A Revelation in Fit

I was going to nordstroms but found revelation on Unilocal.Excellent service, educational experience and amazing selection. This is a must if you want to look and feel like u are a great «fit» for your body type. Purchases are an «investment”-but well worth it! I am really pleased with my knew line of supportive, beautiful, bras. Haley made sure I understood my fit and try style to learn what made me comfortable with «me” — look out jessica rabbit! :)

This place was excellent, though I wish they had more selections from the catalogs they stock in the wait area. I was much more intrigued by those ensembles then what they had on the floor, though I did purchase 3 sets that I absolutely adored! The fitting lady was very courteous, patient, personable, and extremely helpful!

Thank you staff at Revelation for the most amazing bra shopping experience I have ever had! I am a woman of short stature and ample bosom. Hailey welcomed me in and measured me, and used a few ‘diagnostic bras’ to narrow down my size and fit. I usually wear a 34C/​D in department store bras. Today I learned that I am actually a 32G, go figure!

This place is the bomb. The service is amazing and you will leave with a changed attitude about bra shopping. I recommend making an appointment — but it’s not necessary. I went in on a Saturday evening without an appointment and had to wait a little bit of time to be seen. Michelle took amazing care of me — she sized me, gave me one bra to try on to benchmark fit, comfort, style preferences and then she was off to gather a plethora of bras for me to try! With each bra she helped adjust straps to the ideal length and examined fit to ensure it was perfect. I learned there are three factors in the bra fit! It’s not enough to just be wearing the right cup size. I left with my bras for the year.
The cost of the bras is on par with Macy’s and it’s MUCH better in every imaginable way.

I just Love this place, what a great and sexy selection of bras that fit ALL sizes! They make sure the bras fit! I can’t tell you how many women out there are wearing the wrong size!

I cannot tell you how pretty I felt walking out wearing my new matching bra & knickers set yesterday (with 3 more bras in the bag!). The women at this shop do an amazing job measuring, finding options, and then adjusting what shapes and sizes actually work on each person.
Several of us went in this weekend, and we each must have tried on from a dozen to 20 bras (at least!). Everyone at the store was helpful and cheerful, despite our raucous group that might have driven them a bit up the wall. Everyone found at least 1 – 2 bras that fit well and made us feel beautiful. So much so that we left wearing a new purchase :)
I will definitely be back. It’s well worth the money to feel this good — and I’ll say that it actually ended up being less than I thought (a crappy US mass market bra is still often $ 30, remember). The woman I worked with even searched the sale rack to find me a couple of great ones — that’s some dedicated service.

My only thing is I wish I was being educated on what I was buying. I did ask a few questions. I also wasn’t told my size when I asked to be measured. I had to look on what I was given. Next time I go in, I’ll be sure to ask and speak up.
The ladies bring you SEVERAL different bras to try on. I maybe tried on 15 – 25 different bras. I found three that I loved. It’s pricy, but worth the money. Happy boobs and back is a must!
Spend the money. It’s at least a year to 1.5 years that you’ll be wearing this.

For while now I knew that I had to be remeasured and fitted for a bra. I also knew that i had to break down and spend more money than i am use to yo get some quality pieces. A co-​worker of mine suggested the store because we both had large bust. I had called ahead to make and appointment and then proceeded to change it about three times, but the staff was very accommodating.
I walked into the store and immediate I was happy because I could see pretty and lacy bras in my size, not just plain bras in white or brown. Bea was the person who helped me and she took me into large comfortable dressing who with a robe and a side table. She measure by bust and waist and then started to find bras in my size. I ended up buying two bras, because that was all my budget would allow, but trust me i wanted to buy almost all of the bras that came in my size.
Great customer service and great selection for all sizes!!!

