The personal service and individual fitting process at Big River is unlike that of your normal sporting goods store. Also unique to Big River is its unwavering commitment to give back to the sport. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities come to Big River not just to buy shoes, apparel and gear, but to socialize, to train and to be a part of a running and walking community.

History
Established in 2006.
What began as an innocent idea discussed during a run between friends and teammates turned into an amazing Big River Running community with four stores, 30+ employees, a growing number of first-class signature events and a race management company that works with 100+ races each year.
It began with Matt Helbig and Ben Rosario, native St. Louisans who both ran together as members of the St. Louis Blazers youth track team, competed against one another at their respective high schools (Rockwood Summit and SLUH) and were teammates in college at Truman State University. On a post-collegiate run, they started talking about how great it would be to open a running store in St. Louis. And they did!
Since Big River Running opened in 2006, it has focused on building a community where runners and walkers can purchase great gear, learn about the running, build relationships with knowledgeable staff, meet training partners and friends and have fun!
