Today, I stood in line for over 30 min (expected) to reach the first person. This place was so ghetto, the security guard acts as though he is afraid to keep people civil. People were playing loud music with an abundance of profanity very loudly. Making videos and selfies in the line with total disregard to the elders and children that were there. my wait after reciving a number was 2 hours. Unfortunately I did not have time to schedule and appointment, but the folks in the appointment line were doing just as bad as I. Anywho, I was seen by the second person who was pleasant, and directed to a manger for final approval on documents. This manager a a female caramel colored with her real hair about 5ft 5, called my name, handed me papers and turned to walk away. I had no explanation as to what she was passing me, there was no greeting. i called her to come back and speak with me, she never came back instead forced me to ask my question from afar. Her answer wasn’t specific, she begrudgingly directed me to ‘read’. The biotch looked like she had on pajama pants. How she ever got into management will be the 9^th wonder of the world right after her attitude comes in at #8. Her attitude was funky and it was barely 12:30.If you don’t like your job or your circumstances, change them. Other wise set a good example as a team leader and treat people with more courteousy and respect. We all know the dmv is not the easiest place to work but take some pride it what you do and put your best foot forward.

I forgot his name but today a worker had bad ass attitude. Rude as fuck. Reason why I HATE going to the ghettos to the DMV. He was at station 2 if it helps but whatevers.

Wear some comfortable shoes, you’ll be waiting in line forever!

When you come to this DMV location, make sure you schedule yourself an appointment on their website. Seems that everyone in Oakland and the surrounding area come to this location and the building gets jammed packed with people in line waiting.

Well even before I became grown, hanging out in Brookfield, back before the Chevron station was there. The Fedex bldg was there! There lies in the midst of it all, is your classic HOOD DMV OFFICE! Right up the street from the old welfare office, so yall know it was HOOD!
Lines EXTREMELY LONG.
Customer SERVICE, more like Mcdonalds drive thru employees.
On the verge of closing down, cause it is straight up not the place to be.
I took my driving test here, and past with the instructor asking me if I had a crook in my neck afterwards because I did not turn my head at all when merging or other shit I still don’t do. That’s why I’m a player about mine. I mean how many girls did you know how to do player ass shit like driving with no hands and her knee, or doing donuts cause boyfriend taught me too while I was running them streets. weaving in and out of traffic like she is a stunt double.
Now I only come to this office if I in an EMERGENCY!

Keith Williams, who was not a DMV employee, pleaded guilty in November to conspiracy to commit mail fraud. Last week, a co– defendant, former DMV employee Leneka Pendergrass, 29, of Oakland, was sentenced to more than two years in prison for her role in the scheme.
Pendergrass received between $ 8,000 and $ 12,000 in bribes, according to federal prosecutors. She was among five DMV employees who accepted the bribes and issued more than 200 fraudulent driver’s licenses and state identification cards from 2003 to 2005, authorities said. Prosecutors said she entered false information into DMV computers after those seeking identification paid a bribe to Williams, who served as a liaison between DMV workers and illegal immigrants.
who admitted taking payoffs to help people get driver’s licenses without passing a test has been sentenced to 18 months in prison, authorities said today.
Adrian Gomez Zepeda was one of 10 defendants to plead guilty in a scheme to provide licenses to applicants by bribing Department of Motor Vehicles employees at the agency’s office at 5300 Claremont Ave. in Oakland. Five of the defendants were DMV employees and five, including Zepeda, acted as brokers to link applicants with corrupt employees, prosecutors said.
DMV workers received as much as $ 4,500 for each document and issued more than 200 fraudulent licenses and identification cards, many of them to illegal immigrants, prosecutors said. Zepeda took between $ 500 and $ 1,000 apiece from the payments that he forwarded between August 2004 and August 2005, prosecutors said.
Zepeda pleaded guilty in December to a charge of conspiracy to commit mail fraud and was sentenced Friday by U.S. District Judge D. Lowell Jensen. He has been in state custody since July on unrelated charges of kidnapping and assault in Alameda County, lawyers in his case said. A jury deadlocked in that case, and a retrial is pending.

My insurance agency just called and apparently my license was revoked — 8 months ago!!! How in the world is it that I had no idea whatsoever this was happening?
I was in an accident that was the the other driver’s fault, but I didnt have my license with me so received a fix it ticket for not carrying my license. One week later, I had it signed off by my local friendly ocifer and took it to the courthouse. A few hours of my time wasted but that was that, all taken care of. But, apparently NOT. I guess somehow the paperwork was lost at the courthouse. AND THIS IS HOW I FOUND OUT.
So now I get to spend my Saturday in the skanky over crowded pit of anger that is the Oakland DMV. And the kicker is I can’t even drive there because it would be a major crime of some sort.
Someone just shoot me.
