I shop there for church outfits for my mother. I also, find real lace dresses from China in a dress shop there. Hair products and cheap thrills abound you at this unglamorous mall. But its true Oakland. The people are helpful and I love shopping without going to a large chain. Support small businesses — the American Dream

I love Durant Square it’s one of the Original Shopping malls in Oakland, Ca they have some really cool stuff and one of a kind accessories that I absolutely love, plus everyone who works there is pleasant.

I really only come here for the Oil Shop lady and her Egyptian musk is the BEST I’ve ever smelled. It has a great shelf life, unlike more expensive egyptian musk oils, and smells sweet. I love love love the oil shop.

The prices are reasonable but the lines are too damn long. I’m in line as we speak with one item and it’s only two cashiers working. This is why I hate coming here. They need a self checkout line so people can get in and out faster!

i really like this place. i come here for the Oil Lady’s fragrances (she has so many wonderful smelling oils!!) and maybe a last minute inexpensive dress or top to wear out. i also hit the Food Max right next door for fruit and whatever else i need at the time.

If I were a pimp, I would totally shop here! You can find anything from bright green croc shoes to shiny wigs, grills for your teeth, and everything ghettolicious. I sometimes shop at Food Max and never checked out the mall until recently. There are quite a few shops with just the right things you are looking for if you’re style is gangsta, hookah, or just wanting to stand out like a sore thumb. You can find pants that will expose you butt cheeks and all the accessories. If you’re looking for a bright purple suit or any color under the sun, you will find it in this mall!
