JC Penney has been declining since their new CEO took over. While I like their new pricing, I feel their quality is terrible. Their clothes no longer fit me as they had in the past. And no, I haven’t gained any weight so I’m not sure what the deal is. The fabric used seems to be thinner and lesser quality. I would suggest going to Kohl’s to find better value for your money.

I wonder how many TONS of dress shorts I’ve worn out through the years. Especially white ones. Or how many corn stalks gave their lives for my «lightly starched» preference. Or, most irritating of all, how many hours I have devoted to ironing my expensive «no-​wrinkle» shirts. In such a world of wasteful woe, I am startled by how much I like the JCP Stafford Essentials oxford shirt, especially in the increasingly difficult-​to-​find shade of ecru. Just be careful that you ACTUALLY change the little shirt-​color indicator button as you move down the page on your web order form, or you might find yourself making an exchange at the store, like I did recently. I do not like the construction traffic near St. Clair Square, and I do not like waiting in line at the customer service desk. But the employee who helped me did a great job processing my exchange. After replacing several stained shirts with new ones, my closet looks much happier.
