English Center

I tried to help a friend get some career counseling at The English Center. She was trained as a nurse in the Philippines and was working as an in home caregiver here because she can’t practice nursing in the US. Their website claims that they can offer services for people exactly in that situation. We met with someone at the English Center who said he would research career and training options for her, but he never got back to her. Another person called months later to follow up, but they were never able to schedule an appointment. I called again recently and was told that the person I needed to speak with was away but would definitely call me on Monday. A week later, I have not heard from them. I don’t know if they receive any public funding for what they do, but if so, someone should be investigating how those funds are being spent because they are not providing the services they claim to be providing.

This is a good place to be with if you’re starting to learn or even need some enhancement in English. They’re offering career and computer classes too, which will be a great help for every student.
Everyone are approachable and very welcoming, they really help the students from other country to find a new home in the U.S.

This is a phantastic place for people from all kinds of places and background to learn English, basic technology skills and basic career skills.
All the staff is really commited to helping the students learn English and deal with the adjustment that comes with living in a different country.
