been a customer for over 20+ years. they have the best chicken and broccoli, fried chicken wings and hot & sour soup. beef fried rice is up there as well. have had a list full of other items. but the one I mentioned by name are the stand out dishes for me. many have commented on the lack of customer service. but I have to say customer service is really a dying art everywhere. that being said this is a fast food joint. what type of customer service are you looking for? I understand this and look instead for good quality food/taste. don’t get me wrong I want to be treated well and in all honesty if you are well mannered yourself and understand time is ticking when you place your order the lady is ok overall. both owners get to know their loyal long time customers and show their appreciation in their own way. I’ve tried many many different Chinese fast food joints and well this is my #1.

Delicious takeout, so glad they deliver to my area! The food is always on point and the delivery time is reasonable. Even though I have at least 5 places near me, this is my go-to place when I am craving Chinese takeout!

I don’t understand how this place has 4 stars. the lady is super rude on the phone, and the food really isn’t that good. It’s inconsistent, and they gave me some fried wontons and a 2 liter the last time that I didn’t even order. At first, I thought maybe it was on the house, but I was charged for these nasty wontons and the Coke. And maybe some would argue that they shouldn’t be rated on their phone customer service because it is just a take out place. But she is just so rude that I can’t simply ignore it anymore; she’s either screaming at me or sighing annoyingly and muttering ‘oh my god’ not so subtlety. I don’t know, there’s so many Chinese takeout places around. do you really need to stop by this one?

My favorite Chinese takeout EVER. I crave the food at imperial wok. The woman at the counter can be a little grumpy, but if you’re a regular she will hook it up. Free drink or free egg roll for you! The cheese wontons and the garlic chicken are my personal favorites. Everything here is phenomenal and the delivery/pick up time is quick. The price is pretty cheap too, so be prepared to eat like a king or queen without breaking open your piggy bank. The décor here is not the best. I would advise eating else where. To my knowledge this place has an A health rating, so don’t let the décor fool you. I am pretty sensitive to MSG and I never have any issues when eating here. Also, be sure to tip your delivery man. He has no problem coming back to your door and telling you that you didn’t tip him. A little pompous, but I respect the hustle.

Disgusting. The food is dry & tastes like its 20 days old. Okay… Let me change my review(above) that I posted months ago… The food from this place is actually pretty decent & fresh ONLY when the cooks in the back prepare the food. The beef & broccoli is my favorite and they make it soooo yummy, leaving my tummy happy! But… the food tastes absolutely horrible when the lady in the front decides to take charge and cooks/warms up the food. Every single time I have ordered chicken wings, egg rolls, spare ribs, or anything else that the cashier is capable of heating up, it is ALWAYS dry, cold, stale, and tough. When I see her getting ready to prepare my food, I cancel it right away…(You Unilocalers will thank me). Just make sure to order something that requires actual cooking so that the lady doesn’t touch your food.

No doubt about it – this is the best Chinese food in the area. I’ve eaten at them all and hands down this place is great. I frequently take home dinner at the end of the day for the entire family. And their prices are very reasonable.

Best Chinese American Fast Food. Excellent Fried Chicken Wing. I love the Honey Spare Rib Tips. Hot & Sour Soup has a lot of meat, excellent also.

Best chinese food around. Been going here for 15 years. The lady that works here always cracks me up. She is abrupt and hearing her take an order over the phone is hysterical. Say what you want about her, but she is actually very kind if you have a chance to say a couple words to her. I compare every chinese food place I try to Imp Wok, and let me tell you IMPWOK always wins. It’s never even close. Their General Tsos is insane.

Best Chinese take out in the area by far, taste wise. Prices are pretty standard here. I always get the sesame chicken with brown rice with an order of hot and sour soup. They have decent lo mein here as well. The only reason they didn’t get the fifth star is because of the grumpy old lady that always rude. She picks up the phone saying«what?!» In person she’s just as bad, always so dismissive and angry looking. The years I’ve been coming here I’ve never seen her crack a smile but when I’m in the mood for some good Chinese take out, I’m willing to deal with the angry grandma.

Walked in for the first time on my lunch hour and i ordered a mixed vegetable with chicken and fried rice with a shrimp roll. The older guy at the front put everything in the bag and no shrimp roll because he forgot to tell the cooks. Strike 1. Came to my jobsite and opened the tray of food to find big pieces of pork inside ! If im paying you money and youre a fast food restaurant that were paying you money to make our food a certain way, follow it! Now because of religious purposes i cannot eat it. Waste of my money and time. I went back & told the woman at the counter what they did all she did was say sorry and look at me like i was retarded. Never again !!! Theyre all mean, nasty and not business friendly!!!

