For over 35 years Palermo’s on 95th Street has earned renown as a venerable Southside institution for it’s classic Italian cuisine, exceptional service and charming atmosphere. Beware– the dine in prices for the EXACT same pizza is about 4 – 5 dollars higher than the take out prices. We ordered the special with sausage, mushrooms, onions, and bell peppers. We added spinach, big mistake the spinach was $ 5 extra and it was too much spinach. Overall the pizza was very good!

I went here by myself on a Thursday at 2 pm, like nobody does. I saw that I can get Italian Beef with a side of pasta, for just $ 8. That’s actually a solid deal. A puny cup of soda costs $ 3.50, so I just got water instead. I had a great time eating there! Maybe you should stop calling for delivery on a Friday night or dining in on a Sunday afternoon and see that it’s a legit experience coming in for lunch. Discounts and everything. JUST DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON’T BUY SODA.
The servers are nice.

One of the best Italian Restaurants on the Southside. The Pizza is the best and Polenta and Sausage is excellent. Baked Clams are also excellent. The Pasta is very good along with the stuffed pepper with sausage. The Braciole is fair because I don’t like the prosciutto as a stuffing. The bread and olive oil is good. The service is not good. If you go to an Italian restaurant you don’t order fish. Over all I give it a grade of A or A+.

Place is good has good pizza prices are a little high. Delivery is reasonable during weekdays. However on weekends it is almost impossible to get through on the phone and or it is busy and you have to call back which can be frustrating. I know they make alot of money but you are also losing alot when customers call and nobody answers and then they decide to go with another pizza place. You guys should definitely increase your work force and get a few extra phone lines over there.

Sausage And Pepper Appetizer Is Phenomenal.
Chicken Parmesan And Chicken Vesuvio Are An Incredible Choice For Dinners. You Won’t Be Disappointed. Excellent Service And Believe It Or Not… Some Of the Best Coffee I Ever Had. The Desserts Are A Perfect Cap.
I Been Going To Palermos Since I Can Remember, The Original On 63rd, And I Have Never Been Dissapointed.

Moved to Oak Lawn less than a month ago. Ordered delivery tonight and was easily impressed. Friendly phone service, fast delivery, very friendly delivery person. Did I mention the pizza was amazing?!? Ordered half sausage/​half pepperoni. Had a delightfully sweet note to the sauce. Crust was crispy. Toppings were fresh. Cheese was more than adequate.
Out go-​to pizza spot from now on.

Best pizza ever. In my opinion. Too bad there isn’t a location in Portland. The sauce is nice and tangy, crust is soft and crispy at the same time. It’s my family’s favorite and they have always treated us very very well.

So I travel the nation for my work and rely on Unilocal for my food choices. I love Italian and I have never in my life had better food and better service than Palermos! You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, however by far the best pizza I have ever had. Try the Shrimp Olegaria they just added to the menu. It’s pretty amazing.

Another regular place for us that I haven’t yet reviewed. We came in on a Friday night after a wake. The World Series game, Hawks game, and Bulls game were all on, so we asked for the remaining seat in the bar and were seated right away.
The pizza was as good as we expected here. The service wasn’t the fastest, but it was packed, so the service was as good as is could be expected. We were never thirsty and the bread tided us over until our pizza came.
This is it when it comes to pizza on the southside!

2 stars only because takeout pizza is good. restaurant and customer service terrible. We order pizza from here regularly because they do have good pizza. However make sure you confirm your order because 50% of the time they will get it wrong!
I have eaten inside the restaurant a few times. Prices are too high for the quality of the food. As for customer service, staff is less than attentive and we had a particular bad experience. I dined in with my children and my husband one day and we ordered pizza and some appetizers. I ordered pop in kids cup just to avoid spills thinking they would be priced like other restaurants… we eat in restaurants regularly with our kids and know what the typical charge is. When we got the bill each one was charged at $ 3.50! This was displayed nowhere on the menu. I even checked the menu again after I saw the charge. When we brought it to our waiters attention he apologized (like he knew it was ridiculous) & said he’d get in trouble if he didn’t charge full price so he called the manager. A guy came out with a very bad attitude and pretty much said that’s what it is and that’s what it’s always been and then stood there with a blank stare. Our bill even without the pop. for a pizza, appetizers and my husbands beer. was over $ 70. I have no problem paying for what we order however I feel this was an excessive charge and should be made clear when ordering, or at least displayed clearly on the menu!!! We will never dine in their restaurant ever again due to the managers poor attitude. Horrible customer service.

Had my bridal shower here… first off love going to the restaurant always a nice and enjoying experience. The food is great whether you do catering, take out, eat in or use the banquet hall. However when we had the shower we felt the staff was so rude and we felt rushed with everything. That is why I give it 3⁄5 stars. If the staff doesn’t want to serve people on a Sunday shower maybe they should find people that do. I asked for a glass of wine and the server looked at me as if I asked her to drop down and give me twenty. Not to mention although the food is great the décor isn’t that nice. The restaurant is pretty and what you expect for a nice Italian place. If I were them I would update the décor and improve there service. Won’t be booking any occasions there in the future.

Recent visit was better than the previous one. Lasagna did not disappoint. Delicious cappicola on the antipasti plate. Good service, but no forks on the table. Wait staff promptly brought forks when notified. Palermo’s remains a fave.

I wanted to check out a new pizza spot & for months the place has been on my to do list, so tonight we decided to dine in. The place was filled on a Sunday night at 6pm so there was a bit of a wait. We decided to sit at the bar table. It took our food about 30−45mins to come out, but it was piping out & fresh. I can appreciate that. We got pizza regular crust. The sweet sauce was different. Not sure if I’m a yay or nay with that. But I enjoyed the food. Our server was EXCELLENT! !!! I’ll definitely go back & maybe try something other than pizza next time.

First time eating in at this Palermo’s.
I had a very pleasant experience — no complaints.
Lots of hustle and bustle with both customers and employees… to be expected on a Saturday evening during the holiday season. I went with the eggplant rollatini — loved them! 4 rolls… or was it 3? Gah! Pardon me for lack of remembering. In either case, I enjoyed the dish. Family friend had a fairly large dish of pasta with vegetables and shrimp, he enjoyed his dish as well.

Depends what you’re going for– the thin crust is great, one of the best in the city, the crust is soft which i like, and the sauce has a little sweetness to it that i really enjoy, however i do not like the deep dish, it’s way too much crust and too filling
in terms of other food, the swordfish was solid, and the sausage filled peppers were great as an app, if you want to dine in go to the location on 95th, it’s way nicer and bigger than the other one

ok at first i didn’t want 2 write a horrible review, but it seems like one of my issues with palermo’s is pretty consistent across the board. i had an early lunch so the place was practically dead. no problem becuz i was expecting amazing service. but i was definitely wrong. our server didn’t get 2 us 4 another 15 min. it took 4ever 4 our food 2 come. and she didn’t check up on us once. i even had 2 go 2 the bar myself 2 ask 4 a beer.
the food was ok. i ordered the chicken cavatappi. good food. weak service.
