This quiet reprieve from the city sounds is really growing on me. It’s well taken care of by the neighbors and you can tell. My New Years resolution is to take in more nature, even in tiny bits, and I’ve been by here twice already. I recommend it as well as Mt View Cemetery for some green space and a moment to breathe.

It’s grungy and beautiful. Nature and urban mix. Don’t go there when it’s dark. Go there when the sun is out and you can pass by beautiful red wood trees and funny taggings.

This is very small. Not a destination, but a nice place to walk through when you are visiting Piedmont Ave. Just a small cut-through, but a beautiful moment to be surrounded by trees.

A tree fell some time ago, perfectly bridging this little stream. Who could have believed that a park like this could be so quiet, wedged inbetween residential and business Piedmont Ave? There are crumbs under the tree. I’ve vanquished many an ookie day there, munching dinner and watching the water skimmers scoot back and forth. Bring your nasty days, you can exchange them for loose shoulders and peace of mind.
