This is the only place to recycle your metals and get some good money out of it. I’ve been coming here for the past 15 years, and it can’t be beaten at price or speed of service.

Best experience I’ve ever had at a metal recycling facility (selling copper and aluminum). Can’t speak to the bottle/​can experience but if it’s half as easy as selling building wire, this is the place to go.

I always go to aarons metal because they pay well and are the FASTEST. I bring in copper wire 3 times a year in macro bin used to haul wine grapes. There is approx 800 lbs in each bin and aarons metals has forklift that is not only equiped with adjustable hyrdaulic fork spreaders, they also have a rotator on them. With ease, the forklift adjusted the forks to fit my abnormal size container and then «spilled» the copper wire into one of their wheeled carts ready for the scale.

This was a great place to recycle! Their employees were helpful, courteous and fast. They paid high prices. You will have to wait three days to get cash or they will mail a check to you. I was OK with that, they mailed a check right out to us. Could be that way they don’t have large cash on hand in Oakland, that is smart. Thanks Paul for making it a pleasure to do business with Aaron Metals.

They don’t take a lot of metals, there are other recycle centers that take those other metals. If all you have is clean metal or aluminum cans I guess they are ok. I choose to use other centers that take it all. Saves me time and money.

Aaron Metals is absolutely the best place in the Bay Area, if you are looking to get rid of any type of scrap metal. They pay top prices guaranteed, trust me I have shopped around at many different places. I have personally dealt with them since I started scrapping, years ago. Everyone is very professional, courteous, helpful, and honest. Keep in mind that they would not be in business and thriving, if they were in any way rude or dishonest. Regardless of race, age, gender, or anything else imaginable, they treat everyone with the same degree of respect. Some people get bent out of shape if they don’t get paid immediately that day. Understand that they are following California law, and can’t release immediate payment until the products you bring in are vouched for. There are many thieves out there that break into our construction sites and vacant buildings. They steal all of the copper piping, electrical wiring, and any other metals that are worth money. It is for this reason California passed the 3 day waiting period law. I personally think it’s great, it offers up a chance to catch the people responsible and makes some think twice before breaking laws. So think of it as an insurance policy for the honest. One other thing I want to clear up. When you bring metals in to sell, your metals are separated and put into large steel rolling carts or wheel barrows. Now all of these containers they put your metals into have been previously weighed, and they weight of them often clearly marked on the side of the container. Some of these carts weigh hundreds of pounds. When your materials are weighed along with the container, they have to deduct the weight of each container your metals are in. They obviously can’t pay you for the total weight, cart included. All of these carts and other containers were weighed and marked when they were brand new. You actually gain weight from all of the dirt and other debris left in the carts from previous people. I challenge anyone to weigh your materials before you bring them in, I will eat my words if they are in any way dishonest. So for someone to say they are getting ripped off is completely absurd. I know it may be confusing to some people, but it makes complete sense. Remember that shady business practices put people out of business. Aaron Metals would not exist if they operated like that.

Aron Metal is the only place I bring my recycle to. Why? They are the best in the recycle business. The staff are so helpful and fast. I don’t have to do none when I get there. Just wait for my CASH and leave. I have been going there for the past 5yrs all the way from Stockton.

There are better places with better prices per weight that u don’t get talked about negatively in Spanish as though u do not understand.

I came here a few months ago and they told me I had to wait 3 days which is fine but he said the next time I come back I wouldn’t have to wait anymore so today I came back and they said I still had to wait for 3 days even though I could have gone down the street from my house and got it today on Davis Street the guy in charge of giving you your money can pick and choose who he wants to give it to my suggestion is never to come here again and go to Davis Street at least he’ll pay you that day. Even though he responded to this review suggesting that I was still wrong and it was the law to wait 3 days even though he said if I could legitamentally show proof that it was my stuff that he would pay me that day

I have tried THEM ALL! I have to say that AARON METALS is best. Aaron always has a smile on his face. I don’t mind driving over the bridge and through a construction zone on the 880 because I know I will always be welcomed by the friendly and professional staff. If you recycle metal, you have to check them out. I guarantee you, you’ll be glad you did.

Five stars across the board. I have used most of the metal companies in the bay and hands down Aaron Metals is the best. The facility is clean, the staff is very friendly, the owners are always making sure the customer comes first and the best highest dollar is paid out. Being a regular corporate account includes having a variety of special needs– the pickup location and type of metals changes ticket by ticket. We always know that the highest amount will be paid without asking. Special Items — make sure you identify what you have and they will test it right there insure both parties get the highest payout. The integrity of Aarons Metal is above board — we have pre-​weighed hundreds of lbs of items only to find their numbers were exactly or just higher than our anticipated payout. We also have tested other facilities only to find their bin or tare weights are way off — so the scale is correct but the bin the items being weighed in are incorrect giving an advantage to the metal company. If you want to receive service quality and a clean place to go take a minute to go over *not just call on the phone* to Aarons — hopefully you will be as impressed as me.
If you are new to the metal scrapping ask some questions — ask to speak to a manager so they can explain how you can get the highest value out of the metal.

I had a tough time finding a recycler or metals dealer who would both accept the year’s supply of empty aluminum cat food tins and reimburse me in some way for the metal value. Aarons Metals was the only one of the many I contacted who filled the bill.
It was an experiment, saving Casey Cat’s alulminum cat food tins for a year and then actually involving myself in the process of returning the metal to reuse. Aaron’s was efficient, and all the employees, without exception, were cheerful, efficient and helpful. If you need to recycle metals I recommend them wholeheartedly.

I’d give them 5 stars if they would provide containers and let me sort my metal in them. The guys with the wheelbarrows always take my red brass/​bronze and throw it with the brass which pays less. Ask for Paul if you can’t get them to let you separate the red brass. He’ll take care of you. Aaron Metals usually pays more than Sims in SF.

Aaron Metals recycling center in Oakland has always been spacious, organized, & clean for its environment with a helpful & friendly staff!
WHERE: Off 105^th, btw San Leandro Blvd & Edes Ave; right next to some railroad tracks, but not the ones along BART. Not too hard miss, but you should browse your navigation instructions before you attempt to drive out. My sis tried to «wing it» on her 1^st trip, but realized she had to have missed the turn somewhere… she figured it out tho ^_​^
CENTER & SERVICE: Pull your vehicle inside & find parking on the left side closest to the booth. Grab your bag of cans, have your CA ID ready, bags get unloaded & weighed, give ur ID to staff employee at booth, get receipt, then walk over a few meters to office, next available window, turn your receipt in for cash, & you’re done. Friendly staff from the moment you drive in to direct traffic, to the time you get your cash. Keep up the great work team!
