If you want to hear or play or dance to authentic samba from the heart and soul of Rio, but don’t want to fly to Rio every week, Grupo Samba Rio is for you. I’ve been playing with this group for some months now and I love it. Whenever we play there is a dance class so for dancers it’s not just practicing to CD’s, you have a full bateria performing for you every week! There’s nothing in the world like the deep, rich, and powerful sound of Brazilian samba to restore and re-​ground you, and start the week off right. If you have a little experience it will help but beginners are welcome. A very talented and and friendly group of people welcomes you.
