History

Established in 1919.

The Allen Temple Hi-​Rise Tutorial Program provides tutorial and educational services for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade all year long! All subjects are covered. The school year program runs Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. The summer program runs Monday through Friday starting at 10am each day.

I know I shouldn’t review places I’m working, but I’m actually volunteering, so that’s not really «working», now is it?
Ms. Sylvia and Ms. Bennie run this tutoring center, an outreach connected to the Allen Temple Baptist Church. They are really good, positive and credentialed people worth their weight in salt and any parent within the sight of my words should feel obliged to send their child here for after-​school tutoring.
Smart, funny, and compassionate, they make for great mentors.
I’ve enjoyed my time here, even when we don’t have any students.
