What can I say… I grew up during the heyday of Pantera’s pizza in St. Louis. I was so excited when I first came across this location a few years ago. It’s like stepping back in time. The ambiance, the cups, the plates, and most importantly… the pizza!!! They still have the«Hunk» which is the only way to order a Pantera’s pizza. I no longer live in the St. Louis area(more like NYC now), but every time I come home, this is one of the first places I want to go each time. Made it here twice on my last trip. The owner and the staff are all just really friendly people… and that Pantera’s pizza… just the best! Now if I can just find a way to ship this to NY! :D

Went in today for buffet which my kids wanted to try. Food was not that good and place was small. Overpriced for the food quality.

I was having a discussion with several co-workers about my yearning for deep dish pizza here in the land of flat pies. The consensus in the group was that I needed to give this place a shot. My Friday had started with an early-morning run to Ray’s where I picked up 10-dozen donuts for work… so breakfast was delicious. Lunch sucked and it was a 12-hour day of ‘hand-counting everything in the warehouse’ inventory fun so when the wife suggested meeting for dinner this was the place I chose. I ordered the smaller size of their«hunk» pizza with Italian sausage & onions for me to split with kid 2. The crust was lighter than I expected but still very good. The topping were bountiful although I think they would do very well to find a local butcher shop to make their sausage and bump up the amount of fennel to make it really special. I really liked the fact that their sauce had a nice amount of flavor instead of the bland stuff that is so common in STL. All in all, a pretty satisfactory scratch for my Chicago pizza itch. They are a little hard to find if you’re not from the area but worth the trip!

Pantera’s remains my favorite pizza restaurant since childhood. It’s so good, when I’m not dining in with the family we order one hot and one frozen to go. But the frozen never seems to make it through the night. Btw… their customer service is awesome! I highly recommend.

Disappointing… My wife and I came in on a Friday night about 8pm, The dinning area was about half full of dirty dishes which remained on the table our entire visit. As fro food we had what my wife described as the worst taco pizza she has ever had, and the«salad bar».(Lettuce and soggy fixings and dressing). The pizza had more of a sloppy joe taste then taco). 25 bucks wasted.

Great taco pizza. Old fashioned style business. Always great food. Wish they had an employee that has the nerve to tell parents to watch their children. Very disruptive.

I love the pizza here. It’s always good. I’ve been eating here for as long as I can remember. It’s one of the staples in O’Fallon. It’s also one of the last in the area. The place has had an update as far as colors goes but it’s still a favorite of everyone. On snow days, you will find school administrators from all the schools in the area there. The staff is also very friendly too and easy to talk to. They can be helpful as well. My only down side is that even though they did the new paint job, it’s not great and the place could stand to use a few more updates or repairs.

Just as good as it was back when Pantera’s ruled St. Louis back in the 80s. Go for the original hunk. For whatever reason, I love the hambuger… even though I’m almost always a pepperoni purist!

I’ve been eating at Panteras for as long as I can remember. From the one in Harvester MO to the one in Ofallon MO. Try the double pork sausage, thin crust, well-done pizza. It will not disappoint! They offer several different crusts and sausages along with a mid day buffet with a great sampling.

I wouldn’t even give them one star didn’t eat. Called to place an order for delivery. Gave them my address the girl said hold on comes back didn’t have the street spelled right spelled it to her put me on hold. I’m sorry not on our map we don’t deliver there. Hmmmm I live 1 mile from your front door. You have delivered here before she was rude. But I’m only one customer you lost so far. Will never call or come back. Get a clue. I have an idea since you can’t read your map get an app. It will point it out for you. No worries though called Stefanina’s food was delivered 45 min later. So thankful they found me on there map!

The food is really good especially the pizza. The staff is friendly and attentive. It is a little rundown so that why it got 4 instead of 5 stars. And they run a special on Sundays where drinks are free with a food purchase.

Lunch buffet is tragic. Small, grimy plastic plates. The pizza looks nothing like what is pictured on the website and it looked suspiciously like cheap, frozen, grocery store pizza. Guess it’s cheaper for them to buy it frozen vs. making it like you would expect. Maybe the economy is catching up with them and they’ve had to reduce their product to this unacceptable level because based on other reviews, it seems they had good food in the past. I hate to dump on a local business but I wouldn’t waste my time here for lunch again if it was free. Stay away.

I grew up with Pantera’s. Worked for them in the 80“s This is St. Louis nostalgia for me. The owner operators of this unit do a good job. Happy to have it close enough to help my occasional Pantera’s crave.

One day I was sitting in the bathtub just getting my bath on and drinking my morning Diet Shasta and I said to my self«I said you deserve Pantera’s!!» I quickly and urgently grabbed my phone off the sink and ordered 2 pepperoni and Canadian Bacon pizzas. I went back to the bathtub and waited for the pizza. 20 minutes later I heard a knock at the door. First I was afraid that it was my ex who I filed a restraining order against. I was relieved when it was only the delivery guy. I quickly put on my LA Raiders jacket and my fruit of the looms so I could be presentable for the delivery guy. I was so enthused I grabbed another Diet Shasta from the fridge, grabbed my pizzas and went back to the bath tub! My mom says I should get a job! I say nay all I need is Pantera’s!

I come here often to try the Lunch Buffet whenever I’m off work or because of a holiday. Al, the owner, is always at the register during this time and he greets you warmly and pleasantly and asks how things are going. He might be a nicest guy you’ll meet in the restaurant industry. That means a lot. I’m always able to find something I like because they put a good variety on the buffet. They also have dessert pizzas. I like that they have a punch card in that you get a free buffet after nine purchases.

It’s ok, went for lunch new to the area and they give you little baby plates for the buffet, then when you want another plate the guy behind the counter ask for you to bring up your dirty one(kind of weird) the food on the buffet is ok — but was cold. Price was good. Tried to keep an open mind but not impressed.

Don’t just get the pizza. The wings are the best in the county! Seriously, I love this place. I wish I worked closer to hit up the lunch buffet like I used to. I love how original it is and how they never ever let me down.

I have not been to a Pantera’s in over fifteen years. I stopped in with some friends to see how things were going in the world of local pizza. I walked in, met some friendly staff, and ordered two large pizzas. I had«The Hog» and«The Combo». Both were delicious, but«The Hog» was just wonderful. It was a three meat, two cheese, thick crust victory of pizza. It came quick and hot, and I ate until I was uncomfortable. They have a pizza lunch buffet from 11:00am until 1:30pm. We just missed it so I will probably try and stop in again in a few weeks to try that out. I will follow up when I do. ;)
