Customer service is suburb !!! They do not have any 1.75(Jameson and jack Daniel) … I doubt it sells so I bought the 750ml! Street parking is a hit or miss, but the store seems to have plenty of selections especially when it comes down to wines as well!

Prices are decent but unfortunately they have a small fridge so chilled white wine is pretty limited and the one i choose was well… WACK! Made me fe el embarrased Good Red wine selection and unchilled white wine. Very convenient when wirh friends at nearby peruvian resturaunt

I really love Palmieri! It is really unique to have a store like this in downtown Nyack. Being able to walk to pick up a bottle of wine at 7:30pm on a Monday is a great advantage. The store may not be the prettiest or the selection huge but again this is Main street and space is limited. In addition these are some of the nicest and most helpful store owners I’ve met. I try to avoid visiting other stores just to give them my business.

The staff is nice enough. The selection is decent. The prices are fair. But that’s where the positive comments end for me… My biggest beef with this place is that they post print out’s of snippets of stellar reviews from credible wine mags for the wines they have there… but almost all of them are for vintages different than are actually what is stocked. This is a shady practice, in my opinion. Just because a 2010 vintage got a 90pt score from Wine Advocate definitely doesn’t mean their 2012 was even close to similar. If this is unintentional deception because of lack of knowledge on their part, shame on them. If it is intentional deception just to make a sale, double shame on them.

I’ve only been here twice, but the bottles are dusty, the selection limited, and I just don’t get a good vibe from this place. Like Lydia L., I was happy with the modestly priced wines, however, the liquor selection can be a bit limited — they only have one brand of triple-sec, for example. They’re very hands-off, and do not seem to like making recommendations, but if you’re in downtown Nyack, it’s your only option for buying liquor. If you really want a bargain, this is not the place, but they are not over-priced.

My expectations were not that high when I entered Palmieri because upon at first glance it is not much to look at. But I was soon pleasantly surprised by their selection of modestly priced vinos among the uninspired décor. We left with two more bottles(!) for our now bulging wine cellar, a Napa Merlot and a California Cabernet Sauvignon. We would have left with more had it not been for the fact that it is challenging to transport just two bottles on a Harley. The couple behind the register was very pleasant and went out of their way to make sure our bottles were securely packaged for their ride home. We will be back!
