Camp Bow Wow

I like Camp Bow Wow and I don’t plan to cut them off, but this facility is a bit overrated. We had been faithfully going to Camp Run a Mutt by the galleria until my boyfriend and I moved to Spring.
The facility is very nice, cute décor. We dropped off our dog for interview day and we were told that one of the shots needed to be re-​done because they require a 6 month dose. That’s great, I just wish I would’ve been told that on the phone. I knew we had all of our shots up to date. It kind of perturbed me that they did not want to set up the interview day the same day, even though I drove all the way to my dog’s vet to get the proper dosage, per their request. I didn’t back down and I made sure she was interviewed the same day. The woman was not very friendly when I was so persistent. That irked me.
We have actually had to call because we watched dogs get sprayed with a water bottle and dogs get pulled by their collars. The collar pull is a huge no no at our home. We don’t do it and we don’t want the «counselors» doing it. When we called, they apologized and I saw an immediate change in behavior by the staff. I appreciated that.
At the end of the day we requested a tour. They obliged, not very excitedly. The area seemed clean, it just didn’t smell clean — for obvious reasons.
I don’t like that there is no water for the dogs to play in and I really don’t like that most of the day care is done in doors. I also am not happy that my dog was caged up from 7 – 8:30 AM because the camp does not ACTUALLY begin until 8:30.
We will use bow wow infrequently as it does the job we need done. We prefer run a mutt down by the galleria because of the outdoor play area, no kennels (even over night), and clean facility. I was also told that bow wow had a referall program — no one has called my friend that referred me.
I really want to like this place, but I don’t see it happening.

I will never take my dog here again. I recommend you don’t either. I was willing to let this go but now they have pissed me off.
First, my dog absolutely hated it there. Watching her on the video, she was pacing and nervous from the amount of dogs in the play area and the limited space. It was heartbreaking. There is a crowded room with no toys and only 1 person per what seemed like 20+ big dogs. The outside area is sad, small, and blocked off with no real grass.
Second, I purchased a bath while she was there all day. Tell me why she came home damp if they had all day to bathe her.
A close friend of mine states Camp Bow Wow told her that her dog needs a sedative because she has been in a few scuffles with other dogs there. My friend was absolutely horrified to barely be hearing about this after it happened a few time. Why kind of Pet care facility does this? Terrible!
This place is definitely a no go and being someone who has been in the animal care industry for over 10 years, they do not have your pets best interest at heart and their customer service is absolutely atrocious. Seems they are more interested in nickel-​and-​diming there customers rather than providing great customer service and having them come back.
There are too many great places in the surrounding area to settle for this warehouse looking sub-​par customer service facility. You should get what you pay for and this place is definitely over priced for what they have to offer.

Everyone seems to know Malley and Duke by name as soon as they see them. Also, I’m always helped out to my car by someone, which really makes picking up two big dogs so much easier. The employees have an awesome welcoming attitude which makes me feel totally comfortable leaving my «babies» with them.

This place is great! We love being able to check in on our dog and seeing that the employees are giving the dogs love and attention. Our dog loves it here.

It was hard leaving my little guy for any length of time but when we had to leave town I decided on camp bow wow for boarding. I am very glad I did as they took great care of my maltipoo and made sure his special diet was followed and his over active tear ducts were cleaned daily. I knew he was safe and with humans as well as dogs his own size while there. I especially love the idea of the cameras which allowed my family and I to check in on him. It gave us peace of mind seeing that he was in good hands and taken care of!

The problem with camp bow wow is once your dog has been NOTHING else can compare! The staff is friendly, the place is clean, I can watch my dog play at all times, and most importantly they want your puppy to have fun! I don’t feel guilty leaving my dog here. However, Sunday’s I wish they were open all day or at least let the dogs play the entire six hours they are open… The one time I have boarded my puppy at this location was on a Saturday so i didn’t really like the lack of playtime she got on Sunday! She was still really hyper after her time there when normally she’s exhausted. The previous camp bow wow we went to was open all day Sunday.

