History

Established in 2008.

We’re passionate about data security because we’ve suffered the consequences of poor data storage more than once. In 1989 one of the founders lost a house in the Loma Prieta earthquake. In 1995 the other lost everything in a fire. While insurance covered the material losses, there was no returning that which was physically gone — the backup floppy disks, cds, and other tapes — because they were onsite when disaster struck.
