These guys are Fantastic! After checking around for someone to upholster a hickory chair sofa I’ve had for 9 yrs, I had a few conversations with Anthony via FB and our journey started then. After waiting for a specific fabric to come in, my sofa was completed in about 1.5 weeks with all of the small details in tact. This being tufted portions and a gazillion nail-​heads. The price is unbeatable and the service can’t be compared. Their store is filled with beautiful things that can be upholstered or used as thy are. As if I didn’t have enough chairs, I purchased another. You will get to know these guys, they are personable and by the time you’ve dealt with them for a while, they feel like old time friends. Don’t even attempt to compare this service, you’re wasting your time

Several years ago I had Slipcover Plus make a slipcover for my loveseat + seat covers for my dining room chairs + 3 arm chair slipcovers + 2 rolled pillows. I supplied my own fabric for everything except the loveseat. About a month ago, I decided to get my sofa slipcovered and the slipcover was put on today. LOVE everything they do! Anthony is very professional, and since he pre-​screened what I was looking for, he brought the appropriate fabric samples. My sofa looks fabulous! I had them line the slipcover also. The detail and finishing work on the slipcover is incredible. Anthony responds promptly to inquiries, arrives on time, and delivers the product as promised. I like that they don’t mind if you provide your own fabric. It’s a real pleasure to deal with a company that values their customer and delivers on their promises.

I used them to make three cushions for my window seat. I supplied the fabric and they designed it to specification. The cushions were done on time and look fantastic in our space. I will definitely use them again.

Customer service is excellent!!! Their work is impeccable. Very reasonable prices. If you are looking for custom slipcovers reupholstering or new cushion covers this is the place to go.

We got an estimate for a chair to be upholstered at this store using a very clear photo of the chair we submitted online for $ 450.
So we went into the store with the chair and some young guy who did not know much told us labor alone would cost $ 750. We told him we’d had other estimates for half that including the one from their shop. He told us that it was too bad and if we found cheaper prices to just go there. We also asked him before this for fabrics if he had any country French designs and he said we could just look through all the books. I think he did not know what that meant. There were hundreds of these books. It was surreal. We left. Found another shop for so much less and higher quality who were knowledgeable and very helpful. I’d tell folks to steer clear of this shop. It was a bad experience.

I found slipcoversplus on the web when searching to have a small chair uphostered saw all the good reviews sent them pictures of the chair and they gave me a quote right away and it was on a Sunday I was very surprised they were able to tell me how much material to order as we already had a swatch we liked we brought the chair in was told it would be about 3 weeks and sure enough they called in that time frame and said the chair was done they did a fantastic job we are very please and can’t wait to bring a couple of other projects to them. I went to Slipcovers Plus Upholstery after seeing their upholstery work on a friend’s couch and loveseat. I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job.
The couch I have was made by my Great-​Grandfather as a wedding present for my Grandparents. I have a matching chair, and then inherited a chair in a similar style from my in-​laws. Because of the family history I’ve been extremely nervous to have the reupholstering done even though I’ve had the couch for 15 years!
After speaking on the phone, I took one of the chairs into SPH to have a «consultation». Anthony was extremely nice and set me at ease about having the work done. I saw examples of their work and their professionalism. Anthony explained that I could order fabric from them or supply it myself, which was wonderfully honest. I made the decision right there to have them do the work. They even helped me get the chair back into my car!
The work that needed to be done on the furniture was extensive. My Mom let some water damage happen to the couch and the springs had come untied after several moves. The cushions on the couch were no longer any good. SPH had to completely rebuild the entire back of my couch. The cushions are comfortable but firm and the work is exceptional!
All three pieces were tuft buttoned across the back, and the button were all fabric covered, which is a ton of work. I chose a pattern for the couch and a stripe for the chairs. The pattern match on all of them is incredibly well done.
Even the gentlemen who picked up and delivered the couch were friendly and professional. I got the impression that one of the men also does slipcover or upholstery work when they dropped off the furniture. They were more careful with the furniture than the best movers I’ve had, and I’ve had some great movers! The price for pick-​up and return of my furniture was very reasonable as well.
I see a lot of slipcover reviews here so I wanted to add my upholstery review. They do an amazing job with reupholstering. If I ever have more business I will send it to them in a heartbeat!

When Ifirst met with Anthony in my home I knew I was in good hands. His knowledge of upholstery and the details of what would be done to my furnishings was at his fingertips. He was straightforward and answered my questions and addressed my concerns completely.
His crew arrived at my home at the scheduled time and moved the furniture out quickly. When the furniture was returned the crew was again on time and again worked quickly. The upholstery work far exceeded my expectations, it is better than new !!

made for it.

