A Bed and Breakfast on Fairmount offers a traditional homestay experience in a convenient and charming residential community in Oakland, California, near Berkeley. Nancy and Jason enthusiastically share their «green» lifestyle with guests … «incorporating seasonal produce and fresh eggs from the backyard organic garden into various healthy breakfasts.» Their large garden is also called a «Bird-lover’s Paradise.» This historic home accommodates larger parties for family and guest events, and features city and western views, including Mt. Tamalpais. Every guest room offers a private, full bathroom. Breakfasts are served inside the French windows looking onto the patio and back yard. Amenities include free Wireless Internet access, hardwood floors, TVs/​VCR/​DVD and the convenience of many nearby attractions, restaurants and services.

Established in 1996.

We started up officially in May of 1996, and have been delighted to own and operate A Bed and Breakfast on Fairmount for 15.5 years now. Nancy worked in several other bed and breakfasts previously, to learn how to do what she wanted to do once she opened her own B&B.

Nancy grew up in Midwest US and Jason in Queensland, Australia. We both love being «eco-​friendly», taking vegetable gardening seriously, and enjoying getting to know wonderful folks who gravitate to bed and breakfasts. We are relaxed and enjoy sharing our house/​home, which we’ve been doing as a Bed and Breakfast since 1996 — 15.5 years!
