Love this place. Their Penuche tastes just like my grandmothers pecan candy she made years ago. Bought 3 slices(Penuche, Butter Pecan, and Chocolate Pecan fudge) for $ 19.95. So worth it! Thinking about buying more for my coworkers… or more for myself and getting them a box of taffy. Decisions, decisions, lol.

I love Murdick’s Fudge and make at least an annual summer visit. Tonight didn’t disappoint with a slice of delicious Rocky Road. However, it did disappoint with a customer service/operational change that seems absurd. For the 30+ years I’ve been patronizing, I’ve always had a hard time choosing my two flavors from so many great and different options. The minimum purchase is a slice for around $ 11, and you could always get two ½s. Tonight I was told that the owner changed the policy in June because it took too long to cut a piece of fudge in half. I was the only person in the store. I was told if I wanted two flavors, I had to buy $ 20 worth of fudge. So, reluctantly and sadly I left the other flavors there, almost wanting to walk out I was so frustrated, but Rocky Road and I went home together. Does the fraction of a second it takes to use those paint spackle slicers of days past really require this change, or can you at least reconsider when it isn’t busy? Nostalgic for my chocolate/cranberry split, my chocolate peanut butter combo, or my penuche/chocolate walnut. Maybe next year.
