Massage by Bobbie

Bobbie is warm and exudes loving energy. I had an amazing massage with her. She listens and accommodates, but at the same time does what’s best for your aches and pains. She is the type of person who will put your mind at ease and your body at rest. If I could go weekly I would. But, I’ll just have to be content with going monthly. I am so lucky to have found her!

I was looking for a new massage therapist in Oak Park and found Bobbie online. I was a little hesitant that it was at her apartment, but the minute I walked in it felt very cozy. She uses a heat source called the Biomat and it does a great job at keeping me warm during the massage. Bobbie is wonderful at what she does. When I leave there my muscles feel great and I actually have to sit in the car for a few minutes after the massage because I feel so relaxed.

My husband got me a gift certificate for Massage by Bobbie as I really love massages. I was surprised at the location at first because he normally gets me spa gift cards, but he said she had really good reviews and I should try her out… It was one of the best gifts EVER!
Bobbie is probably the best masseuse I have ever had. She has really strong hands and seems to work out all the knots in my back with such ease. There’s a warm biomat under the sheets on the table, so even before the massage starts, you feel like you’re relaxing and melting into the table! The amazing part is really the next day, though. You feel like a completely different person walking around without all the stress in your body that you became accustomed to before you saw Bobbie.
Bobbie has such an inviting personality and her studio was even better than the set up that you would have at most spas — since the actual massage «room» was so spacious (unlike the small rooms that can only fit a table that you find at most spas). I can’t recommend her highly enough — she is so fantastic you have to try her yourself. [And there’s no referral credit or anything for this review, I just want to praise her for being such a true gift to her clients, and hope others can benefit as well by discovering her.]

an unexpected experience…
I usually get cold feet getting a massage as 95% of the time i get disappointed, but not with Boobie. this is a wow experience, its my first time having a massage in a condo which was a much better experience then most stores i have been at. She created a relaxing environment that will make you disconnect and relax from whatever you have on your mind, but most important she is amazing working out your stress body!!!

Bobbie is by far the best therapist I’ve encountered. Due to an accident many years ago; I suffer from both Cervical and Lumbar herniations with headaches to boot.
The combination of Bobbie’s massage and the Biomat the client lays on (check out the info on Biomat!) have given me extended pain reduction as well as a boost in energy.
Can’t recommend her highly enough. If you suffer from Chronic pain; do yourself a favor and book an appointment!

Bobbie is amazing, I seriously had one of the best massages of my life here. Everything about my experience was fantastic. I was a little nervous about going to an in-​home massage situation but it was absolutely nothing to be nervous about and was every bit as relaxing as going to a spa. She also worked my shoulders so well I could, literally, feel the knots releasing.
Bobbie has such a nice set up, nice calming colors on the walls, ambient spa-​like music, plus her table was softer than any massage table I’ve ever been on. She’s super professional and really easy to talk to as well!

I had a one of the best massages of my life here. Bobbie came recommended by my physical therapist, which I think speaks volumes.
Bobbie is professional, very experienced and knew exactly what to do. I was in a car accident and she really helped me a lot, I’m feeling a lot better and I’m definitely going back to see her again.

It may seem sketchy to go to someone’s apartment for a massage, but Bobbie is extremely professional, her apartment is in a nice location, and it was very clean.
When I got there, Bobbie asked why I had come in and I let her know some of my concerns and what was going on in my life, and the massage started shortly after. She really worked my back hard, but after the massage, all the tension I had previously felt, and didn’t even know I had, was gone! It was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders.
Bobbie is really nice and professional, and if you’re looking for a relaxing massage, she is definitely the person you want to see!

What a wonderful experience! I went in with very tense shoulders and a tension headache and came out feeling loose and headache-​free. The hot stones are a wonderful addition to what is an already fantastic deep-​tissue massage. Bobbie works out of her home, and it was just as professional and serene as any spa I’ve been to. Definitely go to Bobbie if you need (or just want) a great massage. I’ll be back!

My daughter gave me a gift certificate for a massage by Bobbie based in the overwhelming «good as it gets!» reviews for her Oak Park based salon. I have been getting massages as frequently as on a weekly basis over the past 30 years and I must say that Bobbie is the best massage therapist I have ever had! She is not only extremely knowledgeable but very personable as well. If you really want to know what is like to experience a highly professionally executed relaxing massage, Bobbie is the person to see.

