After reading the other two reviews, I wonder if it’s the same person… no, I wonder Why I was treated so shabbily by this «Hero»
Pete Clancy is a very poor attorney, that is, poor for some clients. In 2013 I was in a bad bike accident in Berkeley. No witnesses, unfortunately. The driver pulled into the intersection to turn, never looked in my direction. I had stopped, then gone ahead, and was halfway through the intersection. I slammed into his car, and flew over the hood landing face down on the street. Bike broken. I was very badly hurt. (two trips to E.R. as injuries developed) Driver was totally at fault. Even without witnesses, I was sure I had a good case. Pete Clancy was recommended by someone at the bicycle legal site, (sorry, forgot the name) I saw him, told him everything, and got encouraged. My mistake. P. Clancy never communicated with me, I had no idea what was going on, he never took a statement from me, pawned me off on his wife, who had no knowledge of the case, and 18 MONTHS later he dropped me as a client, with no warning and no explanation. The driver’s insurance co. ruled I was totally at fault. A total lie. That was that. For them.
I am 72 years old. I am a fabric artist. I make hand-​stitched traditional fabric art. I USED to.
I now have Osteoarthrisis in both hands,(caused by slamming down in the street on my hands)(validated by my Rhuematologist) So I can no longer create my art. I lost not only income, but quality of life. I have severe FMS, and rode a bike because it was much less painful than walking. I do not own a car. My level of pain is much more severe since the accident. None of this was addressed by Pete Clancy. This driver seriously wrecked my life, yet this attorney did NOTHING for me, so the driver simply forgot about it.
There is something wrong with this picture.

Pete worked on my case which involved a serious pedestrian-​vehicle accident where I was the injured pedestrian. Pete is very knowledgeable and always promptly addressed my questions, concerns, and upset complaints with very clear explanations and with empathy. He was upfront with his fees from the beginning, which were reasonable and proved to be well spent, as I am very satisfied with the resolution of my case. Pete also resolved my case within a very reasonable time frame. As an added bonus, Pete is a very personable and likeable attorney to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

Pete Clancy will always be our HERO. I hired Pete in 2012 after my son was killed while jogging. I wanted justice for my son and Pete was there to help me. I trusted Pete from day one and he came through with a win which meant the driver was held accountable for NEGLIGENCE! Pete was always honest and upfront me with through the whole ordeal. He was always kind and compassionate since I was a basket case through most of the process. Pete was my rock and got me through each step I was required to take. You will never find a better attorney and now friend!
