Specialties
We specialize in handmade BBQ done over an outdoor fire pit with wood coals. Our specialties are Beef Tri-Tip, Whole Hog and Pork Spareribs and homemade individual fruit pies. Customers choose from sandwiches or dinner plates. All meats are custom cooked and available for take away. We offer catering for events and parties.
History
Established in 2012.
Bret Supernaw lost a bet in a bar and worked the BBQ pit for a local fair on a hot summer’s day. This launched his BBQ career preparing BBQ pits at craft fairs, peddler’s fairs and other public events in the Sierra Nevada Foothills. He acquired a skill for hand roasting the meats over wood coals and creating amazing secret sauces. He quickly developed a following of satisfied customers who traveled for his sandwiches and meats.
Fielding many requests from his fans, Mr. Supernaw finally decided to open a restaurant in his hometown of Oakhurst, California. The rest is history. Using homemade sauces, excellent ingredients and old world techniques his restaurant has become the go-to place for BBQ in the Sierra Nevada Foothills.

Business Owner
Bret Supernaw and his wife and 2 sons and daughter live in their home town of Oakhurst, California. Grandma Supernaw was raised in Texas and Oklahoma. Bret loved spending time in the kitchen with his grandmother and his father. The whole family had a love of BBQ cooking and developed their special sauces testing things with 3 generations of experience and expertise passed down through generations.