I’ve come here 3x now and enjoyed all the food so far. Not bad for a chinese food spot. I like watching the guy in the back cook on his wok. Once I’ve tried more of their dishes I’ll give a 2nd review with more detail about what I liked and didn’t…

I’ve been ordering takeout from this place since 7th grade, haha. It’s really the only Chinese restaurant I have ever known and tastes way better than the other neighborhood Chinese restaurants around. I won’t lie, the foods here are greasy, but which Chinese restaurants aren’t? I really love their food, especially the sesame chicken lunch special and beef chow fun. My favorite soup here is the hot and sour soup, but heads up for future eaters, their soups are drenched in cornstarch. You can see it, feel it, and maybe even taste it(if you have a sensitive palate). They have some great ass fried chicken wings and BBQ spareribs(albeit, the ribs can sometimes be and taste burnt). Oh, I just remembered. Ever since this one messy incident with shrimp and lobster sauce, I never ordered it again. I believe I ordered it lunch special style and normally, lunch special items are packed inside the styrofoam trays and stapled. So, by the time I had it delivered and taken out, the sauce spilled out and dribbled on the other items in the bag and along the bottom. It was the only upsetting thing I remembered about this place/menu item. Overall, this place is a good Chinese neighborhood restaurant. I have good memories here. I want to continue to support their business. Go Imperial Wok!!!

So it’s a weekday an decided to try a differs spot for Chinese. This place seemed pretty good so we ordered half chicken with young chow fried rice(fried rice without soy sauce) it was pretty good except they use imitation crab meat when I asked to substitute it she said no sadly. The chicken was a bit dry but we also ordered boneless spare ribs which was better overall I would be back to Try other things on the menu

Have been curious about this place since I heard about it via word of mouth. Saw the menu here and through menu pages but figured it was all out of date. Called and ordered off the top of my head what most take out places would serve as a staple. Yes, the tone of voice from the lady taking your order over the phone isn’t exactly friendly but not mean either in my opinion… maybe«terse» is the word. Food arrived within 40mins which isn’t bad at all on a Saturday night around 7pm, delivery guy was friendly. I ordered a small hot and sour soup, cheese wonton, Singapore noodles and beef pan fried noodles. The hot and sour soup is way better than the ones I get around me(Empire Garden and China Grill). No complaints about the cheese wonton though it wasn’t crispy on the outside, filling was pretty good. I really like the Singapore noodles and it’s got some good heat to it. Pan fried noodles was not bad but I prefer the thinner noodles and they use the thicker ones like lo mein. All in all I wasn’t disappointed and will order from here again to try other items now that I have their menu.

Just moved into the area and came to Unilocal to pick my Chineasy takeout spot. I hope more people review this so they’re in the know. First off, the lady on the phone is mean. However, it’s a takeout so I don’t care; I just yell back. The shrimp with lobster sauce is very tasty and the sauce is not too goopy. Hot and sour soup is surprisingly very good. The best though is the chicken and broccoli, order it with garlic sauce and ask for spicy. FYI, this only comes in a large order. This is BANGING. I never get chicken and broccoli but I needed to try based on other reviews. The first two times I ordered, I didn’t think it was all that. Third time is a charm. I crave this on a weekly basis. Cash only and they deliver fast.

Great tasting fast food. Fellow Unilocaler Christy L. Summed it up best. «This place is dirt cheap…» for a Chinese take out place you can’t go wrong. I have only been here a few times, but I am always satisfied with the food. The chicken lo mein, the double sauteed pork and the beef and broccoli always hit the spot. The place literally is like a dive, if you’re not careful you can easily miss it on Horace Harding Expressway. Just use the McDonalds as a reference since«Imperial Taste» is only a few stores from it. Oh yeah, the restaurant is called«Imperial Taste» NOT«Imperial Wok» Semantics I know, forgive me.(^_^) What I really enjoy about this particular establishment is the tasty sauce and gravy on the dishes. The sauce is salty but at the same time not too salty if you know what I mean. If you want to know what I really mean, try it out for yourself. You can thank me later.

Sadly, I eat take out at least twice a week. Their chicken and broccoli is great. Sometimes can be kind of salty but seriously? It’s Chinese take out, that shit is salty oily and will give you heartburn. I have taken quite a liking to their beef Lo mein. I only wish there was more noodles and not so much meat, but that’s just me being… Weird lol. This place is a hole in the wall so whats up with this talk about it being dirty and all? it’s a take out place come on –_– the other Chinese food place around the corner(I didn’t feel the name of the joint important enough to remember… I can just tell you it’s got a green theme going on), charge a lot for what? This place is dirt cheap and delivers what you want no thrills no frills. For example, you can order a small and that shit is so overflowing it may as well be called a medium. Plus the owner here are so kind to my family. Always giving my kid brother a soda… The chef would even walk out to the car because he knows my brothers sitting inside(he gave me one too hehe). That’s some customer service.
