First Peek Ultrasound

Overall, amazing experience. I purchased the HD first peek package, and I am more than satisfied with my pictures and the customer service I received from Mallory and a tech she was training (forgot her name). I visited first peek while 26 weeks pregnant, with my first child. At the beginning of my session, my baby wouldn’t settle into a good viewing position. Both techs were extremely patient and allowed extra time for the baby to move around to capture great pictures!

Could have been a much better experience, but ultimately I went to find out the baby’s gender and get the teddy bear with the heartbeat, and that’s what I got.
What was cool–
The techs (Valeria and Lorena) were great. Valeria especially took her time and was extremely nice. Lorena was very good at getting my baby in a position to see the sex.
I think the experience helped my toddler better understand what’s going on with my pregnancy.
Teddy bear with baby’s heartbeat ($ 25) was a win! Free 3D picture with the package.
They are prompt, which is great when you have a full bladder. Be advised they are so prompt because if you’re late, or do not confirm your appointment the day before, you will have to wait or reschedule. Fair enough.
Not so cool–
We drove almost an hour totally excited to discover the gender only to be told that since I was three days (THREE DAYS) away from 15 weeks, they wouldn’t tell me the sex. I saw a pretty clear picture indicating the sex and I’m no professional, so I know they could have gone ahead and told me. Policy is policy though, and I can understand that. But why let me book the appointment and drive with my family that far just to make me come back three days later? The manager explaining everything was condescending and not very understanding when we were clearly disappointed.
The manager kept saying «with that being said, policy this» and «with that being said, policy that.» Her rationale was that the policy was on the clipboard when I came in. I’m sorry, that does NOT help me, now that we’ve driven almost an hour only to be told we have to make a second trip. Totally bogus. Unprofessional.
The person that booked my appointment was also rude. I let her know their mobile site was being glitchy and she insinuated I just didn’t know how to operate the site. Sheesh. I think she could have explained to me that if I came before 15 weeks, they would not disclose the gender, instead of giving me attitude.
They did not charge us for second visit but I feel there shouldn’t have had to be a second trip in the first place. Nothing was offered to make up for that.
I did receive the free DVD for Unilocal check in (nice.) It was the very short second visit though, not the first long one with lots of 3D (bummer.)
Summary– customer service from everyone but the techs leave much to be desired but the services they offer are pretty worth it. Be sure to read all policies and fine print and be on time BEFORE booking, because they won’t communicate their policies to you personally or compensate you for a poor experience.

My husband and I cane here this past Saturday for a gender scan. I am 17 weeks. We had Erta and she was amazing. She cracked jokes and made our little bundle of joy seem so important. We did not feel rushed at all. We found out that we are expecting a little girl! I will be back further in my pregnancy for another 3D ultrasound! I highly recommend this place and Erta.

The place is big however it very dirty, filty and the receptionist is very unprofessional she calls you off and ask you questions half way thru the entrance, not even looking at you! The pictures I received where blurry even though the Tech was amazing! Not worth it paying for the premium package. I was really expecting a different customer service and experience I was very disappointed!!! Won’t be returning.

I had a WONDERFUL experience at First Peek. This is my second pregnancy, so I’ve been to a similar place with my first child, but can’t even compare both places to each other.
My husband and I went in for a Gender reveal. Our tech Lorena was AMAZING! she was super patient, as the baby had the cord between the legs, she was sweet and took her time and told us the gender with the biggest smile on her face. It was an unforgettable day! Thank you First Peek!!!

About it, made me walk around and gave me some juice to get the baby moving.
I didn’t feel like I was been rushed or like I wasn’t gonna get a good pic.

My husband and I came here for the first time yesterday for a gender reveal session. I am 15 weeks pregnant, and this is the earliest one can come in for gender reveal. For our first child, we did not find out the gender before she was born, so this was an entirely new experience for us. Mallory, our technician, was very friendly, professional, and nice. Right away, she could tell it was a boy. Gender reveal is only $ 59/​session — typically, one has to wait until their 20 week anatomy scan to find out the gender, so if you are anxious to know, I would highly recommend First Peek Ultrasound. It is a cutesy place, and the bed the mama lays on is quite large and comfortable. Thank you, Mallory for a wonderful experience. I also appreciate the online scheduling option, Sunday appointments, and easy parking in lot.

I had such a wonderful experience both with my son almost 5 years ago and this time with my second child. My tech was Mallory, and I am so glad it was her! She was beyond amazing and patient since my little one was so active. She made sure we received some really clear pictures and obviously knew what she was doing to ensure we had a great experience. Mallory and Raquel, the receptionist, were so friendly and accommodating. Thank you for such a pleasant experience!

My husband and I enjoyed our experience here. We did the 10 minute gender appointment, so we knew it wasn’t going to be a long drawn out appointment. Our tech, Erta, was great. She was so bubbly and helped put us at ease. She pointed out all parts of the baby, and showed us many different angles. It was really cool to see our little one kicking, bouncing and moving around… and then to find out the gender (with a good view that she explained what she was seeing) made our time there memorable. I’d recommend to others!

Erta was great! As a first time mom I couldn’t wait to find out what my little man would look like. The whole experience was wonderful. I highly recommend it to expecting parents and family members.

