I’m so thankful to have found Aimee, and I’m so sad that I had to leave her when I moved to the east coast. Aimee really took the time to listen, and she asked the kinds of questions that I often forget to ask myself, like checking in with my body and my moods. She also figured out my digestion thing that I figured was something I just had to live with. What?! If you’re looking for a great acupuncturist and herbalist, do yourself a favor and spend an hour each week with Aimee.

I was given the gift of Aimee last year through a friend of mine who highly recommended her for acupuncture and women’s health. I was deeply suffering from severe PMS and PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder). I started feeling symptoms in my mid-​20s and they steadily worsened the older I got. I was in pretty bad shape prior to meeting Aimee. I started Acupuncture treatments with her once a week and took her Magic Tea consistently for a few months. Gradually through time and patience my symptoms disappeared. Her loving sessions and touch made me so relaxed. I love her :)

I highly recommend partnering with Aimee to manage your sleep. Feeling very frantic, I saw Aimee specifically to get some rest. She has the most gentle touch and calming presence. My treatment worked so well I slept like a log that night. And I expect many more nights as we continue treatment and I take the supplement she recommended. If you are new to accupuncture, Aimee is a terrific fit for you.

I love Aimee! She is very kind, sweet, knowledgeable, and gentle. I saw her through the last few months of my pregnancy and she even came to my home to do a session. I really wanted help relaxing my body to prepare for labor and within hours of her doing my home session I was in natural rhythmic labor. She helped me tremendously and I credit her work for helping me have an enjoyable virtually pain free relaxing home birth. My body was open and ready thanks to her acupuncture and the chiropractor sessions I had each week with Aimee’s colleague. I highly recommend Aimee to anyone and everyone!

I highly recommend seeing Aimee for prenatal and postnatal acupuncture. She helped me when I was anxious & ready for my first baby to arrive. After my due date had passed I wanted to get things going naturally as we had been planning a homebirth with our midwives and I didn’t want to end up in the hospital. I went and saw Aimee for two sessions that week and the following night my labor started. Aimee had stimulated labor points on my body preparing me for the experience and allowing me to practice my breathing and relaxation techniques before the big day arrived. In my treatment sessions Aimee had made sure I was comfortable with pillows and lots of support which is difficult to achieve while so pregnant! I didn’t end up needing the herbs or castor oil my midwife had recommended and I successfully birthed my baby at home.
The first session we had after my daughter was born I was nervous to bring a newborn with me. Aimee helped me get comfortable with my baby in my arms and I felt so relaxed that my little one slept through the treatment. Aimee was able to activate the healing process and my most sensitive areas felt so much less sensitive after that session.
To sum it up, Aimee is very accommodating, she is a great listener and is gentle with the needles. We see her at Bloom Retreat which is in Walnut Creek across the street from Kaiser. As a breastfeeding first time mom I look forward to seeing Aimee to support me into further postpartum healing and overall health & wellness in this new, challenging yet rewarding chapter in my life.

I came to Aimee in a pretty bad shape. I was taking care of a little boy and just had a baby, got tons of responsibilities and barely any help. During pregnancy, I wasn’t able to modify my activities to get more rest or exercise, and I got little pregnancy care. These all apparently had taken toll on me.
I went to Aimee’s office with a lot more symptoms than the available space on her form, and there I met someone who patiently and empathetically listened to all that I had to say. Her room is very nice and relaxing. I came weekly for about 3 months so far, the goal among others was to build my energy which was very weak. Leaving the first treatment, I felt fresh and energized. After 3 – 4 treatments, some of my symptoms had gone and my moods were a lot better.
Aimee never rushes anything, is thorough in acquiring information, for her to decide the best route for my treatment. When you go to Aimee, you will get somebody sympathetic to help you with your health issues, as well as listen to you, which to me is as healing as the needle treatment she provides.

Aimee is awesome. I’ve only been seeing her for about 2 months, but she is phenomenal. I’ve seen a few other acupuncturists in the past, and she is by far the most talented. I recommend her to anyone looking for a skilled, chill, caring practitioner.

I’ve been seeing Aimee regularly for about a year and a half. I went to her to help me with stress and anxiety I was dealing with at work and she has been amazing. She is incredibly warm and intuitive and within a few weeks I was feeling a lot better. I have continued seeing her to manage my stress and things have continued to be great. She has a wonderful way about her and her space is very relaxing. On a side note, she cured some foot fungus that I had been battling unsuccessfully for a year which was awesome. I highly recommend her if you’re thinking about trying to address a health issue with acupuncture. You won’t be disappointed!

I have never had acupuncture before and was bit nervous for my first appointment. (You know, needles and all.) Aimee was so professional, and thorough. She asked pointed questions, and made it very easy to open up to her about my health and lifestyle, and things that I was having issues with. I immediately noticed Aimee’s calm presence and really happy disposition — she clearly loves what she does and is very knowledgable. She made me feel completely at ease in no time.
Aimee was also very open about how the needles might feel, and if I did happen to experience any discomfort (which was so minimal, little pricks here and there) she asked me to explain the sensations and if I was OK.
I have been able to see Aimee weekly for the past month, and I look forward to each visit. Her treatments have helped me feel more energetic, and helped with other issues I have had. Such a major change for me! I will be really sad to leave her when I move to the east coast. I highly recommend her. Her bedside manner and overall attitude is totally warm and unique.

I do not know how I would have gotten through my pregnancy without Aimee! I had sciatica but had to be on my feet all day for work, and weekly appointments with her eased the pain and numbness and made me functional. At the end of the pregnancy, I kept having starts and stops to labor because the baby was in a posterior position. I went in to see Aimee and she gave me a treatment designed to get labor going for real. She told me that if it did not work, I could come in for a free session the next day. However, that was completely unnecessary, as I was having intense contractions by the time I had walked to my car. My water broke 8 hours later. I can not recommend Aimee highly enough! She is knowledgeable and understanding, listens well and gives practical advice, and has a calm demeanor that is welcoming and relaxing. I would visit her again with any temporary or chronic condition that came up.

Aimee is great! I was having problems managing my diet and as a result was suffering from digestive problems. Aimee not only treated me but has also followed the treatment up with continued support and information regarding diet plans and tools for regaining my digestive health. Aimee is well informed and is always ready to answer any questions I have regarding my pursuit of Wellness, not to mention my condition has improved dramatically.

I began acupuncture treatments with Aimee in September after she was recommended to me by a couple of friends. I went to see Aimee after my wife and I experienced a traumatic event in our lives. I was feeling like I had a post traumatic stress disorder from the experience and was in need of some major stress relief. In just one session Aimee was not only able to completely dissolve ALL of the stress and anxiety I was feeling, she also worked her magic to help rebuild my energy level to what it had been before the event. I left feeling an overwhelming sense of equanimity, balance, and lightness. Aimee is a truly gifted acupuncturist and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

I’m fairly new to acupuncture and have been treated by one (much more expensive) practitioner about 6 times, with mixed results. I decided to try Ms. Ruiz based on a friend’s recommendation. She took a genuine interest in what was bothering me and was patient with all my questions (like I said, I’m new to acupuncture). I never felt rushed or intimidated.
The room is pleasant and private, upstairs in a building that also houses a chiropractor and a few other wellness-​type businesses.
I’ve now had two sessions with Aimee. During the first treatment I felt a dramatic improvement in my mood and energy. The effects of the second treatment were more subtle but also left me feeling better. In the past I’ve paid twice as much for an acupuncture session and received much less noticeable benefit.
I’d recommend Aimee especially if you’re looking for affordable acupuncture but want closer attention and more personalized treatment than you typically get in community clinics.
