I visited Royal Grill last Thursday. First of all, I go out to lunch with a couple of friends once a week, looking for restaurants that fit the criteria of good food, good service, and decent atmosphere. Royal Grill delivered on all three. The waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly and made us feel right at home and to make things even better the owner came to or table to welcome us and tell us the history of the restaurant. Next the food was very good it was fresh and hot and very tasty. I got the bean soup which was awesome and I also got a patty melt which was very good was not greasy like some tend to be. everyone at our table enjoyed the meal. we will definitely be putting this on our revisit list because it was so good.

This place is all right… A coworker and I went here for something different. I had a Gyro… and it was stuffed to the max… I took out half the meat and saved it for later. The service was good… the prices not bad. I will go again… it’s a fine little diner… nothing over the top… In the simplest terms… your itch will get scratched! Get it?

I am a regular at Royal Grill, they are always very friendly and the owner is very helpful! I have never been disappointed. They have great quality food some of my favorites are the Greek salad with the pink Greek dressing which is delicious, there Cobb salad is always great and I love there grilled chicken pita! They make homemade salad dressings and it can’t be beat. I went there about 3 weeks ago and had a confusion with the size of my salad and fiancé salad, mine was much bigger and in a different container but they were suppose to be the same. The owner Rocky was awesome he gave us credit for the same salads the next time we came in and that right there is the reason I keep going back! Thanks Guys :))

because of royal grill, i have pretty much stopped eating at any other coney, particularly the ones nearby. they don’t compete. the menu at royal is 3 times the size of any other i’ve been to thus far. the variety can’t be beat. they also make the food the way you want it, substitutions and strange requests included. it’s pretty affordable, and more affordable when you consider how much food you’re getting. i always get the cajun dish that comes complete with bread and soup for takeout. one time, they took a little longer than usual and gave me an entire styrofoam box full of fries for free. couldn’t finish it! food is always delicious. i crave the cajun all the time, and i’ve also had almost everything fish-related on the menu. i’d recommend it all. i met the manager, who is a really nice man who was very devoted to the military. you will see military images all over the restaurant. i believe the photos are of him and his friends. great food, great people, the cooks even talk to me and crack jokes while they cook for me. i’ve never ever been disappointed. my favorite dish comes out just as good this time as the first time.

Royal Grill has become of my favorite restaurants. I live down the street from the place so i’m regular patron. You can dine in or order take out. They provide a variety of different meals from Coney favorites to dinner entrees and the prices are very resonable. I highly recommend the Chicken Alfredo, it is delicious! The food is always hot and fresh and the entire staff is very friendly and make sure you are enjoying yourself and your food. If you’re in the Oak Park area and want to find a place to eat, definitely try out the Royal Grill.