This was such a memorable moment as first time parents and Erta was wonderful! We are so blessed to be having a baby girl! but the greatest moment was just seeing the baby and Erta just explaining all the parts of her precious body!

I came in today with my son and sister-​in-​laws for a gender check ultrasound. My baby was curled up tight and face down but the technician Mallory was very gentle and patient with me. She gently pushed to get the baby moving but the baby still wouldn’t move. After reading previous reviews I expected her to say «oh well too bad, come back another day,» but she actually sent me out to the waiting area to walk around for a while and gave me juice and chocolate to stimulate the baby. When I went back into the room the baby was more active but refused to uncross its legs. It took a while but she eventually got a view of my baby’s gender. It’s a girl! My son sighed (he wanted a brother) but was still happy to know. I got prints, a CD and a DVD but the pictures aren’t as clear as I expected. I think that’s mostly because the baby was in a bad position most of the time not to mention I’m only 18 weeks and the baby is quite skinny. I loved how Mallory referred to my baby as being «a little lady» due to her crossing her legs the whole time. I plan to come back in a few months once my baby has a little more meat on her bones so we can get some better pictures. I’ll make sure to ask for Mallory because she truly made this a great experience!

Had a 2^nd gender scan at 18 weeks after having gone to the belly factory just to confirm and I was blown away by this place. It is very comforting and inviting and the techs were so nice. We have an HD scan scheduled for next month here!

I wish I could remember the name of our tech! She was fabulous, so sweet and very excited for us. She was very patient and took her time letting us really look at the baby. We found out we’re having a boy at 18 weeks (I was tired of waiting for my medical ultrasound at 20 weeks). I would recommend FPU to anyone looking for a non-​medical ultrasound experience.

Had our appt at this location to simply verify gender and get some baby shots. The staff was courteous, professional, and overall warm. Marta was very patient with our baby and we walked out satisfied with our visit. I’d definitely recommend this as a regular ultrasound will usually leave you wanting more. This place allows you to get that.

After my 19 week Ultrasound at the hospital we could not be sure what our babies gender was… she had said 70% sure it was a boy but it could be the cord not the penis.
So my amazing sister-​in-​law called 1^st Peek and we got an apt that same day 1 hour later :) it was super fast! And it was obvious what my babies gender was with in seconds. My baby had his face covered with his feet and hands but all i wanted to know was the sex so i was happy. I didnt pay for anything extra so we paid around $ 49 plus tax! My insurance is amazing and I dont pay any copays or anything so i didnt mind paying what i did :) Thanks Nadia she was very pleasant!
And you get a pink or blue ballon as well… its the lil things that make me happy!

My sister-​in-​law recommended this place. I went at 28 weeks, booked it with Erta and the whole experience was great. We immediately fell in love with 3D pictures. Husband loved it so much we went again at 36 weeks, booked with Erta. We werent’ sure if our baby would cooperate at 36 weeks but she did, Erta was very patient. I highly recommend for pregnant mommies to get 3D pictures here. Husband and I had great experience.

A-​OK sums it up perfectly.
My husband and I went for our gender determination and then returned a week later to procure several additional heartbeat bears for the eager big sibs. Overall, both experiences were fine, but I was hardly blown away.
The gender determination went well (and by all accounts, has been correctly verified – everyone is fairly confident we’re having a baby girl), but the tech was a little, I don’t know, seemingly disinterested? By no means were we looking for fanfare, but we both definitely had the impression that there were half a dozen places she’d rather be. The images came out fine and it was amazing to see our beautiful baby, but at the end of the day, it was just a bit lackluster from start to finish. We chalked up the first experience to the fact that maybe she was just having an off day, but for our second run at First Peek, we wound up feeling that maybe it wasn’t just an off day after all.
Regardless, I have no real complaints about the images or the service received, but a warmer bedside manner couldn’t possibly hurt, you know? We actually had a longer u/​s scheduled for some 3D images and cancelled it in the hope we’d find someplace that was a… better fit (we did – check out my reviews for further information on that). Overall, a solid three stars. Nothing more and nothing less.

I decided to have a 3d Ultrasound after we had no luck finding out the sex of our baby at our normal 20 week Ultrasound. I found First Peek Ultrasound on google and it was the closet place to get one done so I made the appointment. After reading the other reviews on this place i was a little apprehensive about going to my appointment.
I am 22 weeks along and really wanted to know the sex of our baby so we decided to go anyway. We arrived yesterday at the appointment at 4:45. The receptionist was really friendly. She gave me two sheets to fill out and let me know that we would be waiting a few minutes for the Ultrasound before me to finish up. The office is kind of small, but really comfy. They had a place for my daughter to play which kept her busy while we waited.
When it was our turn to go in I was happy that there were two big flat screens for us to watch. Erta was our tech. She was very nice. She told us right away that we were having a girl. She checked more than once to make sure she was right. She did a great job of explaining everything that was going on. She spent good time showing us every part of the baby, not just her face. We got good shots of the baby yawning, rubbing her eyes, stretching her feet and legs. It was beautiful! So happy that we went. We got the complete package, which was kind of pricey but it was well worth it to have all of the images and the session on DVD. I will say that out of 72 pictures maybe 20 of them are really hard to make out, but those are not the ones we got printed. Overall it went well.
