Holy yum! Great food and beer. Will be back. I didn’t even know I liked German food. It’s a smaller restaurant but that adds to the ambience. Don’t pass it up. Wish I had saved room for dessert!

We’ve ordered here a few times for lunch(my office orders out in Nyack alot). Our most recent takeout experience was not good. A few of us ordered the double double wurst sandwich. It was just that… the worst.

Fantastic tiny restaurant in Nyack. Authentic German food and friendly staff. They have excellent seasonal beer on tap at the bar as well. We’ve had the Saurbraten, Rouladen, a mushroom soup and a cheesey beer soup along with some of the sides like pretzels. Everything was perfect. On the last visit, We took our toddler age girls and went early in the evening when the restaurant was less crowded. The staff really made it a pleasurable experience. I saw a few complaints about service on older posts. The place is small(including the Kitchen) so I could see it getting a little crazy when packed but I think they’ve really addressed any issues they have had. We’ll be back!

You can’t eat here all the time… that’s my first line after going two days in a row! Lol. The food is wonderful and paired well with their selection of beers. In two days I tried a wide variety of menu items and can say I was not disappointed by any of it. I recommend the sampler wurst platter, your choice of a few wurst and some sides. For sides the Snetzel is a must along with the potato pancakes. As for the wurst I say try them all. Weinershnitzel was really good too. For appetizers the baked Brie and the bacon cheese dip were both great! The staff is kind a attentive. I also met and had a long conversation with the owner. She is awesome and a staple of the neighborhood. Last but most important the mustards and the homemade apple sauce! Try it all!!!

3.5 stars. I was a bit surprised at how authentic and fun this place is. Tiny little spot on main street in Nyack attached next to Olives. Same owner. Great big German beers! Any German meats, schnitzels etc u need! Chicken, veal, beef. A bit pricey but you have to check this place out if you like wurst, stroganoff or shnitzel and a cool Germanic atmosphere and fare! Great service! Unique place. Not many like this around. Potatoes are amazing!

Just OK. not terrible, but not terribly authentic or great either. The waitress was friendly and helpful. The biggest disappointment was finding lipstick on one of the mugs! Big NO! the pork sandwich i had was tasty, just not fabulous. i dont recommend this place since there are many better restaurants along this street in nyack. i wish it was an authentic german restaurant, that would be a nice addition to Nyack.

Overall I was satisfied with the meal. The food was good and the service friendly. The owner came by a couple of times to say hi and check on the tables. We even spent a few minutes talking with her. I would go back again. The reason for the 4 stars is only because it was good … Not great :)

Great beef stroganoff and the service was great. Apple strudel was delicious. Too bad the black forest wasn’t made, maybe next time. Chef was kind and came to the table. Will visit again!

An absolute disrespect to German restaurants and pubs alike by way of their inadequate and uninspired approach to a relatively simple cuisine backed by an apathetic staff.
