Specialties
We’re just your friendly neighborhood gin joint, except with an extensive list of quality booze, a nice and funky décor created by local artisans, fresh juices & syrups, bad-ass DJs and bartenders, and yummy specialty drinks.
History
Established in 2006.
Formerly the venerable Fifth Amendment, Easy Lounge was built in 2006 to embody all that is right with the Oakland experience.
Using local craftspeople and artists instead of corporate architects and large construction firms, the bar gives off an eclectic industrial-chic vibe.
Easy chooses to highlight the quality of local ingredients in its cocktail selection. Farmers Market Cocktail Hour, held on Saturdays from 2−5PM, showcases the bar’s approach, taking fresh and local fruit and vegetables, pairing them with high-quality liquor (also local when possible) to create libations that reflect the seasons.
Resident DJs spin to fit the mood every night of the week, reflecting the diversity of the area by mixing everything from rock& roll to rare-groove funk, and everything in-between. While there’s no large dance floor, a diverse and attractive crowd tends to use every available nook and cranny to get down, especially on the weekends, when a wait to get inside is not unusual.
