Custom Car Electronics was founded on the mantra that if you’re going to do something, do it right. Vehicle electronics require a unique attention to detail to insure safety and reliability. There are many good vehicle mechanics but few vehicle electrical specialists.

If you like your music setup by a professional, Jason is the guy to go see, matter fact he’ll come see you which I thought was even more convenient. I had a few ideas but after speaking with him he advised a couple things and I pretty much let him do his thing. It was only a couple 6×9 and stereo in 72 Chevy and it looks like he never touched it, and sounds awesome. Won’t be going anywhere else as far as car audio is concerned. very satisfied customer

So, so impressed with Jason and the way he handles his business. He’s knowledgeable and incredibly helpful, going way beyond the call of duty with a commitment to customer service that’s really rare in any field, let alone the car stereo business.
I called with a kind of hazy question about a custom stereo installation; Jason immediately helped me focus on exactly what I needed to know, and then gave me excellent advice on how to solve my problem. All this BEFORE we’d agreed to work together and before I’d sent him any money.

Amazing work and quality of materials! Aside from the technical expertise he brings, perhaps the best thing about CCE is that he is flexible and dependable. I needed to schedule two separate visits for a new stereo installation before a long road trip, and CCE came to me after my work day to do the work. I am 100% satisfied.
P. S. I have an early 2000s VW, and, when I had some unrelated work done at the Berkeley Auto shop, they noted how well CCE did, mentioning that it is unfortunately common for less talented individuals to disconnect the horn and/​or alarm. Apparently all the relays run together behind the audio console. Who knew?

Don’t even hesitate, Jason is a total professional and delivers a flawless service. From start to finish, it was a pleasure to deal with Custom Car Electronics. I had an install of existing kit I had into a 91 Ford Bronco. They discussed the components I had before coming and had no issues fitting and suggesting new ways to do things to fit a modern stereo into an older car that originally wasn’t designed to take it.
Whether you have an older car that needs a custom approach for or even a newer car and just want a mobile service that can come to you, these guys are a solid choice!

Jason came over and was able quickly and efficiently figure what had happened to my sound system. Shoddy wiring from the original install by some big box retailer had led to it failing. He was able to repair the poor wiring and get everything back up and running. He even tuned the sound and neatly tucked everything back together. Pro’s like this don’t come around often. I have an 850 R Volvo and it’s very special to me. Being that it’s from the 90’s the plastic trim in the car is very delicate, Jason understood this and was very carful. I chose him not for the price but for the quality of work he would do. He’s very trusting and confident in the work that he performs. For me I wanted to keep the factory deck he made happen and did research to find the best quality adaptor for my car. I’m extremely happy with what he did he’s a great guy and his customer service is spectacular.

Jason was awesome, communication was great. He understood my issue and did recommend me a set up that would work with-​in my budget. He was happy to work with stuff that I already purchased and scheduled an earliest available appointment. He was through in his install and did a fine job routing the wires and fixing my broken –in dash, even though the truck was old (92 pathfinder). The product that he recommended works awesome and has excellent range and perfectly fits my need. Would gladly recommend him to anyone who needs an alarm/​GPS/​audio system installed on their vehicle. Need to contact him again to install similar stuff in my other vehicles.

I wanted an alarm installed on my car and found Jason on Craigslist. After reading his reviews on Unilocal I decided to contact him. He was very knowledgeable and came to my house a couple of days later to do the job. Everything came out great with out issue and for him coming to my house on my time for the install, the price was fair. I would definitely recommend him.

Jason is great. I have an old Toyota Land Cruiser that I decided to keep and he did two projects for me.
First he installed a decent stereo system. He gave me great advice as to what to get, and did a great job getting it installed in a timely fashion and at a reasonable rate. He advised me against buying new speakers (even though it would have obviously been more money in his pocket) telling me I should just see how the current speakers worked with the new system and decide on upgrading if I wasn’t happy with the sound. Great advice and very customer focused.
Second — he installed a 12V power socket in the back seat so my kids can charge their phones easily while sitting back there. Again — bang up job at a great rate. I did have one problem — one of the connectors on my heater controls worked loose in the process of the installation. I called him a week later to explain the problem. He was there to take care of the problem, no questions asked. Personally — I think that’s the best part of the review. Things don’t always go right the first time. You want someone who’s going to take care of you when that happens.
Overall — a great experience. I highly recommend him.

Jason did an amazing job on custom sound system in my ’66 Chevelle. My car is in mint condition and I have very high quality bar, both in terms of looks and sound. He put in stock appearing head unit from RetroSound, speakers in kick panels, speakers in dash and the back behind discrete grills (all in the color of the interior) + subs under the seat. You can hardly tell that the car has an upgraded system, until I turn up the volume, it sounds much better than most new cars. And during the process he took very good care not to damage the car, taping door frames and covering seats etc. He really takes pride in good craftsmanship and just like me he is perfectionist. Highly recommended!

I recently decided to upgrade the sound system in my Judge, but wanted to retain the original deck so as to not alter the look. Unsure of how to go about doing this, I mentioned my plan to a friend who recommended Jason for the job. I made the call and was immediately impressed with his professional demeanor on the telephone. We arranged an appointment, which led to him helping me choose components and formulating a plan as to how to implement such a «secret system» in my automobile.
Two days later, the entire system was complete, and I am now able to listen to CDs and bluetooth audio in my ride, while the original stock deck is still in place. I don’t know how he did it, but Jason hooked it up! I would not hesitate to recommend Jason to anyone for car stereo needs no matter how complex or unique.

Recently got a mobile detail which resulted in a very damp interior. Unfortunately my speakers were also seemingly damaged. I left Jason a voicemail in the morning and heard back within a couple of hours even though he wasn’t technically working that day. He came right over to where I was parked and took a look at my speakers. He was very polite and helpful even though my speakers ended up fixing themselves. Still his level of service and willingness to fit me into his schedule made an impression and I will definitely seek him out for future car electronic needs.