I remember hearing about A Revelation in Fit when it first opened and I thought… Hey! That’s not too far, I could totally swing by some weekend. But despite the store having amazingly accessible hours, I never did make the trek. Fast forward to recently.
I was only a few blocks away for a doctor’s appointment one day, and I made a mental note to myself that I should visit this store after the appointment. But by the time I left the doctor’s office, I was feeling pretty low, pretty fragile. Do I *really* want to put myself through the hell that is bra shopping, *now*, I asked myself. I wavered, imagining the stereotype of specialty lingerie shops I had built up in my brain… of some stern looking lady staring critically, poking at my naked boobs, asking probing questions (I have no idea where I got that misconception, but there it was). However, heartened by the memory of positive reviews on Unilocal,I decided to just go for it.
When I first walked in, a voice greeted me from the back, welcoming me in. It was a store associate helping someone with a fit check, so until she was available, I politely meandered around looking at the overflowing displays of bras in every shape and color, panties of all cuts and persuasions. The racks seemed to be kept immaculately neat — no bras falling off the hangers, no mixed up styles, everything tidily in place. It really is a fine looking establishment.
The associate who greeted me, Drea, eventually popped out to check and see if I needed any assistance. She seemed very willing to just let me browse, if that’s what I wanted, but when I inquired about getting a fitting, she enthusiastically helped me into a dressing room, did a quick measurement, and then had my try on a sample of the size she suspected I was. After a thorough (but not stern or critical!) inspection, she said she would pull some bras for me.
In a flash, she came back with 15 different bras, in a bunch of different sizes and styles, and no sooner had a begun trying some on, when she popped back with 15 more. It was amazing! I’m really indecisive, and I’m convinced I have very little self-​awareness about what works with my body, so having her do the expert picking really went a long way towards making me feel more at ease in the dressing room.
Both Drea and Charlotte, another store associate who arrived later, helped me along the way with fit checks and pulling more styles for me to try as they saw what seemed to be working for me. It was so nice to have someone knowledgeable to navigate the shelves instead of me… even though, sure, I could have gone out and just grabbed every single style in a couple of sizes, but it would have felt a little directionless. With their more focused and direct selection, I found not one, not two, but FIVE different bras that really, *really* fit me in under an hour!
So, a hearty thank you to Drea and Charlotte! I came in with a depressive mood and apprehensive expectations, and they both turned my day completely around with their easy, friendly, but extremely knowledgeable assistance. I had one of the greatest shopping experiences ever, partly because I found *so many* things that fit, but also because of the excellent customer service. I heard other customers argue stubbornly with their advice, but I am grateful that I just trusted their instincts and went with the flow. They know their stuff!
One thing that stood out to me about a properly fitting bra at first was… Whoa. The band feels *tight*. But the consensus from both Drea and Charlotte was, «actually, you could go to an even smaller band». One thing I learned that day was that, because many women get used to wearing band sizes that are much too large, the properly fitting band can feel pretty tight in comparison. I was one of the many women who was incorrectly using the straps for support, but I can tell you a week into my conversion and I am NEVER GOING BACK! The tighter band seems like it would be more uncomfortable, but it really isn’t. And I do not miss having to readjust my straps every five minutes! Hurray!
Also, side note, I’m very petite and my boobs are pretty modest in size, so I always assumed that I didn’t need too much in the way of support. But a properly fitting, supportive bra has completely upped my under-​garment game! I highly recommend this store for women (and boobs) of all shapes and sizes! Trust the nice ladies, and they’ll help you find your bra soulmate!

I feel like my quest for the perfect fitting bra has come to an end. I have searched high and low for a bra that fits properly. I found them by putting in the word ‘bra’ in google maps. I was ready to hunt, to find one… just one bra. I was starting to believe that I was the only person in the world with these sized boobs. But with a fitting by Robin, I now know I am a 34FF-​34GG.
The staff was helpful and attentive. Not only did I find one, but I got three. Im cleaning out my drawer of old, stupid, ill fitting, icky bras and only shopping for bra there. I was overcome with relief when I found a bra that fit properly, that I got teary eyed.
Thank the boob gods for a revelation in fit.

I’d only ever had one other «bra fitting» before yesterday and I put that in quotes because what really happened was that I went into another store, got measured, and was told «we don’t carry anything in your size,» without any attempt to find something that might work, so I kinda don’t count it.
Revelation is right! This was an eye-​opening experience for me. As someone who’s only ever bought bras at the flea market, I had no idea what to expect. The staff was super duper friendly and just made the whole process totally painless. There was no pressure to buy, no condescension or impatience, no attitude of «well, you’re a weird size, so there’s nothing we can do for you.» We tried a range of sizes and brands. It was really just an all around nice time. Would highly recommend.

