Ok place. I don’t like when they stop to talk though as you are charged per minute.

I have been coming here now for the past 6 months and look forward to it every time. The people are great. Location is great. I would have given 5 stars if I hadn’t been double booked and rushed out the past 2 times. I don’t believe I received the full treatment. The person before me and after probably didn’t receive full treatment either. Other then the booking issues, this place is a gem!

I go see Kelly because her treatments are always meticulously clean and I know for certain that any problem hair is going to be gone. She adds a level of service above and beyond caring sincerely about comfort while she works. I highly recommend her.

I began seeing Kelly about a year ago after a referral and some research. Kelly is a really knowledgeable practitioner and a respected leader in her profession. She takes her trade craft very seriously. She is doggedly up to date on the technology, has extensive experience across case types, and is fastidious about the cleanliness of her shop and sterility of the work zone.
I would recommend Kelly to anyone who wanted a fair appraisal of the process, a skilled technician to perform it, and a sterile space in which to have it done.

While here on vacation I had a wonderful facial and brow waxing. My brows are shaped perfectly and my skin feels amazing! The technician I had Stephanie was very professional and really knew what she was doing. Plus, the place was very clean. Will definitely go back if I’m in the area and would highly recommend this place.

I had one of the worst experiences ever. I recommend that no one comes here. They are unclean, use utensils that are not sanitized, and pretends that they are professional.

I highly recommend Kelly and her staff! I have been to Kelly, Inc. for both electrolysis and facials. The services are top-​notch and the atmosphere is happy and cozy. I don’t think there is anyone out there who knows more about hair than Kelly does. She has freed me from a lifetime of brow-​tweezing!

I’ve been going to Kelly, Inc. Electrolysis & Spa for electrolysis on my face every two weeks, since April. From the first time I went to their office, I was fully informed about hair cycles and new growths. In addition, what you shouldn’t do with new hair growths (shaving, tweezing, threading, shaving machine, etc.). The staff in general are sweet and professional as well. I started working with Francis. She’s a joy to work with. She is nice, funny, blunt, and understanding. I’m still doing my treatments with her.
If anyone needs hair removed, please give Kelly, Inc. a try. I think it’ll be worth it ;)

I saw Kelly for almost six years and I can never come up with enough complaints to describe how great she is. From the beginning she was completely honest about the time line but she explained that if I was patient we could conquer my unwanted facial hair. I started out with one hour weekly visits which turned into 15 minutes once a month.
I am glad to say that I have not seen Kelly in about two years now! Wooohooo! My Cousin and Aunt are now clients.

I’ve used Kelly and Stacy for electrolysis for about the past 8 years. I’m trans. I started electrolysis in 2006 with what Kelly stated was the thickest beard she had ever seen. Since then, I’m had over 250 hours of electrolysis with NO scarring. Kelly treated me for over 200 hours. Stacy treated me for over 50 hours. The environment is confidential, clean, and sterile. It’s not painless. But you can use topical analgesics for that.
Electrolysis is not a quick fix for unwanted hair. It can take years if you have a lot of hair. This is especially true for male to female transsexuals. There are regrowth cycles and some hair will reappear. That’s just the way skin and hair work. Anyone who tells you otherwise is simply not telling the whole truth. Everyone is different. So I can only speak about my experiences.
There is a reason that Kelly has earned a reputation as one of the best electrologists in Illinois. Her work is just that good. She trained Stacy and Stacy has learned well.
I have no problems at all recommending Kelly and Stacy for all of your electrolysis needs.

