I have to say that this place deserves my 5 starts because they took well care of me. After running around back and forth from a prestigious salon in San Francisco I was still dissatisfied with my hair cut. I paid $ 130 for a haircut that my 9 year old niece would’ve done for free… at Escandalo I paid $ 20 !!! and Sandra took her time and explained what was wrong as she fixed it:). I am a happy camper today… I strongly recommend this place. Ask for Sandra.

Worst salon i’ve ever been to! I went in to get my hair trimmed and the lady did a horrible job!!! i told her i didn’t want my hair above my shoulders and she did the exact opposite and on top of that she charged me an arn and a leg! oh and the took almost an hour and a half to do that horrible job on my head no one has ever taken that long to cut my hair before!! I was so upset i asked another girl if i could speak with the supervisor and to make things worse the lady that cut my hair WASTHESUPERVISOR!!! i told her she’d better fix my hair and that i wanted someone else to do it because i did not want her near my hair!!! so as a result my hair ended up so damn short because the lady had to even it out n ow i look like a damn boy!!! i should’ve never went there now who knows when my hair will grow back! My first experience here was over a year ago and the Owners made me feel so special I don’t mind telling you that I cannot even think about having anyone touch my hair except for Isabel or any member of her competent staff. The interior of the salon is always clean and well organized. The reception from the person behind the counter, it is usually Isabel’s husband Douglas, is always warm and friendly. The staff is bilingual and often flamboyant but never to an irritating excess, if you know what I mean.(LOL!) I’ve been going there ever since and always been satisfied and filled with joy when I leave. When Isabel is on duty you are guaranteed to be satisfied with her workmanship or she will give you the cut on the house. But it only applies to Isabel’s clients. So be sure to ask for her all the time.

A fucking zoo. Call to make an appointment and the receptionist might just forget to pencil you in because she wrote it on a post-it. When I called I could hear merengue music blasting from the speakers. Initially, I thought I had accidentally called Fidel Castro’s pad, but she muttered the name of the business and I asked for a particular hairdresser. She told me to hold on(initially thinking she would go and turn down the music) I could hear giggling and she must have of forgotten I was holding because I heard someone tell her in spanish that her phone was off the hook. There was some shady business going on. The hairdresser I had an appointment with went to the back for like 20 minutes with some guy. Yeah freaky. To top it all off, other people who just walked in were attended before I was. Some guy decided to park his bike indoors in an already crowded quaint lobby. Long story short, my appointment was at 4:30pm. Scissors didn’t meet up with my hair till 15 after 5. Nuff said.
