Being a waitress I tend to avoid restaurants on Valentine’s Day, however my boyfriend and I were dying to try this place and it did not disappoint. The wait was long, obviously it’s Valentine’s Day, what do people expect! But it was extremely worth it. I love to look at the behind scenes, every single staff member was on point and the flow of the restaurant was impeccable. All the staff made sure we were well taken care of, but Mike mainly served us throughout our meal and he didn’t even break a sweat, even when customers constantly blocked his way to his tables standing there like a deer in headlights. We will definitely be back again, the staff and food kicked some serious ass.

Breakfast on Sundays. A most stop in to eat place of you are in area. Place is a bit small but that just means being closer to the one you are with.

Went this morning it was packed for Valentine’s Day but got lucky and got seats at the counter. Everyone was super friendly and the food was yummy. I had the carmel apple pancakes and my boyfriend had a cesar salad. I will definitely be going back

One of my favorite home style breakfast spots in rockland… fresh food great friendly service and the prices are reasonable as are the portions. It tends to be extremely busy and tables are limited so keep that in mind when visiting. It’s also a cash only.

Wanted to pop in for breakfast after reading the great reviews and Strawberry Place did not disappoint. It was busy being a Sunday morning, but my friend and I were able to snag 2 seats at the bar. I couldn’t decide whether I wanted something savory or sweet, there were so many options. Ultimately, the Nutella French toast won me over. How could I resist challah French toast stuffed with banana and Nutella? Then topped with strawberries and strawberry ice cream. Chocolate & ice cream for breakfast! I had to order a side of home fries to counter all of the sugar. Overall, I had a great meal and would definitely go back. Make sure to bring cash!

This place is great!!! My GF and I stopped here prior to getting on the road to drive to Canada. It has such a cozy feel to it. The food was so good and the portions were huge. It was one woman serving all the tables so the wait time was a little longer than usual but nothing crazy. We will deff go back.

Breakfast was great. The fruit flies circling were annoying but did not concern me regarding the cleanliness of the place. I feel that I can’t grade this place fairly as I simply ordered and omelet and potatoes. The look of the pancakes and French toast, etc. made me envious of the others. Mine was just grade A Ok. But, if I were to go back, my order would be different.

Best breakfast place around, the menu is filled with so many choices everything looks so good. I left with a full stomach. The only downfall is a long wait but it’s so worth it

Food was amazing. Ambiance was warm and welcoming. We arrived at about 12 on a Sunday afternoon. We waited about half an hour to get seated. So worth it. I had the country scrambled plate and my boyfriend had the Mexican omelette. Definitely worth many more visits!

Pretty cool place for breakfast if your are around Rockland county NY. Parking may be tough to find as there is on meter street parking. Its probably even worst on Sundays where people will hog the space forever. They have cool and ever changing menu which makes me want to go back. I don’t remember what I ordered but i took a pic. Not sure if its cash only but it’s worth going over there for a try.

This place has been around in Nyack for as long as I can remember. Cute little spot in Nyack that is known to all the rockland county locals. Staff is very friendly and service is always top notch! You can come in 5 mins before closing and they won’t turn you down! Wish they could stay open a little later

A super cute spot for breakfast. One of the only spots around the area specializing in breakfast and brunch food. Came here on a weekday late morning and was surprised to see it packed! The restaurant itself is fairly small, and accepts only cash, so come prepared. After a little wait for a table, It took forever to place our orders and get our food, maybe because it was very busy. I ordered a stuffed nutella french toast and coffee, and my friend ordered an omelette. The coffee was decent. I was overjoyed to see my super chocolatey dish which was really more dessert than breakfast! It was super indulgent, and I couldn’t get myself to finish my plate. Overall, it is a cute café with great breakfast and really fair prices. It was only about 20 dollars for a filling breakfast for two. Will definitely return!

