I took my 16 year old son to Frank’s after he got butchered at another hair cutting shop in town and Kevin Ham did such a fantastic job, I could not believe my eyes. Kevin let him keep it long and did something called a blow out, which was retro cool. Unlike before, my kid now actually likes to get his hair cut, and has me set up appointments for him to see Kevin. The best thing is that Kevin is versatile and can modify the cut for whatever style you want. He really is a master barber. It is a joy to see his work. So happy we found him.

Frank’s Barber Shop has been around forever. I remember my mother taking my brother there over 25 years ago. Now, I have been taking my son(who is 4 yrs. old) to Frank’s barber shop for over 6 months. We left another shop because the barber would stop and talk and stop and talk causing us to have to be there longer than necessary. And my son would always come out with cuts on his head from being lined up. From the first time we went to Frank’s it was a pleasant experience. We went to the first chair open which was Joshua in the 3rd chair. He was very patient with my son and got us in and out. He also took care to understand how I wanted his hair to look. I’m never disappointed. Now he’s also cutting my hair and I get so many compliments from both men and women. I usually go on a Tuesday or Wednesday because there is less of a crowd. But Joshua is good about setting a time for me to come if I end up waiting until the weekend to include on Sundays. I haven’t been to any of the other barbers but they all seem to do a good job and are all very respectful and professional. The atmosphere of the shop is perfect for me as a woman. There’s no offensive language or music in there. It’s just an overall great experience. This is your spot if you’re looking around for the perfect shop.

My very first haircut in Chicago, or in the United States for that matter happened today at Frank’s Barber Shop. I spent weeks on deciding where to get my hair cut since I’m new here. Wasn’t sure how it would turn out like so I was kind of hesitant to just go out and get one. Until one day I was like forget it, I’m getting my hair cut today whatever happens, so I searched google and franks was the first on the list. And it was just 0.5 miles away from where I was. I called them, they answered right away, found out they were open and went straight to them. A person asked me what I wanted in a polite and inviting way, pointed me to Al(the beautician who did my hair, a good and friendly man) and a couple a mins later, it was done. And I really loved it! Wasn’t disappointed at all. The offered excellent service, the place was neat and I felt comfortable as well. They don’t ask much too, especially how good you’d look like after getting your hair cut from them. To be honest, I felt like a kid getting ready for prom and getting the hair cut that I wanted haha very satisfied with everything. Haven’t tried other barber shops, but I have to say that franks is definitely one of the best. Again, thanks Al for the great cut! Ill definitely be coming back. Double thumbs up!

I went to Frank’s last month for the first time and there was one hell of a line. There were 5 barbers and 15+ people waiting. I sat down and immediately this one barber asked if I wanted a hair cut and that he was ready for me. I said ok thinking«Great»…I found out why later. This young barber gave me one of the worst haircuts I have ever had(and I had a wedding to go to that evening). I went home, took a shower, and saw that my hair was totally uneven on the top and on the back. I called up the barber shop and spoke to Frank. He was very curtious and asked me to come back and he would fix my hair. Frank took me as soon as I came back in and gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. Thank you Frank… you have a loyal customer now.

One of the best barber shops in Oak Park. The guys that work there are very friendly, engage you in conversation, get you in and out, and don’t charge a lot for a haircut. Al, the barber in the first chair, works fast, is professional, and makes you look really good when he is done. (I haven’t utilized any of the other barbers but from what I’ve seen, they are all professional and know what they are doing.) Best bets are to go there any day except Friday night and Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.