I scheduled a massage for me and my husband. She did a fantastic job. I have lots of knots and while she didn’t show mercy in working them out, she was still «gentle». The music playing was really nice and she offers you a water, room temp or cold, afterwards. We will both return. She does work out of her apt which is small so we couldn’t wait at her apt for each other but it was no problem because turns out we live across the street. However, if you don’t live nearby, I did notice an ottoman in the hallway.

I was given a gift certificate for a massage by Bobbie. One of the best massages I’ve ever had. She incorporates hot stone and aromatherapy and focuses on problem areas, which for me, was a pinched nerve in my neck. All gone! Best of all, she could take me with 30 minute notice on the same day and she works 2 blocks from me.
I’ll go back for sure.

Bobbie was able to schedule me an appointment on short notice. The massage was extremely relaxing and left me feeling refreshed. Not to mention the tension in my shoulders was gone. I will definitely be back.

I had a lingering shoulder injury from moving some furniture, so I went to Bobbie to see if she could help. She spent about 45 of the 60 minutes on my shoulder, which I really appreciated. To be honest, it was not enjoyable, AT ALL. She found knots and spots that I didn’t even know were in there! She apologized for the pain of the work, though, and assured me that it would help my shoulder heal faster.
What do you know, she was right! The day after my massage, my shoulder felt better than it had in weeks. And a few days later, it felt totally back to normal! This was after a month of constant pain and discomfort that never let up. Bobbie really performed a miracle, and I will definitely be going back to her for a more relaxing massage, now that I’m injury free.
Lastly, I’ll echo what other people said about the location: please don’t let the apartment setting throw you. I, too, was a little worried when I pulled up. I thought, «Maybe she’s running some kind of scam where her boyfriend jumps out of the closet once I’m on the table and mugs me!» But she’s the real deal – completely professional, with a soothing personality and excellent massage technique. Give her a try!

I am so glad I went on Unilocal and found Bobbie. I have been to her twice and both times got a 60 min head to toe restoration massage — it included hot stones, deep tissue massage all over, face and scalp massage, and some aromatherapy at the end during the face massage. I tell her to focus on my neck and upper back because as a student, I spend most of my day hunched over a desk studying. I feel a million times better after her massages. The massages are thoroughly relaxing, clearly relieve my stress and loosen my muscles. I plan to return to her soon and would not even think of going to anyone else to get a massage!
Do not be put off by the fact that she does the massages out of an apartment building. She has an area in an apartment that is completely dedicated to her services.

Last week, I had one of those weeks that ended on Friday with needing a massage «right now». I saw Bobbie on Unilocal and her great reviews so gave her a call. She called me back quickly and got me in within 30 minutes. Bobbie is very kind, pleasant, and the atmosphere in which she does the massages is very relaxing. The best part about this great find, though is that this was the BEST massage I’ve ever had. And I’ve gotten a lot of massages around the country, but this was hands down the best. Pressure was perfect, the face/​head massage was divine, the warm towel was just what I didn’t know I needed… the whole experience was relaxing and made me feel like a whole new person. Bobbie has a customer in me for as long as I live here and I’ve been recommending her to everyone. I’m so glad I found her!

Masseuse: I don’t know Bobbi’s parents, but I would like to personally thank them for making such a wonderfully gifted woman. She’s knowledgeable, personable, talented, spiritually and socially conscious, delightfully generous, and surprisingly… all of this comes wrapped up in an authentically beautiful woman. Considering my line of work; I pick up on people’s vibes quickly, easily, and for the most part, accurately. Bobbi is the real thing, let me assure you. People rarely agree on anything, and all of these 5 Star ratings are no coincidence. So go ahead– do your mind, body, and soul a HUGE favor and book an appointment with Bobbi. You can thank me later !!!

I was in dire need of some relaxation and restoration and turned to Unilocal for a recommendation. Between the reviews and her proximity, it seemed like a good choice.
And I was not to be disappointed! Bobbie is charming, inviting and welcoming — which only enhances her excellent skills. The massage was amazing, truly amazing. She focused in the area of my upper back where I tend to carry most of my stress, working every inch until the knots and tension melted away.
I found the setting relaxing — much more so than a commercial spa. Everything was perfect, from the hot stones to the calming music…
I loved every moment and will book her again!

Bobbie did a nice job. As stated by a previous review, she was very professional given the fact that the office is her condo. I was comfortable the entire time.
I came in with a pretty nasty snowboarding accident that locked up my back. There is no doubt in my mind that she helped aid in the recovery.
I was able to call her at 10AM on a Tuesday and was on the table by 11AM — awesome!
