30 years of working with computers, applications and networks and 4 years running the service business.

In January the name changed to Bztek Solutions but the people, service and customers are the still the same.

My Motorola modem/​router had become very unstable. Erick Martinez came to my home and got my wi-​fi up and running again. Erick called ahead to tell me what time to expect his arrival. He worked hard the whole time and knew what he was doing. While I hate to give Comcast my business, Erick said if the modem becomes unstable again, I should just rent from Comcast. Probably will. I talked to Mike on the phone and told him that I had an old computer that was slow and having memory problems, but that I wanted to try to fix it up before adding more trash into the world, Every time I talk to someone about tech stuff they always say, «It’s cheaper to just buy a new one». Traber came to my house and cleaned up my computer and doubled my memory for a super reasonable price. Then they got back to me with quotes for a new motherboard etc, and I actually did end up getting a new computer, which Traber installed, transferred my photos and music and beefed up with all the programs I wanted. They took everything away for recycling. They are such pleasant, competent folks. I have slight tech-​anxiety when it comes to setting stuff up. I can handle the blu-​ray player and printer, but it was worth double what I paid to have them take care of making me totally computer ready.

I am so, so grateful for Mike Serleth of FastTeks, Oakland. He has bailed me out a number of times, coming to my home as well as office to fix any and all computer problems I have had. Being a not terribly technological person, I depend on Mike like some people depend on their doctors. He always has come through – whether it’s methodically cleansing my computer of a virus (like today), setting up systems, or anything else. In addition to being great at diagnostics and repair, he is also a very decent human being. Once I had a computer that was so infected, Mike took it away, replaced it with another one from his own reservoir, transferred all my documents and data, came over and installed it – and only charged me for his basic labor, not parts or even the time he spent in transferring my data and files. I think of him as my «computer messiah,» and I would recommend him to anyone. (Did I mention he comes onsite?)

Thank you, Mike, for saving us yesterday! Yesterday, our computer was taken over by some crazy malware and we felt really helpless. We called Staples who told us it would cost $ 200. or more AND we had to leave our computer with them for 2 days!
Our next call was to Mike Serleth of Fast-​Teks Computer Services who answered on the first ring. I dropped off my laptop at his office at 10:30. He delivered it back to me less than 2 hours later! Not only had he removed the virus, but had upgraded our Internet Explorer and fixed other glitches and all this for $ 80.
No need to waste your time and money with other Computer services, Mike Serleth is officially our Tech Hero! Bless your heart, Mike.

Mike Serleth is awesome! He’s personable, knowledgeable and he took the time and had the patience to answer my numerous questions.
We had a purchased a new computer which Mike and one of his IT staff came in to set up. In the past I have done this myself but it’s taken days to do: transfer files, set up email, re-​establish bookmarks, download software etc. This time I hired Mike to do it and it was painless.
Thanks Fast-​teks for setting up our computer system with ease and grace. Being that I am a solopreneur and work with clients over Skype, I rely heavily on it and am glad I have a company I can trust to help me keep it fully functioning.

I am so impressed with Mike Serleth and his crew of computer technicians – they are super reliable and give great customer service. They are on time, personable and good communicators.
When one of the Fast-​tek employees came out to help me transfer data to my new laptop and get things up and running, it was done effeciently and professionally.
This past week my best friend – who is NOT a techie person – needed to buy a new computer system. I had no hesitation in recommending Fast-​teks to him. My friend was totally pleased with Mike’s thorough and patient help. My friend spent less money than he did the last time he bought a computer, and everything went more smoothly. YAY Fast-​teks!

Mike Serleth is the owner of Fast-​teks. I highly recommend Mike to help you deal with any computer problems you might have, He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of computers, responds promptly to calls for assistance, and prices his services quite reasonably.
When my old, clunky computer broke down and I needed help finding a good replacement, Mike provided me with a list of possibilities, then guided me to a colleague at Best Buy, who helped me select an excellent, reasonably priced laptop computer and printer. Then Mike did an expert job of setting up my computer and printer to go with the wireless network in my house. He patiently answered all my questions and explained everything to me.
Twice, he has removed troublesome viruses from my computer, doing so quickly but with great thorougness and attention to detail. Each time the price was reasonable. I’ve dealt with other computer technicians, and Mike is by far the best.

Our new computers need to be installed correctly with a secure wireless system, dual monitors, etc. Mike and Jeff not only arrived on time, but in one hour everything was humming along perfectly. Fast-​teks made it soooo easy for us. No questions we could not answer, we got excellent care and so did the computers. I am recommending them to everyone; businesses, associates, friends, neighbors, and maybe even family!

I called Fast-​teks after i got 4 nasty viruses… at once… on my laptop! The first guy they sent out i was not impressed with… and brought more stress than comfort to the situation. HOWEVER, …and this is a BIG however… Mike called me the next week. I was ready to go somewhere else or even try to fix it myself. Mike was apologetic, explained the reason why what happened, happened, with the other guy, and after a chat I decided I’d let Mike give it a try.
He was extremely understanding, professional, and nice. He proceeded to come pick up my computer from my home, and return it to me the next day, COMPLETELY fixed! Not only did he fix all that was wrong from the virus (files hidden, weird messages popping up, etc), but for my earlier trouble he also upgraded several programs, showed me how to ‘unhide’ other files just in case, and created another ‘user’ profile for my brother who uses my computer sometimes to surf the net… for the same price that was quoted to me to remove the virus.
I was so impressed with this service and honestly, I’ve never been more turned around by incredible service, ever. I will definitely use Fast teks again for whatever else I need to fix on my computer, and recommend them to anyone.

Mike Serleth with Fast-​teks came to the rescue of a client I had. She had 2 computers that were malfunctioning and Mike and his assistant were able to easily troubleshoot them and get them working again. I was impressed and he gave me a discount on the overall price. Mike is so trustworthy and honest. It’s like when you find a good mechanic, you go there for life. That’s how I feel about Fast-​teks. The BEST!

Mike from Fast-​teks came to our home last Tuesday night to help speed up my computer. He was very patient, as I initially was considering having him install more memory and a larger hard drive. Then I thought I would get a new computer, and he offered to help with that. Then I changed my mind again, and he said he would try to clean up my hard drive and charge me for only an hour of time, rather than me having to purchase a new drive and more memory.
Well, he did just that. Saved me a couple hundred bucks. He diligently examined the hard drive and found several apps were running simultaneously; that was slowing things down. He also looked at the registry and explained to me what that does. He did other processes and showed me a couple of things I could do on my own to further clean things up.
So, after I did that and restarted the computer, it is running much faster.
Mike was very professional, and he even took a look at my wife’s computer and offered some suggestions.
