History

Established in 1969.

Dr. Robert E. Gorsich has been in the practice of ophthalmology in the Western suburbs of Chicago for the past 35 years. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Training outside Illinois, included an internship in San Diego, California: after which he served two years in the United States Air Force as a Flight Surgeon in Valdosta, Georgia. His residency in ophthalmology was completed at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in 1968.

Business Owner

Dr. Gorsich is an adventurer and free spirit at heart. Photography is one of his passions in life. He has made over fifty dives in the Red Sea and took several thousand underwater photos on those dives. Dr. Gorsich has ventured on numerous helicopter flights over the Hawaiian Islands, taking panoramic photographs on each. He’s made a documentary film about hot-​air ballooning over the Austrian Alps, and has taken panoramic photos of the Maiden Voyage of the Space Shuttle Challenger.

Dr. Gorsich enjoys sharing his travel experiences as well as his photography with his patients. Many of his photographs are displayed in his office for all to enjoy.