This is an update of my previous Kelly, Inc. review. I’m writing because I feel personally insulted by reviewer DS who claims that good reviews here must «all be from friends». It really upsets me when nasty people use Unilocal like this, to settle some kind of personal score or vent their frustrations.
Everyone gets different results from various hair removal programs. Some swear by laser, which didn’t benefit me at all. Me, I’m getting great results from Kelly’s electrolysis. Nobody is coercing me to say that.
I’ve worked with Kelly for a couple years, and then with Stacey for the last 18 months. Yes, blue hair and all. I might note that DS neglected to mention that Stacey’s hair is sometimes green. Or magenta. Yep. Funny thing is, regardless of the color, she’s a super-​friendly person, and excellent technician. Just imagine that.
Its worth pointing out that skin care during treatment is also the subject’s responsibility. Cleanliness, moisturizing, and healing treatments are necessary. Did DS ask anyone at Kelly, Inc. why they were getting these so-​called scars, and what should be done to prevent or alleviate them? It sure doesn’t sound like it.
Its also worth mentioning that Kelly just got recognized by the Electrology Association of Illinois for excellence. She is respected by her professional peers, and a pillar of the transgender community, which has very special and demanding electrolysis needs.

I could’ve sworn I gave this place a review a while ago, but it must not have gone through before — but this is the place to go to for Electrolysis!
I hated the unwanted hair I had so I decided to get it permanently removed in the fall of 2011. I initially went shopping around to a couple places to get my unwanted hair removed — and permanently! The first place I went to I was just in pain the whole entire time and I couldn’t even tell that any hair was removed aside from my skin breaking out profusely! Then I settled on another place on the north side, but after a few months I would have very little hair removed — just small patches here and there. Plus the pain and skin irritation was still there! She was a very nice person, but I didn’t like how she would answer the phone during our sessions — taking up the time I’m paying for — and of course I hated the pain and all the bumps on my face! Her timer also seemed to go faster than any normal clock :/​
So I attempted to venture out again and try another hair removal place that was more on my way to work and came across Kelly’s place.
I could immediately tell a difference even before I got my electrolysis done. They were knowledgeable, approachable, and professional. They explained to me exactly what was being done, how to tell if a hair was removed incorrectly, and had a policy that no calls are taken during sessions — automatic brownie points! lol
I’ve been going to see Nelida — who is the sweetest! She cleared my face of hair within 2 – 3 1 hour sessions, which we did a ‘happy dance’ to lol. That was the first time my face had ever been cleared. I was finally seeing the progress with each session, I did not break out as much (the bumps were going away!), and she tried to make it as less painful as possible. I brought the cream now that numbs my skin wherever I get electrolysis, but she still tries to make me as comfortable as possible which I really greatly appreciate.
I’ve also been to see Kelly before when Nelida wasn’t available. I also have tried Stacy and they both are great! They take very good care of you and are very understanding.
One note is that they are a tad more expensive then the other places I’ve been to for electrolysis, but hey, they are far better at what they do! Given as much as they do to make you feel comfortable and given all of my hair that is FINALLY gone, I have no problem spending a bit more as they are very much worth the money. Plus, you can purchase blocks of time in advance for a discount if you’re really concerned about it!
If you have hair you don’t want, don’t waste your time elsewhere and just go to Electrolysis by Kelly!

What more can I say… Talented woman who really understands her customers. Fair prices, clean office and years of experience.

I’ve had unwanted stubborn hair and tried getting rid of it by waxing, laser, and finally hit the jackpot when I found Kelly for electrolysis. I called her for a consultation and was very pleased to hear her understanding voice on the other end, as well as her profound knowledge on electrolysis. More than anything, I was pleased to find such a warm, friendly, and driven professional after all her years of experience, whose goal was to truly make a difference in people’s lives. I knew that I made the right choice when I became her client, immediately feeling the comfort that she understood the horrid way that unwanted hair consumed my every day conscious. Kelly is so in tune with all of her clients. She is extremely detail oriented, skilled, and has an awesome down to earth personality. Her work is unbelievable. My unwanted hair is gone forever. This woman has truly made a difference for me and has changed my life. I have had such a remarkable experience and recommend her hands down.

First of all, Kelly has moved (April 2010) to the Allure Spa on Oak Park Avenue. Let’s face it, getting your hair zapped isn’t the most fun in the world, but Kelly makes it fun. She’s got the nicest personality, has great music playing, and makes sure you are as comfortable as possible during the process. I think her prices are reasonable.
