History

Established in 1999.

We started out in east Oakland (7864 MacArthur blvd) then we moved the shop location to 3129 High st, Oakland, Ca. It got started by a couple friends that grew up together. Neither one could’ve imagined that the other would become a barber but they turned out to be a couple of the BEST barbers Oakland has had.

I first started cutting hair in ’89 after a good friend of mine (who used to cut my hair) decided he was going to move back to Buffalo, NY. He told me it was a way for me to make some money on the side (I was working at Safeway at that time). He also told me that it would be a cool way of keeping up w/​some of the people who I had started hanging with in high school. He stated since I had two (2) little brothers they could be my «practice dummies» then when I got good they wouldn’t mind because they were w/​me from the beginning. I cut in my garage for three (3) yrs then went to barber college. I graduated (’92) then started cutting w/​a childhood friend who was really popular at that time, working w/​him could only help me get better, which it did. My childhood friend was cutting some of the town celebrities like Too $hort & Gary Payton and a host of hood celebs. I’ve been cutting hair for 20yrs now and I feel i’m the best the Town has to offer, i’m not bragging im just confident in my work
