We specialize in a «big box» selection presented with «small shop» service. We carry the known labels as well as the limited, collectible ones. We will help you select your wine and spirits for tonight’s dinner or tomorrow’s fundraiser. We will order your favorite craft beer if we don’t carry it (provided it’s not out of stock). Our customers are not numbers to us, but first names.

This is my spot. Every time I need a special beer (or any beer for that matter!) this is where I go. They have a HUGE selection of wines, bourbon (pappy, george t stagg, orphan barrel lost prophet) and just about every other thing you could ask for.
They recently started carrying Pipeworks, they have tons of surly, une annee, firestone walker, deschutes, three floyds, founders, bells, green flash, solemn oath, Belgian beers, domestics.
All the good stuff. Matt is the beer guy, he is knowledgable, friendly and handles the limited releases like a well oiled machine.
Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Unbelievable, personalized service!
I live in LA and needed to have a liquor gift delivered to First Folio Theatre in Oakbrook for their opening night, and these guys patiently dealt with me and the logistics of getting this accomplished over the course of several days, several emails, and several phone calls. The delivery went perfectly right down to the recipient thinking the handwritten note was my handwriting! Patronize these lovely people with the extensive liquor selection who go the extra mile! I’m reluctant to post this review simply because I don’t want to reveal my beer-​obtaining secrets, nor inundate my favorite beer people with requests. Or dilute my ability to purchase hard-​to-​find beers. I am selfish, so this review is an act of pure Unilocal love.
The beer guys here are fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help. They will, if you ask nicely and aren’t a DB, set aside specific coveted beers for your future purchase. If you’re nice. And not a jerk.
The prices here are competitive and the selection is unparalleled. If you are a beer nerd, these are your people.

ok. I’m usually VERY reluctant to post a negative review, but these guys are ripping consumers off! I’m a bourbon collector and have no problem spending a little extra for a rare bottle, but these guys are charging 500% markup over normal retail. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere. foremost, famous & binny’s all have better selection and prices.

Great first impression of this place. I came in looking for a certain rare beer (Hopslam), believing I was at a lost cause that they are most likely sold out. The guy in front noticed me looking in the beer aisle (a big one!) and asked if I was looking for anything in particular. So I let him know it was my first time here and probably a lost cause that I was looking for hopslam. He told me that, for the most part, they sold out of a lot of it but he went in back to check for any remaining. After waiting, he came out with a 6-​pack and told me that he made a lot of calls to co-​workers and friends and was able to obtain one (it originally was a co-​workers, but both the co-​worker and himself gave it up for me). That is an example of going above and beyond for the customer and I will definitely be returning here on my commute from work.

Many thanks to Mary Claire Malloy and the staff at SavWay for supplying beverages for an open house event I helped plan. The wines were very good and priced very competitively. Mary Claire was great keeping me posted and sending us a proposal in a timely manner. They delivered all the beverages right on time.
All in all, excellent customer service. Great selection of wine, beer and spirits at their store as well. Awesome sales, Courteous staff and easy parking.

S-​n-​S alert: (Short-​n-​Sweet)
I like this store. It’s kind of early 80’s funky in terms of décor. You never see any «Just Turned 21» punks in here. Great selection of beer. They usually have Uncommon Brewers Baltic Porter, which gives me hope that someday they’ll have their Golden State Ale (?). Another plus is a whole aisle stocking wine from New Zealand (my fave).
The only thing that gets me is that I’ve never, ever been greeted when I walk in. Employees don’t say much when you check out, either. It’s rather odd. In fact, that’s exactly what it is. I, for some reason, don’t think it’s intentional rudeness… just…odd.
Still, I like the place.
PS — it’s official. I’m an old biddy. I call 21 year olds «punks»…

I absolutely love this store! The prices and selection are great: New Zealand Kim Crawford for $ 11.98? Almost all the time, too. The service is friendly and helpful. The location ideal — just keep going several blocks and you’re on I294.

Selection is pretty decent for a non-Binny’s and prices were even a little cheaper, but then again, most places are cheaper than the growing Binny’s. Nice staff as well! Was ecstatic to find a 12-​pack of Sierra Nevada Torpedo for $ 15. I even found a Parabola in the back. A nice convenient location for anybody in the area.

I’m a big scotch fan, and Savway has a decent selection. Not large, but what they have is very good quality. And the prices are extremely good — usually beating Binny’s (even accounting for the Binny’s discount card). And their sale prices are amazing. Their craft beer selection is also not large, but again, prices are very good.

Savway is a liquor store on the edge of a town (Hinsdale) that was dry (DRY! in this day and age!) until just recently. Need I say more? Let’s just say Savway is a popular spot.
It’s also the closest liquor store to my house which often comes in handy for those impromptu parties where beer, wine and ice are in short supply.
Staff is extremely helpful in finding you just the right item– and the prices are good considering the neighborhood. They will also help in loading your car and getting the ice out of the coolers for you.
You have no idea how surprised I was to find out the town I moved to not that many years ago was dry at the time. Trust me when I say that Savway Liquors saved my sanity on many a night! And then we got smarter in this town and finally repealed Prohibition! Now that only took 60 years!

I had to ship a bottle of champagne and some glasses for a wedding on short notice. I found out from the bride that one of the glasses had cracked en route. These guys were nice enough to comp me a couple more champagne flutes and I’ve been going back ever since.
Prices are competitive and the staff is incredibly helpful.

The closest true liquor store to Hinsdale, one door away basically. Easy access off of Ogden except during rush hour. Moderate prices, with some decent deals but not as good as Sam’s or Binny’s. Will usually hit it up if I am in need for something basic or in a hurry, no reason for a special trip.
Wine selection is decent but a little high on price and also kind of lacking if your looking for anything special.
