I love coming in here for a gel mani, it always lasts more than 2 weeks and I’m pretty rough with my nails. Sophia is my favorite nail tech, she is very sweet and does a fantastic job.

Guy at the front has a bad, very self important attitude and –whatever you do– don’t ever go in there for waxing. You’ll come out looking like early 90s Vanilla Ice.

I actually walked into this place for a gel manicure and immediately walked out! It smells so terrible, I don’t know how anyone in there could breathe. It smells worse than the nail places inside Walmarts or malls. Do yourself and your body a favor and go down the street to Luxury Nail Salon. They have amazing prizes, open all tools new out of the package for each service and there is NO smell! My gel manicure always lasts the full two weeks when Luxury does my nails too. they just happened to be closed on vacation when I needed my nails done to leave town.

Just had my nails done at the salon and was pretty happy, she did hurt two of my fingers. But overall a good place to go.

I would given Magic Nails a higher review, but for one male nail tech. I have unfortunately gotten him as my nail tech three times for a mani/pedi. He seemed condescending and judgmental. He made fun of my nail polish color for being too light, almost refused to cut my nails short because he thought it wasn’t girly, and on another visit actually said my job in the environmental wasn’t real or important. I really like the salon other than him, and it’s unfortunate because I don’t want to come back.

It’s very no nonsense but equally enjoyable. Pedicure chairs are insanely comfy and very clean. I recommend the hot wax pedicure treatment. Appointment is highly recommended during the weekend. I’m definitely going again!

Vincent was amazing. Best callus removal scrub I’ve ever had! He even advised that I should leave polish off for a few weeks for the sake of nail health! I’ll be back! Clean facilities –pedicure tubs are lined with disposable liners. New comfy reclining leather chairs to relax in if you get the deluxe pedicure with paraffin!

I’ve been here a few times. The salon is extremely clean and the staff are competent. I have only had pedicures here, but the techs were thorough and the pedicure lasted almost three weeks. Will definitely return.

Fantastic, and that’s coming from an admittedly snobbish nail service consumer. This shop is clean as a whistle — absolutely no concern whatsoever about any risk of catching something funky from my pedicure bowl or the tools used on my feet. I also appreciate a well managed salon and it’s clear the owner/manager runs a right ship. I upgraded to one of their special pedicures(the«southern Illinois» I believe, which as a native, just felt right) and the service included a paraffin dip with time in the most intensely fabulous massage chair ever. I mean, I may make the drive from Chicago soon just to get in that chair again. Highly recommend.

Absolutely LOVED this place and so did my friend! We got the deluxe pedicure and a Manicure both were amazing! This place is clean and well kept up. The staff is very friendly, made me feel amazingly comfortable! They did my pedicure and manicure at the same time while I was getting a massage from the amazing massage chair! My friend really enjoyed her experience as well and I really like Magic Nails & Spa.

I have tried a few other places and always went back to Tom. He only works there one night a week now so I haven’t gone back to try someone else though. I had eyebrow wax too and the lady was very good and quick. They are always nice when I come in or call. It’s pretty clean and I have never felt uncomfortable. I wouldn’t give it a 5 star just because it’s not a luxury spa, but it’s pretty nice overall. Also the rates are very reasonable for the quality. The chairs are comfortable especially the one you get when you have the upgraded pedicure and they dip your feet in paraffin.

Came here for a Pedi and was very pleased. Typical nail salon and lacks the visual room luxury but was able to select from a menu what Pedi I wanted. Ann gave me a Pedi and she was very nice. I would come back.

I’ve been coming to Magic Nail & Spa since 2010. The service is excellent. The salon is meticulously clean. I have had manicures and pedicures by almost everyone who works in the salon; and all do a terrific job. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality. They have a large selection of OPI nail polish colors to chose from. I have always been satisfied with the manicures and pedicures at this salon. I’ve had others comment on how nice my nails look, and it’s all due to the wonderful manicures I’ve received from this salon!

I have had good experiences at Magic Nails. The main thing is they seem very clean, and they autoclave their tools. The pedicures are wonderful and you get your feet dipped in paraffin and wrapped in plastic while you relax in the final massage chair. This is available for the basic pedicure as well as the more expensive pedicures. May ask them to use a finer nail file when getting a manicure. They have the course files used on the artificial nails.

I cannot comment on the manicures, they might do a horrible job on this end, but the pedicures are to DIE for! Firstly you can get a cheapy pedi for $ 25, this may not be as cheap as #1 Nails, but the service and what you get is way better. I’m not sure what someone was talking about there nail polish falling off, but they do use OPI which is what most nail places I have been to use. The chairs that you actually do sit in are quite vigorous, I ended up turning mine off. It is nice to come into a place where most workers are american/asian and speak great english. I did not hear them once speak in there language back and forth to each other. This to me is lots of kuddos cause between the laughing and what not you know they aren’t talking about any of their customers. The pedicure itself was great(not the best) but definitely worth coming back too. I am in love with the second chair you get to lay back in and sit in that massages your calves and lower back. The parrafin dip was quite hot, i love hot, it might hurt other people though. All in all, i would come back here and pay an extra $ 10.00 any day :) Give it a try for a pedi, i will try a mani sometime when I have the time to stay.

I can’t believe this place has such poor ratings. I have been several times for manis and pedis and have always recieved quick excellent service. My nails have always looked great. Also, very, very clean. I would recommend this place.

I posted a picture of my nails done last night. Awful. I had a person named Tammy filling my nails and she stopped twice to work on someone’s feet, without even washing her hands. My nails have never looked so horrid.

Ok, I hate the idea of manicures and pedicures, and I don’t end up feeling«pampered,» I feel stressed, nervous, and like I’m doing the wrong thing all the time. Even so, I can judge this place fairly for the following things: — I didn’t like that most of the nail polish started coming off 2 days after the manicure. — I didn’t like that my nails were jagged after a cursory filing. — I didn’t like that it was demanded that I pay the bill before my nails were done — I understand that this might be so that you don’t have to dig around in your purse before your nails are done, but no one else in my party had to do this, which made the overall billing confusing. — I thought all of the pedicure procedures were fine. — Overall they were pretty gentle, although the massage chairs were more like torture chairs. So, granted, I don’t know anything about pedicures and manicures, but I know enough to know what I don’t like.
