Tj’s Pizzeria Cafe

I purchased a large penne vodka pizza it was last order of the night. I was absolutely shocked at this delivery I received after waiting an hour & a half, see pictures, I can’t believe that this pizza was allowed to be delivered to a paying customer. More than half the pie was inedible due to the severe black burntness. I have never received any delivery from them like this before, I am extremely upset and unhappy and surprised that they would actually let this leave the store in this condition. I contacted Timothy Deaver/​Company Manager to inform him of this and sent him the pictures that very night, because when I immediately called the store no one answered. He promised me someone would contact me from the store and he would send me coupons also. I never got a call nor any coupons and since then Mr. Deaver ignores my emails. It is a shame they didn’t even have the decency to rectify this. I think they need better management and customer care!

I haven’t been eating pizza as much as I used to so I hadn’t been to TJ’s (which I really liked) in quite a while. Well, last week we ordered a plain and I must say I was really disappointed. To be fair, the pizza tasted fine. What was truly disappointing was how much they cut back on the amount of ingredients. The amount of dough used for the crust was a lot less than it used to be. Very skimpy on the tomato sauce as well. Not very filling at all.
I suppose they are trying to increase margins by reducing the amount of ingredients while keeping the price the same. Frankly, I’d prefer a price increase and get a Pizza that I expect than an inexpensive one that is skimpy. It’s unfortunate as it still tasty. We’ll be going elsewhere for a while

I order from them on a fairly regular basis (2 – 3 times per month) and the food is always consistently good. The eggplant is fantastic. They have several different eggplant sandwiches, wraps and dishes and they are all fantastic. The pizza is consistently good and the service is always courteous and pleasant. There are several different options in town for pizza and I always choose tj’s.

My favorite is the BBQ chicken pizza with bacon, ranch on the side. I used to go to Franks pizza more often in the next plaza, but TJ’s is my place now. Franks has a bunch of no-​smile employees who look like they all hate it there, even the owners. Anyways, TJ’s employees are always friendly and the prices and service are good. Just tried a panini last night and looking forward to trying others.
Btw I always do pick-​up, so I can’t speak for home delivery times.
