History
Established in 1978.
Dan’s Auto Center officially opened its doors in Dec. of 1978, out of the need to supplement the income Dan made by teaching. It started out as a one car garage. By June of 1979, Dan had resigned from teaching, and through the summer until opening day of August 13, 1979, he and other willing and faithful friends and relatives helped prepare a small shop north of town.
It was a «one man shop» with Sally working part time to do «books and banking». Sally took a long leave of absence in 1980 to raise newborn twins and a two year old toddler.
As the years went by, employees were hired, walls were knocked out for expansion and finally, in 1984 Dan built his dream shop.
With the bigger facility, built just as Dan had designed and planned, the shop was able to take in more work and perform more efficiently.
Many years have passed, but Dan’s Auto still continues to grow by updating equipment and by training and education in order to best meet the customer’s needs.

In 1997 the Car Care Council selected Dan’s Auto Center as one of their Car Care Inspection Centers. Only 5% of all shops in the USA are able to meet the criteria to become a registered center.
