Forthrite Printing

Conor printed my wedding invitations. He was honest, helpful, and straightforward throughout the process. The quality of the printing was absolutely superb. It was great to support a local business and I’d trust him again in a heartbeat.

At first my graphic designer husband and I were excited to use Forthrite for a print job of t-​shirts and tote bags for a summer camp that I run, based on the quote, overall aesthetic, and reviews. Unfortunately, the customer service is not up to par.
When we contacted Conor to pick up our items on our agreed-​upon date, he was out of town and said that he had us in his calendar for the next week; he admitted the mistake was entirely on his end. I understand that mistakes happen, but there had been clear correspondences about the due date, he already had our money, the circumstance of the due date was not flexible, and we needed our materials asap. Conor offered us a 20% discount to get the items to us 5 days late, which was too late for us. Unfortunately I had to rearrange my entire day (it was a Friday early afternoon and print shops around here are closed on the weekends and we needed the items by Sunday morning at the absolute latest) and scramble, PLUS pay someone else $ 100 to do a rush job within four hours. If you want to get a job done that you’ve paid for, I would go somewhere else where they are more organized and professional.

I had a fantastic experience with Conor and Forthrite. Highly recommend working with them. I had a poster printing project for work and was looking for high quality printing for artwork with a lot of small detail. He was able to get an amazing degree of tiny detail and every poster was perfect. The colors were brilliant and exactly matched the digital file I sent. He was also very easy to work with and made helpful suggestions along the way. Surpassed expectations.

My experience with Conor at Forthrite was incredible. The project I brought to him was not standard and the result was spectacular (screen prints on wood blocks). I appreciated his workmanship and the level of detail and care he put into each piece. He is a great collaborator and had a lot of suggestions on how to approach my project. I am looking forward to working with him again– I kind of want to silkscreen everything now!

Forthrite Printing is absolutely fantastic! I needed a silk screen printing job for a work project and I didn’t know where to go. I looked at a few places online and Forthrite was the place for me. Conor responded to my request for a quote immediately. We met in person and corresponded by email to finalize the order. His attention to detail was incredible and his work was amazing. And he was fast! We are so happy with his work and if we have future projects we’ll definitely go back to Forthrite Printing.

Conner has the chops. His experience with the technical side of printing sets him apart. He is an extremely quick designer, and has an excellent feeling for color. Professional.

Skip, skip and skip this place. Horrible quality of printing. I ordered garment labels with just two words on it and they were not even able to print it appropriately. The letters on each label were printed differently, thick and slim, smudged, out of line. And the owner, Conor.

I’ve just printed my first job with Conor, and he was amazing. Easy to communicate with, very to the point, and super professional. The shirts I had made turned out perfectly.
I’m actually excited about getting more stuff printed by him.

I was shopping around a lot for a printer until I finally settled on Conor. His prices are competitive and his service is excellent. It’s very important for me to work with someone communicative when dealing with graphic design. He is very responsive and even went the 9 yards to rush an order when he didn’t have to. Many other printers in Oakland seemed unprofessional or uninterested in my business, but Conor was there for me.

Conor is a stellar fella. When I send a job his way, I know I can trust him to both put his all into the gig and to give me a square deal. When picking up prints, he’s given me a run down of the challenges of a job and his techniques for dealing with them. You can simply tell he cares about doing good work and loves his craft, and it shows.
Lastly, I’ll just say: he can be a bit terse in e-​mails, so if you do drop him a line I recommend giving him a phone call! On the phone or in person you’ll take note of his sharp personality.

Forthrite is great! I had seen their posters around town for a long time and always admired their look. When it came time to get a nice poster done for our last album release I asked Conor at Forthrite to design and print them. He came up with multiple designs for me to choose from. The poster cam out looking fantastic and now I’ve seen them framed and hanging up in the homes of many friends and family. Everybody loved them — just wish I still had more around to give out at shows! I’ll definitely go back for future printing needs.

I’m a graphic designer and have worked on tons of projects that end up being screen printed and i must say Forthrite has been the best solution for my printing needs. Forget that joker at the bottom, he is clearly a hater, Conor totally rules and has done such an amazing job on all my projects. I refer everyone to the guy because his work is the best, and he is just good people and a pleasure to deal with so if you are looking for screen printing and you want good work at a good price this is it!

Forthrite is a fine outlet for artists and artisans looking for quality screen printed work and, perhaps, a place to hang some work (Forthrite frequently has art openings promoting local talent). The owner, Conor is a talented screen printer and a personable shop keeper to boot. This makes every visit worth it.
In short: I recommend you visit Conor and Forthrite.

I have printed several jobs with Conor at Forthrite. Simply put: HE ROCKS. The prints I have gotten from him are clean, perfectly registered, and super professional. I have a very sensitive eye for color, I am very exacting when it comes to color, and I also pick colors that are difficult to match. Conor hits it right on the button every time. (I recommend giving him a color proof to match.)
He is friendly, efficient, communicative, and delivers the work on time.
I hope he doesn’t read this review, because I don’t want him raising his prices, which are really, really reasonable for the quality he offers.
