Dangerous place to eat: «caution» This place is so dirty I saw a rat run pass me in the shop I’ll never go here again the man that runs the place looks like a old drunk I told him it was hair in my food and I’ll never come to this place again, and what’s worse is its across from a school

The tortas are massive(enough for two people). But the real star here is the chicken. The grilled half chicken with sides is again enough for two people, and it’s perfect. Juicy, tender, delicious meat.

It’s good. The tortas are hella big, enough for two people to enjoy. They’re $ 8.00, $ 8.75 with taxes. They don’t accept cards, so bring cash only. Anyway, the torta I got was a chicken torta and while I did enjoy it, it tasted a bit too salty. I’m guessing it was more the seasoning than anything. It’s good, just not the best. The restaurant itself is alright, and I was actually the only person there on a Sunday afternoon so one would expect lots of people but no. I do know that my torta was made fresh, knowing I was the only person there and I didn’t hear anything cooking until after I ordered. I encourage a lot of people to try them out because you definitely get your money’s worth here. There was ample parking too. Sadly, I don’t think they do delivery anymore, since I called the number and only got a creepy voice machine.

I would always pass by this place but never gave it a try. I regret not trying this place. They got a variety of Mexican dishes that are to die for. The prices are great. Very efficient. The food is made fresh daily. They even deliver«All Oakland Area». Its a hidden treasure waiting for you! Highly recommend it.

El Tortas Grill has literally risen from the ashes of «This is it Grill». no menu is up, just handwritten signs on the window. friendly people at the register. menu: burritos, tortas, hamburgers, hot dogs, bbq meats(pork, chicken, rib?), aqua fresca(jamaica, horcata, tamarind), combos, specials, fries, etc. eats: marinated pork torta(8) –very big torta, supposed to be tender, juicy marinated pork, wasn’t –meat pieces a bit dry, chewy, –onions, jalepenos, red onions, mayo didn’t add much to torta –maybe meat dried at end of the day. pricey? aqua fresca(lg. jamaica) comped –all kinds homemade –sweet, very tasty, no chemical aftertaste 4.5 stars leftovers –fresca saves the day! –friendly people, guy is passionate about his Q meat will be smoked in the smoker a few hours(to make meat tender) and then bbq’d on the grill outside. –tax is charged. –closes at 7ish. –take out only, no dining area seen.