Ok, so my friend told me about this place about a year ago when they first opened. She told me it changed her life, and I should check it out. I was interested, but quickly forgot about it that is until today. I went with this same friend, and let me tell you, it CHANGED MY LIFE. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted by Madison (I believe). She could tell from me just standing there I was wearing the wrong size!
She took my back to a fitting room, measured me. I had been wearing a 38 D, turns out I’m a 32 F (or anywhere up to a G depending on the bra). So yeah just a little off!
The first bra I tried on in my correct size was amazing. I could breathe better all of a sudden! I spent the next hour trying on every bra Madison could bring me, and just having an amazing time! I now have extremely comfortable bras that support me like nothing else.
The only down side is pricing. Most bras are expensive, and this is one is no exception. It’s pricey but I think worth it.

I had a positive experience here. Located on a popular shopping street, it’s a great place to browse. I was greeted right away by a friendly woman. I told her what I was looking for, and knew exactly what I wanted. She promptly measured me in a large, furnished, private dressing room to find out my proper size. I was shocked that the bras I have been wearing my whole life were the wrong size. She then pulled many different bras and panties from the store she believed would fit me. These bras fit me really well!
All in all, I felt very comfortable here with a very positive vibe. I never once felt like I was pressured to buy anything but still got wonderful one on one attention. It was great and will probably come back.
With that being said, unfortunately when you go to a small, privately owned store like this keep in mind you either find exactly what you want or you don’t. Either they have a small selection or they are between shipments and won’t get what you are looking for. So that’s why I took one star off my rating. It’s not even the stores fault really. So if you are looking for something specific be prepared to look at a bunch of different stores, but do consider this place first as it is definitely worth a look around.

I want to particularly give a shoutout to Revelation for carrying excellent nursing bras. I’ve been a customer for regular bras since the shop opened up and have been very pleased. So pleased I was super sad when my breasts grew huge and tender during my pregnancy and I could no longer fit in 90% of my lovely bras!
Nursing bras are even trickier to fit and select than regular bras — in addition to critical issues of band and cup fit, add the need for easy access while nursing and the option to use absorbent pads if your breasts leak. Plus everything is more tender and variable, so fit can be even more challenging! For the first month after my baby was born I managed with unsupportive, cheap nursing bras from Target. But I finally made a trip to Revelation for several high quality nursing bras and I am SO GLAD I did.
Revelation carries a small but excellent array of nursing bras (four styles as of July 2015) including some more practical /​simple options and a few cute & sexy options. I wound up with one straightforward black padded bra with great support and removable pads, and one lovely dusty lavender bra with cute buttons and bows. They are both a HUGE step up from what I was wearing before — well fitted, comfortable (no more achy shoulders from poorly fitted bands!) and very high quality.
So don’t lose heart if you’re pregnant or nursing — Robynne has great bra options that will work for you, too!

I am an unusual size, and they had a delicious selection of lacy confections. Their sales staff were outstanding, and the prices were quite reasonable, considering the quality and selection.
I highly recommend this shop for all my fellow abundantly endowed ladies.

I walked into the shop not knowing what to expect, especially since I usually like to go au natural. But I am intrigued by bras and wear them to work, and I was curious if I’ve been wearing the wrong size, though I was sized at a large-​name lingerie chain years before.
The shop attendant (I think her name was Lauren) was super friendly and helpful, and I would give her 5+ stars. Although she was very busy with other customers and with the merchandise, she took her time to properly size me and help me find a bra that I liked the look of and that fit well. I was shocked to discover that my size was completely off from what I’d previously been told, and though I disliked almost all styles of bras (really wish they had demi cups in solid colors or classic patterns) I found ONE bra that I really liked. The $ 80 price tag also surprised me, but I wanted to think about it and come back before making such a purchase, especially since it isn’t a necessity in my mind.
This is where the customer service went way down in my book. Another shop attendant who was obviously new though friendly enough helped me put my info and the bra name and size into their database before the owner came in and gave me the stink eye for not purchasing it right then. Seeing as this was my last interaction before leaving the shop, it left a big impression on me and knocked my review down from 4.5 stars to 2.5.
