History
Established in 2011.
Owner, Vera Ambuehl, became passionate about helping local business owners adapt to the integration of mobile technology with the Internet after learning about Local Internet Marketing in the Fall of 2010.
Prior to that, she discovered Copywriting in 2005, then was introduced to Internet Marketing. Since that time she has spent countless hours (and tens of thousands of dollars) in the pursuit of knowledge from recognized leaders in the industry. She is dedicated to passing on that knowledge to savvy business owners so they can grow and prosper in this mobile world.
Whidbey Marketing Maven is a member of the Local Internet Marketing Association, Google’s Engage for Agencies program, and continuing member of several marketing programs and newsletters.
The Company is also a referral Partner with First Data Merchant Services (developers of the Google Wallet POS –Point of Sale system) in order for clients to ensure their sales transaction equipment is mobile ready.
Meet the Business Owner
Vera A.
Business Owner
Vera’s career history began with nearly 20 years as a Hair Stylist and Trichologist (Science of Hair). Due to health reasons she was unable to continue in that line of work and earned a degree in Accounting. She worked with a CPA for several years, then provided accounting, tax preparation and office management services for a family business for fifteen + years.
In 2005 she began a search for a new career that would be both fascinating to her and helpful to others. .. that pursuit eventually evolved into the founding of Whidbey Marketing Maven and the new Mobile Apps N.W.
Vera enjoys writing and is the author /ghostwriter of five books, so far. Her article ‘Putting Your club on the Map’ was published in the Toastmaster Magazine in July of 2012. The update was included in the following month’s issue.
Vera is a native of the Pacific Northwest and has spent much of her life living on scenic Whidbey Island.