My Chihuahuas have been going to Camp Bow Wow for several months now. I have to travel maybe 30% of the time and needed to find a team I can trust to care for my babies. I love my babies very much!
Camp Bow Wow initially made me very comfortable with their interview process, it mad me feel like they cared about the experience and safety of the dogs. Of course my well behaved babies passed with flying colors. I given a tour of the facility and felt it was a clean and safe environment for Kirby and Kasey.
To date I am very happy with Camp Bow Wow. My pups seem excited to go hang out with their CBW friends and their reaction when we arrive gives me tremendous comfort. If any little thing happens with one of the pups, someone from CBW calls right away. One example: one of the team members noticed a little discoloration in Kirby’s urine and called me right way, reassured me that they were watching him closely and that someone would take him to the vet if necessary. They also called me periodically to let me know how my little guy was doing.
Overall it is always difficult for me to leave my pups with anyone, but I feel like the CBW team really cares about their four legged guests. Kirby and Kasey get to play with friends most of the day and they love, love, love the peanut butter treats they get at night.
I would recommend Camp Bow Wow for your pet’s staycation for sure!!!

I truly can not say enough good things about camp bow wow. I occasionally have been taking my dog for day care to socialize and play when I have a day full of things to do. I recently had my first boarding experience and have found it was worth every penny. My dog came home happy and content and not traumatized and skinny. It was really nice being able to check up on him throughout his stay as well. The staff at camp bow wow really care for your dog and I truly feel comfortable leaving him in their care! Thank you for providing a wonderful experience and a safe and fun place for my fur baby to stay when we are away!

My dogs love to go to Camp Bow Wow for daycare and boarding. They are always excited to go, and happy and not traumatized when I pick them up. It’s great to have a safe, caring place for my babies when I can’t take them with me.

5 Woofs+. A place where ‘dogs having fun being dogs’ is a priority? Yes! This is a paradigm shift. Brilliant, dog-​intuitive concept, outstanding ‘dog-​whisper’ listening staff. A much, much better concept for kenneling. Wow. (Bow-​WOW ;) Susie and Wags say thanks for great interview experience. Susie was nervous, but she opened up! She’s going to have so much fun learning how to be a dog. Wags was his happiest, affable dog-​self. You all are the best, thank you!

Camp Bow Wow is awesome. Not only do my girls love it there but so do I. The staff is absolutely amazing and the pricing is extremely competitive. The facilities are really clean and they have webcams to check on your pup while you’re away. I wouldn’t take my girls anywhere else.

We have loved Camp Bow Wow for years (and have used several of their locations in various cities) but today they out did themselves. In a miscommunication we thought the dogs were up to date on shots but found out they weren’t when we tried to drop them off. Camp Bow Wow found a local vet for us to take the dogs to and they will pick them up so we can get to the airport on time. AWESOME!
I love that daycare is included in the boarding fees, they let our 2 dogs stay in the same kennel but feed them separately and you can watch your dog on the app.

Everyone there took the time to make me n my Charlie feel comfortable. They answered all my questions n explained the schedule. Being able to watch my pooch on the web cams throughout the day set me at ease. Will definitely recommend to others!

This is Bailey’s home away from home. She loves it here and always has a blast, so much so she’s there 3 days a week. We love it because the staff is not only attentive to the dogs but also treat them as if they were their own. Everyone is nice, friendly, and very accommodating to your needs. You also have the added benefit of being able to watch your dog on webcam while you’re away! They also groom/​bathe and trim your dogs nails and then you’re dog can play after its done. I can also pick up food for her while I’m there, which for this working mom of a toddler is a big bonus. I can’t imagine life without Camp Bow Wow, luckily ill never have to!

this place is awesome, they truly care for your dog here. they have lots of dogs stay here daily and overnight, all shapes and sizes. they keep all dogs separated according to size.
our dog passed her «interview», to make sure she is compatible with others, (super stressful for us parents) and she’s stayed here for a few play dates so far. the place seems to be very clean, and well kept. and the employees seem as happy as the dogs to be here. we are comfortable with leaving our dog here when we leave town.
they have multiple webcams so you can watch your dog play during the day. what a great idea…
