I told him I wanted to make sure we got the order right. I think he was nervous at first and thought I wanted to cancel or something. I told him not to worry and that I just like to note down all my transactions, so I know what charges I have on my card. While he was ringing up my total, he told me he had been doing this for 30 years, so you know this guy knows his stuff. After he told me how much everything was, I told him if he makes my recipient happy, then I would let people know that I a good dealing here.
Later that day, Mike called me right before he delivered the flowers. My friend got them and really liked them. So, I am very satisfied with my transaction and would definitely shop here again and would recommend to others.

I wanted to get some really nice and fresh peonies in a mixed arrangement for a sick friend of mine who just loves peonies. Helen’s Flower Shop came up with a beautiful spring bouquet with tulips and anemones that contrasted beautifully with the peonies. My friend just loved them. My experience with Helen’s has always been wonderful. Great service and very artistic.

These guys are the best! had been using online companies for my flower needs– forgot about the personal touch, that this well established flower shop can deliver– talk about easy– called
the owner day before, arranged for delivery on time, and a beautiful arrangement– and here is the kicker, the flowers stayed fresh for close to 2 weeks! needless to say Mother was delighted
do yourself a favor and spend your money locally and you will get more bang for your buck!

I can’t remember the last time I was so impressed by a business. I called Helen’s Flower Shop at 5:30pm to see if I could get 3 flower arrangements to be picked up by the next morning. I spoke to Mike, and he said he could do that. In fact, he could even deliver them to me! Since he was going to deliver them I didn’t need them until noon. Not only did the flower arrangements arrive at noon on the dot, but they looked amazing! They fit the occasion perfectly, despite me giving very little direction on what I wanted (I only told Mike what they were for and the price range I was looking for). The transaction was so easy and smooth, Mike was extremely pleasant, and the flowers were exactly what I was looking for. I was so busy when he delivered them that I couldn’t express my gratitude, but through this review, I hope Mike realizes how happy I was with his service and his flower arrangements. Thank you!

This review is overdue, but better late than never! The folks at Helen’s Flower Shop really came through for me when I needed a couple last minute bouquets of flowers. When I say last minute, I mean within a couple of hours of needing them at an event. Not only that, but they delivered them to me so I didn’t have to leave my event! That’s not all. I was so all over the place when ordering these that I accidentally told them the wrong address to deliver to– and they STILL delivered them to me with a smile. To top it all off, the flowers were super pretty with tons of dragon snaps and other flowers that made for a couple of lovely arrangements. Would definitely order from them again!

My husband ordered flowers for me from Helen’s to be delivered to me on Mother’s Day. It was my very first Mother’s Day celebration.
Let me start by saying that the flowers I received were beautiful but look absolutely nothing like the picture that he ordered online. My husband was very dissatisfied with Helen’s because he requested for the flowers to be delivered exactly on Mother’s Day but instead they delivered it the day before without even telling him first. We didn’t feel that it was right for them to do that. I understand that it was Mother’s Day and it was a very weekend for deliveries but they should have at least called to ask if it was okay to be delivered a day early instead of just randomly showing up.
The flowers were very small and didn’t look anything like the picture shown on their website. The vase that the flowers came in were also too big for the flowers. I placed the flowers next to a roll of paper towels to show how small they were. The quality of the flowers were nice though.
My husband and I were disappointed about the flowers but the owner was very understanding about the situation and granted him a refund.

I don’t do many reviews personally but thought I’d give a shout out to Mike and Crew for taking care of me so well.
I’m clueless as far as flowers and its arrangements/​types and such. your typical dude. I went to a few places (they had no clue regarding my clueless ness and felt awkward and out of place) before ending at Mikes.
Without over explaining my need (Aim is to attract a nice lady, my purpose for why I’m here). He was the first flower shop that came to my level and made me understand the ins and outs of what’s appropriate for what occasion specifically mine.
He came down to my level and brought my understanding of rosary a few notches up without making me feel out of place. a real calm cool cat!
Anyway we decided on a specific look we both felt was right and it turned out way better then I had imagined.
The guy is truly in tune with what he does and you can see his passion through his work.
My girl (who I’m still with and I give mike and crew partial credit for this fortune, great catch) loved the arrangement and actually goes to Mike for any occasion she might need.
I live in Walnut Creek and never felt as comfortable and at ease going in as a young man to look for something in a flower shop without feeling awkward.

I ordered a nice flower arrangement online for my daughter for her first day in a new job, but made a mistake in the online form. Mike called me to make sure we got the order straight. Then I told him I was worried about delivery because no one in the building would know my daughter yet and it might be difficult. He reassured me that he would deliver the flowers himself personally. And the arrangement was spectacular. Perfect taste in the arrangement and wonderfully friendly and helpful customer service.

These guys are great. It’s wonderful to have a go-​to florist in your life! By that I mean: I can stop in for the perfect seasonal bouquet in a pinch, order ahead for a centerpiece for a dinner party, I’ve even entrusted Mike with the flowers for a wedding that I planned. Mike and the team at Helen’s flowers will get it done, and make it gorgeous. Pricing is competitive.

I live in Georgia and after a couple of horrible experiences I was blessed to find Helen’s Flower Shop. It was really difficult to order flowers considering the distance to Oakland, Ca.; however, the professionalism and customer service of the
owner made it effortless! My flowers were delivered as promised on the same day and I would highly recommend Helen’s for all of your needs. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I ordered flowers from Helen’s for a friend’s engagement party. I called in the order and when I saw the flowers at the party I was so impressed. They had listened to exactly what I wanted and the arrangement was beautiful. Everyone kept complimenting the flowers. I will definitely be buying flowers from Helen’s again soon.
