America’s Best Value Inn

Did spend one night in that charming place and the last…
I recognise that I made a mistake making the booking the wrong
date, a night before, and ask to
have a room as the employee told me that this is not busy period and they will probably slide my booking the right day.
After a weird sleep and a cheap brekky, ready to checkout and full of hope, manager explained me that because I reserved on price. line they won’t get any money because she did cancel the «no show» date and charged me for the night… Again…
Anyway, we experienced something during the night that I’m not used to put on comparative sites and we left straight away after talking to the lovely manager
(truly she is), but for that kind of customer service I will make an exception. Room143 the 11÷7÷15, some of these red bugs were in our clothes and in the bed in the morning, my girlfriend got bitten many times (feeling blessed) and if you have a look on trip. advisor there is other people who experienced same issue.

What horrible customer service! Called the hotel today requesting to cancel our reservation because we took the wrong freeway and didn’t realize it was another 3 or so hours to get to them from our point at Yosemite.
I explained to Brianna that I had my 1 yr old in the car and that we were already on the road for 6 + hours… and she said well you got the special rate and therefore we cannot cancel your reservation.
The website where I made the reservation on agreed to cancel but Brianna and her manager refused! How inhumane! I have a tired, screaming child in the car and they refuse to make any accommodations. Please do not book your hotel here. Horrible customer service! Horrible!
Poor Brianna wasn’t the issue– it’s her manager Tasha! They should fire Tasha and make Brianna manager! Tasha doesn’t seem to have the qualities to be a manager!

Stayed in a double bed single ! The hotel is basic. Rooms pretty spacious. The bath however is small. Pool is fine. People were friendly. Breakfast is like whatever they have a waffle machine, some pastries, cereal, and toast. We stayed and traveled to Yosemite everyday it’s a comfortable distance.

I booked a Three night stay through Priceline. I had all my paperwork and everything. I got there checked in and everything seemed to be going well till the next morning. The next morning we were told we could not stay there another night even though we had booked to more nights, due to they had a bus load of people coming in. They kicked us out for something better another words, even though we had reservations and were checked in. The were so rude and unprofessional about it also. They could have cared less that they left us out in the cold. What was supposed to be a happy trip to Yosemite turned into a nightmare in Oakhurst thanks to Americas Best Value Inn. The room were also terrible. Exposed wiring from the ceiling and walls. No fire alarms and the ones that were there were ripped out and the wires just left hanging there. This place is terrible all the way around. Will never ever stay with them again. Do your self a favor and go on to Mariposa and stay at the Monarch Inn. They treat you right.

Jeez, I feel foolish for not having read the reviews before I booked this place. However, we had been traveling for many hours and were very tired so we decided to stay here since everything else was booked. Although it is very close to Yosemite, and the people are nice, it’s absolutely uncomfortable to stay here. The carpets are absolutely disgusting to the point where I was screaming at my son to not let anything touch the ground! When I tried to unplug the lamp from the wall receptacle, the entire cord broke in half. Don’t even get me started on the bed — it was like sleeping on springs. The pillows were basically pancakes, what else can I say– it’s horrible. I probably would have had better sleep in my car! You should probably just keep driving until you find something else, or just over pay for the convenience of having somewhere to sleep that’s warm.

I should have read the Unilocal reviews before coming here. I have always loved americas best value in because they are cheap and generally provide quality (at least more quality than what you’d expect from the cheap price). This one was pricier than others due to the location, however the quality is absolute crap. The whole building is dirty. The carpets in the rooms are dirty. 3 out of 5 electric outlets are missing their covers. One night stand was clearly taken out of the room. The sheets have holes in them. And if you don’t believe me, check out the pictures I took of it. Now, I could care less about a cheap (somewhat so) hotel room. But I know the people that will read this will. You should stay away. If your like me and care very little, it will do the job fine. It is just disappointing that this particular americas best value inn makes the company look like Americas WORST value inn.

We understand that this is a budget hotel yet with the price we paid, it should be a little bit better than what we got.
The people who work there are friendly and helpful and the location is good for visiting Yosemite. That’s about all the positive things i can say about this place.
The room is of a good size, the beds aren’t the greatest, the carpets are super dirty because if you walk on it with your bare feet, your feet will turn black. The bathtub is scary because when you are on it, it squeaks as if it’s going to fall apart any minute!

Whatever you do do not stay here. There are multiple reasons for this, this hotel is flat out terrible. There are spiders and ants in the rooms. Poor lighting, filthy walls, ring around the bathtub, calcified faucets, and plenty more. I’m pretty sure the staff nap in the beds before you get into the rooms. Dirty rooms, things under the beds and pillows missing. The pool is not bad but the spa is disgusting the water is a dark shade of green. Broken showers and water fountains by the pool also the rooms smell musty and dirty. Front staff walk around barefoot in sweatpants. The continental breakfast is nothing more than cereal, pancakes, and terrible coffee. This place is way to expensive for the quality of the rooms. Do not waste your time or money here you will be disappointed.

PLEASE do yourself a big favor don’t book this hotel. Everything looked outdated, the beds were super ancient and floor was either dirty or rusty. OMG I don’t even want to talk about the pillows «peace of wood» they had only 2 tiny flat pillows for a king bed. I was very disappointed.
The only good thing was the fast WiFi and yes they had breakfast but the hot water was not hot at all. Will not stay there again
