Eva is absolutely amazing to work with. She is very reliable and responsible which is so important to have in an officiant. I could always get in contact with her about any questions whether they were big or small. I am so happy with my choice in picking her as our officiant. In spite of the rain and tornado warnings she still managed to pull off a beautiful ceremony that even made my husband Steve cry which is hard to do. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. She also has a wonderful personality and makes the wedding process a little easier. I will recommend her to any friends and family members in the future. Thanks so much Eva!

We loved having Eva officiate our wedding for us! We chose to write our own ceremony and vows, and she performed it beautifully. She also has great examples for you if you don’t want to write every single word like we did. And as far as planning goes, I want to give her 5 stars just for always responding to EVERY email within the hour — it is so rare and so appreciated when someone does that! We didn’t have a rehearsal and the day of, she showed up early and went over things with us and our family, and everything happened perfectly. She’s also such a calming influence. You can tell she’s done this a million times. We decided to hire her because she was the only officiant we looked at that had videos online, so we felt like we knew exactly what we were getting and of course, her rates are very reasonable as well (but because of the videos alone, we probably would have paid more because with other officiants, even though we liked them from our conversations, we had no idea what their delivery was actually like at a wedding). She somehow struck the perfect tone of a joyful and ceremonious ceremony — she smiled the whole time during the ceremony (we didn’t want anyone too somber), but kept up a great calm, even pace (which made it ceremonious seeming) and has a great cadence and tone to her reading. I really can’t say enough good things about her — our wedding was so perfect and she obviously played a very important part in that!

Rev. Eva was amazing. I hired her after I found her online and talked to her over the phone. She offers a variety of options and prices that go along with it. Very reasonable as well. I am not the creative type and the material she provided was very helpful to put the ceremony together. My personal favorite was that she responded almost instantly to any email requests. The face-​to-​face Skype meeting prior to the wedding was appreciated. She was on time, even with a long drive. The ceremony was wonderful and Rev. was wonderful, spoke clearly and even built in a German sentence for me and my family in the end. I have nothing but good things to say about her. A lot of the guests mentioned to me afterwards that they really liked her. I highly recommend her service.

We are so happy we found Rev. Eva to officiate our wedding! She was incredibly easy to work with. I was living in a different state when I first spoke to Eva and she recommended we meet over Skype to talk with each other face to face. Rev Eva is so personable and we both felt like she took the time to get to know us personally before officiating our ceremony.
We had a number of elements we wanted to include in our ceremony and I felt Rev Eva really understood and took it all into consideration. She sent us a number of scripts and we were able to use the content and customize it so that it was personal to our relationship. We also incorporated the Rose Gift to the mothers and Ring Warming which our guest really enjoyed. We received so many compliments about Rev Eva afterwards. She also sent us a beautiful certificate and filed the wedding license immediately with du Page County.

My wife and I were struggling to find an officiant for our last minute wedding that we decided to have after the Cook County Clerk began allowing same sex marriages and we picked up our license. We were seriously thinking it would just be a quick and plain ceremony since we were putting it together in 24 hours. However, that was not the case at all.
I came across Rev. Eva when I began looking for lgbtq friendly officiants in the suburbs. I emailed her and she emailed back right away with questions and ideas. She tailored the whole ceremony to us perfectly. She got to know us and shared stories with us. I would recommend her for anyone looking for an officiant!
Plus, my dog absolutely loved her!

My husband and I got married March 1^st 2014 and used Eva as our officiant. I have to tell you just how very pleased we are with her services. We both come from very different religious backgrounds so I was worried about our family not enjoying a non traditional ceremony and we got nothing but gushing compliments! Eva was very easy to work with and so easy to talk to. She’s one of those people you feel like has been you best friend for years even though you just met. My husband and I got married in October and the event coordinator at our venue suggested a different officiant. When that officiant was already booked, we googled other options and found Rev. Eva’s page, A Perfect Fit Rev. Of all the google search results, we chose to contact her first because it was important to us that we support an inclusive officiant. Rev. Eva’s website proudly displays her with with LGBTQ couples, couples from many different racial and ethnic backgrounds, and couples with differing races or ethnicities. We were first introduced over Skype and then officially contracted Rev. Eva as our officiant.
Rev. Eva was excellent through every step of the process. We started planning what kind of ceremony we wanted about 6 months before. She sent us sample scripts for different styles of ceremonies, and told us to let her know of any additions or edits we’d like to make. She offered help with our vows and was willing to do our reading if our friend wasn’t up for it. Rev. Eva was great about keeping in touch. We corresponded through email, and every contact with her was very prompt, professional and thorough. Her attention to all the details actually helped me greatly in staying on track with my planning.
I think she normally meets with the couple immediately prior to the ceremony, but because of the way we planned our event, I wouldn’t arrive until I was walking down the aisle. Because of this, she sent me an email a couple of days before with a play by play of everything — from when she would direct me to face the audience or my groom, how we should stand when we did the ring exchange and vows, etc. That email was so important to me in helping me picture exactly how everything would unfold and helped to calm my nerves. The ceremony went very smoothly, and within a couple days I had a nice email from Rev. Eva sending her congratulations and an electronic copy of our marriage license, and then by the next week we had a paper copy and a souvenir packet with our ceremony script.
I cannot say enough good things about Rev. Eva. It was such a blessing to find an officiant who shares our values and also is so great at what she does.