2015 is coming to an end and I have moved twice since leaving my hometown in NY, however, every time I come back to visit and check out the Strawberry Place, I see the same smiling faces that have been serving me for over 20 years! The quality of the place is still superb, for the price, it is still delicious and fresh… and I am a food and city snob! Mostly, I just love that this is a home owned and run business where everyone is treated like family and the food is excellent. If you really care about the service, then you should try a different place — where you won’t get breakfast for 4 under $ 50!!! This place is busy but you don’t pay for the service — get over it! Thank you for being the best — after all these years! xoxo

It’s pretty sad that this place has a reputation as the best brunch in Nayak. Maybe I’m a city-dwelling snob, but I think a restaurant that focuses on pancakes and waffles should actually make a good pancake and waffle. My waffle order came out very undercooked. It had the texture of a microwaved eggo waffle. The eggs benedict were pathetic: yolks cooked through. Watery, un-inspiring hollandaise. A slice of deli ham instead of candian bacon. Coffee was probably foldgers. Maybe dunkin donuts. Service was adequate. The place is so busy that the staff doesn’t have to do more than not screw up your order. Hard to say their friendly, but not terrible. Coming from the east village, I really do try to lower my expectations when eating out of the city, but I was expecting this to be a quaint, notch-above-a-diner, type experience. Instead the food worse than your average greesy spoon, with the added enjoyment of an hour wait and cash only. Definitely wouldn’t head back!

I hadn’t had an opportunity to come here again in over a decade until today and, thankfully, nothing’s changed. This place is as famous for its wait times as it is for its food; even on a late-summer Thursday morning, there was a 20-minute wait for a table. It was a zoo inside, but it was controlled chaos thanks to three young and competent members of the wait staff and a busboy. The service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was rich and tasty, even when it was just black. Everything else was spectacular as well, just as I’d remembered from all those years ago. Their pancakes are can’t miss, the home fires were buttery and cooked perfectly, and even their sausage was noteworthy. Best of all, somehow the wait time for our food was shorter than the amount of time we waited for our table! When was the last time you were able to say THAT?!

I don’t know you, but I’m going to make a bold prediction: If you don’t like the breakfast here you’re probably the absolute worst type of person. Like Hitler. Yes. I don’t have any idea what you’re about… but you sir or madam, are worse than Hitler. And having established that I don’t know the first thing about you, I have no clue if you’ve studied history at all. But Hitler was a preeeetty bad guy. They serve French toast with ice cream on it, for f*ck’s sake. Huge, Nutella and banana stuffed challah french toast with strawberry ice cream. If that is something you can’t get behind, I think you need to re-evaluate your entire life. I had a somewhat«healthier» alternative called the«Waistline Waffle» with heaps of granola and fresh berries on top. The waffle was gigantic, golden and malty and the portion of granola and fruit was so generous, I’m pretty sure it was a poor choice for anyone’s waistline. Not that it mattered, because I’d already blown that dream to hell with sides of bacon and home fries(also awesome). It gets crowded quick. We arrived 15 minutes past open and got the table in back with a view of the creek. By the time we were finished it was slammed. My only gripe was that there was only one poor guy serving the entire place, but he was friendly and did his best. I wouldn’t have been half as pleasant under the same circumstances. You’d be wearing a waffle hat. Try this place. You’ll love it. If you don’t, you can always slink back to the underground bunker from whence you came.

I really like Strawberry Place. It’s cute and charming and has some lovely menu options. I have never had breakfast here, so this review is for the lunch, which is usually just fine. It’s also a little sticky and the service is never great. It’s hard to get a water refill, for example, and the salsa aren’t really exciting, but I do like it and will go back.

Great brunch spot and also FYI it’s BYOB in case you wanted to bring champaign… For brunch I literally wanted to order everything off the menu since my eyes are bigger than my stomach. I was torn between the pumpkin stuffed pancakes or the stuffed nutella french toast. Reflecting back I probably should have ordered both but now I just have an excuse to go back! The nutella french toast was probably the highlight of my weekend next to purchasing a new tv. It was stuffed with bananas and swirls of cinnamon and each bite was better than the next. If you like nutella I recommend ordering it! The eggs Benedict were also delicious and my theory as to why it is so delicious is premised on the fact that instead of an english muffin they used a croissant which is both genius and life changing!
