Blue Sky Cafe and Bar

Our first time here. It was delicious! Great atmosphere. Service was spot on. I had a pink lady martini, it was delicious. We had the special and Voodoo Shrimp pasta. It was great! We will definitely be back.

Food good. Atmosphere nice. Drinks strong. So kudos. However, we are at a service establishment and the service Is just subpar. That’s a fancy word for crappy. We had a server who was fairly attentive. However my wife and I commented she hadn’t smiled one time. No thank you, no warm feeling. Not being picky but watched this employee all night and was very cold. Everybody has a bad day, apparently this was hers. No worries.

Went on a Thursday afternoon.
Table had to be wiped down. no big reallly… but they should of taken the towel with them after the fact. Not after they take the food away.
Wanted to try the gryo… took a bite ended up with a bread tie twisty IN the gyro.
Take 2 with the gyro. looks like they just slapped the meat onto the sandwich… the first one had a better look.
Meat tasted like spam. Spam. actually I think spam has more of a flavor. … the goat cheese was fine as was the sauce.
Served in a pie dish that left a mess on the table when Mike took it away.
Was told manager would come to talk to me. 30 mins later the manager came to talk to me. At least they didn’t charge me for it… even if I was willing to pay…
It seems like a nice place. I my try it again. They do have a martini or 60 to try!

I love their martinis. Always have great service. Sometimes the food isn’t always the best, mostly fryer food so no big deal.

One of the best, if not the best, restaurants around. They are always willing to customize any meal to your liking. The cocktails are made correctly. (They don’t cheat you)

Love the atmosphere! Not to mention the food is fantastic and selection of martinis is eclectic — something you don’t always see on this side of the river. Went on a Saturday night and wait time was appropriate, both dining and bar seating. Staff was very friendly and willing to guide you through the menu favorites. Will definitely be back — and asking about the martini club (punch card for martinis — what adult wouldn’t love that?!).

The burgers are to die for. I love the American burger or whatever it’s called with American, Swiss and cheddar cheeses. The fries are also delicious!!! Always good service whether it’s to-​go or dine in! Oh and make make sure to save room for the brownie bites. They are heaven scent.

Visit here on occasion and tonight sat in the bar. As we ordered saw the bar tender say she was hot. They turned the air on, on a night when it was chilly out. The cold air was blowing down on our table and made our Luke warm food even colder. It didnt help that we had to ask for silverware to eat our food. Looking around and people are putting jackets on. It is not that crowded maybe bartender should of worn short sleeves.

I went with another couple and had chicken alfredo, cobb, salad, and a burger. The burger and fries were really good. The fries came out hot and golden brown. They were better than many other restaurants’ fries. The salad portion sizes were gargantuan. The cobb salad looked like it came out in a mixing bowl. The people who ordered the chicken alfredo pasta complained about a lack of taste and not having enough sauce.
I ordered an old fashioned which was pretty good. It was strong. They also had a few drink beers and wines but primarily focused on fruity martinis according to their drink menu.
Service was slow but we had no other complaints.

Really really yummy food. Ask them to make you a buffalo chicken salad, even though it’s not on the menu. It’s really great! They have all around delicious food. Never ordered anything bad. The drinks are good too! Cheaper than Massa’s that’s right down the road, but still as strong :)

I am so surprised by all the reviews about bad service! I have been here many times and have never had bad service! The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Admittedly things get a little crazy when they are busy, but I still feel as if the staff is doing their very best to keep up with the demand.
I always think the food is great, the only complaint I have ever had is that their fries are often soggy or cold.
I’ve introduced a number of people to this restaurant and everyone ALWAYS wants to come back!

Blue sky is good for a dinner with the family. I am a fan of there pizza. We were served right away. Fast for a restaurant. We left the house at about 6:45 and got home at about 7:30. If you don’t mind an hour dinner, good food, and nice staff than this place is for you

I used to enjoy eating here, but it has gone downhill dramatically lately and my last two visits were so bad that I will never go back. I went with a friend last night and sat on the patio. The place was dead, but It took 30 minutes to get one drink! We decided not to even attempt ordering food and went somewhere else instead. As we walked out I saw the entire wait staff standing around gossiping and ignoring what few customers they had. There didn’t appear to be any management at all. A big disappointment!

Wouldn’t come back here unless you paid me. And even then I’d say it’s not worth the time. The staff is terrible. Our waitress was slow and timid. We all ordered simple sandwiches. Mine was a patty melt which was bland as could be. My mother got the prime rib sandwich (they were out of the turkey sandwich she wanted apparently) and it came with wilted lettuce and NO sauce. My father got a Ruben which had questionable ham instead of corned beef. ALL of our fries were dark brown and flavorless. We ordered hot wings and they brought us bourbon wings with blue cheese drizzled all over them and I hate blue cheese. But that wasn’t the issue — we ordered hot wings, not bourbon wings. Not to mention that when they brought the wings back they were the exact same wings just tossed in the hot sauce. Will NOT be coming back.

Nothing pisses me off more than to be told we have a reservation and the to find out our table has been given away. Asked to speak with a manager and they refused to get on for us.
They can take my «Dukedom» and put 8t where the sun never shines. Customers are not important.
Just avoid this place altogether if you want decent service.

My first time I ordered the food here was to go and it had a long piece of hair in it.
I called back and the manager Alicia helped me out and was very helpful. She offered to replace my meal, so I took her up on that offer. A couple of weeks later I called to get my ordered replaced and that was an easy transaction.
I got the fish sandwich with tator tots. Fish sandwich was okay at best. Lacked toppings and flavor. They put tarter sauce on the side and it comes with lettuce and tomato. The tator tots were okay as well. The whole meal tasted just fried but nothing else, too much of an oily taste. Trust me I know fried meals are suppose to taste fried but this just taste like oil. The service here is great, but the food lacks flavor.

Not going back. We missed a sign on the door that stated the kitchen was closed. Greeted by rude staff that suggested we were idiots for not seeing the little print out on the door. No thanks.

I’m going to start off with the service. Service here is atrocious. Actually, it’s non-​existent. You need to go to the bar on a slower day because your waitress is also the bartender. I needed my ice tea to be refilled and never got one.
The next part is unforgiving. What came out seemed very pleasing to the eye but in reality the fish tacos were overseasoned with salt. The fries were limp despite them coming out piping hot which annoys the hell out of me. How can hot fries not be crispy!?!
Do yourself a favor and just walk out even if you just sat down…

I will give this place two stars because the staff is nice and their drinks and fries are good. But. We won’t be going back.
First time we came: great server, above-​average food. I got a lavosh pizza that was pretty good, and big enough to feed the entire table. (It is actually served in the pan it’s baked in. I’m sure the restaurant thinks this is clever, but it comes across as lazy and frankly it takes up an embarrassing amount of the table.) Anyway — it was decent and close to home. Done.
So, tonight, we let our daughter pick. Blue Sky. Fine. We go… and it sucks. Waiter obviously new. Chicken obviously used after being «rescued» from freezer burn. The «nachos» app was — literally — eight chips covered in cheese and aforementioned chicken, with a huge pile of wilted lettuce and brown guacamole (see pictures) in the middle. Not three minutes after the app arrives, our meals arrive — and the waiter stands there awkwardly while we scramble to make room on the table. Never cleared a single plate, despite how badly they were piling up on the table.
Service sucked. Our meals sucked. Husband’s martini and fries were the only good part of the meal. Bummed, because we wanted to find a great neighborhood place. But we aren’t going back. Food quality doesn’t appear to be a priority — definitely not in terms of what we were served this time around — and we aren’t risking it. Bummed.