I have a sofa I got from Room & Board awhile ago. Between something wrong with the dye lot of the original fabric and plenty of years’ exposure to sun and cats, it really looked awful, despite getting almost zero use. Professional cleaning did nothing to help matters. I didn’t want to have to purchase a new sofa, so I started looking into slipcovers. I did all sorts of calling furniture stores and looking into pre-​fashioned slipcovers before I thought to look online for custom, and much to my surprise found Slipcovers Plus just down the street!
The only difficult part of this process was selecting a fabric, and that’s only because I’m indecisive. The folks at Slipcovers Plus were really helpful in making recommendations on fabric types that would work well over the original upholstery. Once I selected a fabric, everything else was smooth sailing. The fabric was ordered immediately and arrived in just a few days. (Also: I found the fabric online and just asked SP to price match so I could order through them, which they were happy to do.) Anthony came out soon thereafter to measure my sofa, and back in two weeks with a gorgeous, perfectly fitted slipcover. It looks more like I got this piece reupholstered than slipcovered, the fit is so perfect, and the velcro-​bottom gives it a particularly tailored look, IMO. Anyway… I love it! My neighbors and friends love it! My cats love it! And it’s like getting a new sofa for less than half the cost, as well as none of the hassle of moving furniture in/​out of my third floor condo. Can’t beat that.
This is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for slipcovers, and I’d use them for reupholstery as well. What a gem to find so close. I also really appreciate Anthony’s flexibility to come in the early evenings to measure/​fit, so that I could just leave work a little early rather than having to take a day off or work from home to meet him. Overall, great customer service, great workmanship, and really cost effective. I couldn’t be happier :)

I have a canvas club chair, matching ottoman and a brocade wing chair, all of which had been liberally «christened» over the years by two sick and elderly cats, and used frequently as a scratching post by a much younger one. And the sun had played its part too… in short, they didn’t look so great, even after a thorough professional cleaning.
After seeing some recommendations on here, I called Anthony at Slipcover Plus, who was great — he told me I could supply my own fabric and estimated how much of it I would need for each piece, also suggested types of fabric that would work best. Anthony’s father (I think, sorry!) then spent 3 hours at my home, meticulously measuring, pinning, and cutting the fabric, making sure it matched up with my furniture. A little more than two weeks later, Anthony delivered the finished slipcovers, put them on the furniture and steamed out the wrinkles.
Voila! The slipcovers look fantastic, fit perfectly, and are washable… all ready for a new generation of cats. Thanks, guys, for the prompt and excellent service! (Very reasonably priced, too.) I’ll be back again after my cats have done their worst.

I had a old chair which was in good condition, just needed a new cover. Decided on slipcovers and this place was recommended. Excellent choice. Bought my own fabric at Fishman’s in the South Loop (also a great choice). Anthony told me how much and he was exactly right. He came to my house, measured and cut the fabric so the chair stayed in the house. He said it would be two weeks and it was. He brought the slipcover back and it fit the chair perfectly. The fabric has a pattern, and he did an amazing job of lining up the pattern so it was even. So now I have a new chair for a fraction of the price of buying a chair. Well worth the investment.

The upholstery on our couch was pretty beat up but we really liked the style and it fit perfectly in the room. After many unsuccessful searches for a new couch we finally got in touch with Slipcover Plus. Anthony came by and helped us select a fabric and came back and measured etc. Now we have the couch we love only so much better. The custom slipcover is awesome.

I bought a couch at RH 5yrs ago and the fabric got dirty and stained. First of all, I contacted RH to see if they carry slip covers but they didn’t, so I called Slipcover Plus to make custom slipcover. Anthony came to our home to measure the couch and did a very professional job to make a beautiful slip cover! Now this couch looks very luxury and new again.
About the fabric, we chose own fabric at the store. You can also ask Slipcover Plus but I think it is cheaper to find yourself.

Slipcovers Plus made custom slipcovers for two love seats and a Lazy Boy swivel rocker chair in my Chicago home. They look wonderful. I couldn’t be more pleased! Thank you, Slipcovers Plus :)

We had a horrible chaise lounge chair that looked like something out of the 70s. We worked with Anthony, who spent over an hour at our house pinning the fabric. Who knew? The finished product looks like something out of Pottery Barn, for a fraction of the price. If you need anything recovered, this place is the way to go. It transformed a piece of garbage furniture (that I was going to give away) into a keeper.
