As the mother of two disabled children I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Mickey’s. I used to come here almost every week growing up but I will NEVER step foot in here again AND I WILL be filing a complaint with the ADA today in addition to this review. Me and my friend came in on our lunch hour with my service dog in training only to get just a couple steps in and YELLED at to «get the hell out I don’t care what your reason is NOFUCKING dogs in my business!» I informed the guy that she is a service dog in training and he responded«I don’t fucking care get the hell out» to which I told him I would be filing a complaint with Oak Park AND the ADA to which he responded«I don’t fucking care file complaints wherever you want!» I left and took my business across the street. Sucks for Mickey’s cause we spent almost $ 50!!!

I am so sorry to say this but — we had not been here in a while and decided since in the area we would stop as the food WAS always good. Well do not know what happened but the burger had no flavor it was the 1⁄3 pound Mickeys with cheese and it was dry — the Greek Chicken dinner was just awful — it is to be marinated chicken that is grilled — this was chicken that was maybe grilled but they did not marinate it and then dumped WAY to much Italian dressing on it — maybe they should go to Central Gyros or Schwab’s and see what it is really supposed to taste like — We will no longer frequent this establishment as it is not worth the money they charge and well the expeditor or food bagger was just plain rude — Mickey’s what happened.

My first time here and the place seem kind of small but clean. The people seem friendly and they greet you. I ordered a gyro cheese burger with fries. The fries were really hard and tasted like bad grease but, my gyro cheese burger was great. I’ll go here again to try more food but, not the fries.

My first time here so i ordered the gyro plate, fries and large coke. For starters, I had to get rung up for the coke separate because the cashier didn’t add it to the order the first time. So total or gyro fries and Coke was just under $ 15. That’s a Little too expensive for this place. The gyro is soaked in grease and completely bland with hardly any taste or flavor. The fries look like McDonald’s fries but are just as bland as the gyro. To top it off the gyro was so greasy that the puddle of oil in my dish saturates all the fries. After noticing the pool of Grease in my to go box I ended up throwing out the rest of it. I won’t be visiting again

I was expecting this place to be a bit better. The Gyro I ordered just did not please my palet. We had some chicken with fries and honestly I would have enjoyed the food better at McDonalds. The place felt a bit dark. Not as inexpensive as other fast bood pleaces. I probably not come back.

Local, Fast, Good! I have been here a couple times and have had a friendly experience. People are nice and quick with orders. I have tried the mickeys burger which I would definitely order again! Great size for what they charge. Second time I tried the ½ chicken and that was a decent size as well. I do prefer my char grilled barbecue chicken a little more crispier. It does pass and I can’t wait to try more food items. It’s located across from a McDonald’s which in my opinion I’ll take Mickeys any day. The fries were nice and hot and came with enough for two! Yummy

This place is always a must visit when in the near west suburbs. Any kind of chicago food you want. Ribs, beef, Hot dogs, gyros, etc. Had my usual Big Mickey(½lb burger smothered in fried onions) shoestring fries and a coke for under $ 6. Fast friendly service. Will not disappoint!

I love this place! Last week I ordered the riblet dinner… I got home and had three days of food from it! Delicious! Tender! Flavorful! My gosh. I’ve loved this place for years thanks to my dad always going here and now my son and I are always there. The guys at the front are great. I love their accents. The one guy(maybe the owner) has been there since I was a child. His accent is awesome, it reminds of the guys at the auctions LOL! Great place to eat though. I usually get mine to go but in high school we would eat there. OHANDDONTLEAVEWITHOUT A MILKSHAKE! Oh gosh. I could write another review on the milkshakes alone haha!

The best Gyros in Chicago. George has a great operation. The food came out quick and it was amazing. I will be visiting here many times in the near future. I recommend you try it out. The owner came out to the dinning room to shake customers hands and to make sure they are happy. What a business!

Another Greek business in Oak Park so I’m biased. But Big Mickey(quarter pound cheeseburger) is so good, full rack of rib dinner special on Mondays and Tuesdays is «a Cadillac for a Chevy price» according the owner. I agree.

The prices might be cheap for the burgers but the quality is mediocre. My first time here burgers were dry kind of taste like they’ve been sitting out for a while. I ordered a gyro plate. the cook didn’t even cook the gyro meat or heat it up. It was like eating chunks of cold greasy gyro meat I had to reheat the meat up in the microwave when I got home… sadly disappointed..

Great ribs, and the sauce they use is really finger licking delicious. Had their big Mickey burger which i thought was pretty decent for costing so little. Not much fan of their gyro sandwich seemed too salty. Their banana shake was good although it did kind of taste like they used some kinda powder flavoring in it and not the real stuff.

Just happened to see this on my way to the Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio in Oak Park, IL(and DOGOTHERE!!!). Big sign said«GYROS» and I love a good gyro. Other Unilocalers gave it high marks for the riblets and gyros, so I foolishly ordered both… WAY too much food, but OMG scrumptious! Riblets were done to perfection, sauce was very nice(a bit too much of it for me, but it was GOOD). Gyro Salad was just as delicious, loved their home made tzaziki sauce(and plenty of it)

Pretty decent ribs. The guy behind the counter either looks like a bad Elvis impersonator/undertaker. It is quite entertaining. He has this drab look on his face like he is being put out to have to serve you. Thats all fine because you don’t have to deal with him long. The ribs are pretty good, reasonably priced, and come out pretty quick. Try the sandwich for great deal.

Oh Mickey, gyros so fine, gyros so fine they blow my mind Hey Mickey! Honestly folks I didn’t even have to think about that one. The setup is just TOOEASY. Good gyros(as stated previously) and awesome service, if you want to call it that. It’s actually just the register guy – who I’m fairly certain runs the joint – barking orders to the cooks, but he’s super amiable and genuinely values the customer. Apart from the shaved lamb meat, they feature charburgers for a buck and yummy banana shakes(even though I’m positive they’re made with powder). Fries are okay. Vast menu, cool people, and being located just a stone’s throw from my apartment building makes for one happy Eric S. They also gave me a bunch of tzatziki sauce with my to-go order, for which I am appreciative. Ooh what you do Mickey, do Mickey, Go make my shake, Mickey!

Some of the best ribs I have ever had! The meat was literally falling off the bone. I ordered the half slab dinner and completely forgot I even had other food on my plate. I finished the half and had to go get the other half. I’m going to regret all that food in half an hour but it was so good, I couldn’t stop. Absolutely delicious. The only reason for the 4 stars is because after eating, I went to use the restroom to wash my hands and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a couple days. The toilet was clogged and it could have used some TLC. Other than that, I will for sure be back here. Remember to come on a Monday or Tuesday for the Rib specials! It’s great!
