I highly recommend Custom Auto they have worked on all my cars from installing a new radio in my Porsche, to tinting the windows on my lexus. I just bought a brand new 2015 CLA 250 and plan on bringing it to Sprage this coming week to get the windows tinted. Quality work and great prices.

I called upon Steve and Ivy at Custom Auto, to do work on two of my vehicles in the past six months. First, I had a new alarm system, and electric door locks installed in my ’98 Toyota Tacoma. Now, last week, I had installed in my wife’s ’85 Nissan 300ZX, a Pioneer stereo system that included AM & FM radio, CD player, four speakers and a replacement for the automatically telescoping antenna. The work took all day and the Technician Sprague, worked his collective butt off to get it out by 5:00pm. We are thrilled with the workmanship and skills of Sprague, and the professionalism of Steve and Ivy. I recommend Custom Auto and will seek out Steve and his company for any further work I want done. Maybe a CD is in the future of my Tacoma. If so, I will certainly take it to Custom Auto.

Steve is great owner I got security alarm and my other car did tint job it’s beautifully done. Also put back up camera I believe they are way reasonable price than other shop and owner is very personable kind heart. And he give good coverage for job his shop done. I don’t know why he get small reviews? I am happy with this shop and highly recommended !!!

Had some light installed, then had a problem with them. (when it rain water got in the light) The owner said to bring it in and he would charge $ 30 for labor since it shouldn’t take longer then half an hour. Then we get there and he wanted to charge $ 95.00.
THAT’S TRIPLE THE PRICE!
I walked out!

I did many jobs here but the last time I was here I had left some headphones in my car, later I couldn’t find them. I show up 2 days later asking Steve about my headphones and that they were missing (I know where I put my things and this was where the last time I recalled them being. He said he couldn’t help me.
A month or so later I show up again asking about another job when a different man other than Steve was there, I told him about the same situation and he was telling me about an employee that had decided to stop showing up to work after another customer had complained about a missing item, the management told the former employee that «they were going to check the cameras» (which don’t record, they are just real time) and the employee stopped showing up. I know a gut feeling when I feel it, and I knew that man stole my 100 dollar headphones, know why? Because he told me how much they paid him when he used to work there (horrible wage, idk how someone can survive on 45 dollars a day, as he stated to me) and he also BARTS to work, I knew then getting a hold of some quality new headphones would make his day.
Lesson of the day, pay your employees properly and maybe they won’t steal from their loyal customers, and oh yeah don’t be cheap and get cameras that don’t record…

My car window was bashed out last Tuesday. On Saturday morning I discovered my driver rear wheel and tire were stolen and the front driver wheel lug nuts were off and the wheel only partially on… ready to be stolen! While this car is at the dealer for repairs, I went to Custom Auto for an alarm system for my truck. The staff was very attentive, knowledgeable and professional. They installed a great alarm system in the truck for a couple hundred dollars, very reasonable! It took only a couple of hours and during the installation I had a nice lunch at the Japanese restaurant next door. The staff at Custom Auto really knows their stuff! They gave me pointers on theft deterrent actions. They answered all my questions, of which there were many. They were very patient and professional. They educated me on my new alarm system. I got locks for my wheels. When my car is out of the shop after the repairs I will return to Custom Auto for an alarm system for the car. Thank you Steve and your staff at Custom Auto. I highly recommend this business and look forward to doing business with you again in the future!!! :)) BTW… I went to them because of the negative review from a previous post who was quoted a fee of $ 50.00 for diagnosing a problem with an alarm system that wasn’t purchased from them. Custom Auto staff found the problem in a matter of minutes. That’s the kind of service I wanted. People who knew what they were doing! And they do!

I read a review about the staff being greedy and them not being busy, I went there got a couple of gadgets installed right away in my crown vic something blew out not there fault and they even re installed the item free of charge for me can’t go wrong with that. The item was not even purchased from them and they still re insatlled the new item. overall you get what you pay for I think this is a good shop and will contiune to do buiness with them.

The owner is a crook, this place is garbage! I hardly write reviews on Unilocal,but I’m sorry, I have to do it. My typical alarm install guy is out of town, So I go into this place and talk to one of the owners, Steve. I tell him that my car remote doesn’t work anymore and Steve tells me to bring the car around back for him to have a look. I took the panels off the car myself and showed him the alarm brain. He looks at it for a minute and tells me it could be a list of things wrong, i. e some wire, the fuses, or worst comes worst the brain of the unit. So he tells me its gonna be about 30 minutes of trouble shooting and that he will charge $ 50. An alarm does have a gang of wires, so I said to myself sure, sounds like a good amount of work, so I give Steve the green light. Literally 2 minutes after I agree, he states that the antenna was unplugged from the brain and that’s why the remote wasn’t transmitting. I was standing right there the entire time, so I said «damn, Im glad it wasn’t a big issue, that was easy. So how much do you want?» Steve replies back with $ 50. I stood there thinking he was kidding since he spent all of 5 minutes total on my car, I laughed and said, «No really how much you want?» His reply, «No, really, $ 50» I started arguing with the guy, he clearly said it would be about 30 minutes of work and he would charge $ 50, I asked him to cut the charge in half since it ended up being almost nothing of his time. He went on stating that the $ 50 quote was for «UP TO» 30 min of labor and that he had overhead costs to pay for, rent, electricity and so on. I still argued the fact that he spend less than 5 min on the car, and most likely already knew what was wrong since he looked at the brain prior. Steve then states word for word «If i was a dishonest guy, I would have said the brain was broken, and charge you $ 250 for a new alarm. Or I could have told you to wait up front for 30 minutes and then bring you back and say everything was fixed. So you should feel good that now your alarm works.» I was dumbfounded, thinking to myself what I just witnessed was the definition of a dishonest shop owner. Any respectable shop, would have said ya it wasnt really anything, throw me $ 20 or maybe even less. No wonder this place looks like its closed all the time and they have almost zero business, the business that they do get are definitely not returning customers. Its a shame…
On the other hand, a worker there named Jamie is nice and good to deal with, but his hands were tied since Steve is the owner

just called this place to ask for an estimate on getting a bunch of equipment in my car, head unit, amp. speakers back up camera and gps. some asian girl answered the phone and sounded really bothered that i called and really put me off this place. not the way to run a business, if someone is going to spend money at your place at least try to be helpful when someone calls. i just wanted to get a rough estimate and she was not helpful. guess ill take my money somewhere else no big deal
